Monster Integration (Web Novel)-Chapter 4392: Preparations
Chapter 4392: Preparations
I stopped as I reached the base of the crater.
Meter ahead of me is the energy, dangerous energy that had raised all the hair on my body.
This is dangerous without a doubt; going straight inside would be a mistake. I make many mistakes, but even I am not that big of an idiot.
A moment later, a ring and a half dozen grey balls with blue runes appeared in my hand.
They are intricate, forged for this.
Buzz!
They buzzed as I activated them, before throwing them into the dense energy.
The moment they entered, I felt the links between them and the ring weaken rapidly, until only the faint threat remained: the one powered by the forbidden energy.
This energy is not only dangerous, but also suppressive and erosive.
It wants to erode everything, and it does that very fast. It is why I have been warned not to stay inside for more than ten minutes and remain within five miles of the range.
Going further will shrink my chances of survival further.
I have a lot of data about this place, but that’s not about me. I am different from the rest, and I want to know how it will react with me before going inside.
Over a minute passed, and the data began to come. Seeing it, my eyes couldn’t help but widen.
This is very dangerous, but also exciting.
I calmed myself down and read the data as it came. As I read it, different emotions will appear in my eyes, joy, fear, disappointment, and many other things.
Minutes passed, and soon, I got enough data, so I appeared a mile away and took out my abode.
It is dangerous, but my abode will survive long enough for me to get out safely. So, I didn’t have to fear the tide coming in and messing things up while I was inside.
It will be hours before I get all the data I need, and there is no need to sit outside.
I could lie here in the comfort of my abode, studying the data in my core in time dilation. Making use of every resource, I have been efficient.
I lay down on the chair on the porch before closing my eyes.
I appeared in my core, and three clones were already studying the data. I had joined them without wasting any time.
An hour passed, and then another, when inheritance appeared in front of us, and we began to make the changes according to the data we had obtained.
We need to make a lot of changes, because ten minutes isn’t enough to get what I want.
I need at least an hour on every trip, even more.
I need that metal and not a few nuggets of it, but more, far more, and a single trip is far from enough to get it, even with all my abilities.
Though I had gotten two small nuggets already.
One of the balls is made of discover, and seeing it work doesn’t make me happy. This is why I am now working on making some changes to the formation, which will allow me to discover the metal.
I am working on it, while my clones are working on making my Armor, to make it more resistant to this energy.
Soon, it was evening, and I was still working. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
I do not plan to go inside today, but I will tomorrow. It is why my abode has already moved miles away from it.
I need to be away from the tide as much as possible. They come a few times every week, sometimes daily; they are unpredictable.
I want to avoid them, but I am also hoping they will come. My abode is the most powerful sensor, and I have and will be able to get better data than those spears.
I had even considered throwing it into the energy, but I will not take a risk without being fully sure.
Soon, it was nine, and I stopped working and opened my eyes.
I got up, freshened up, and walked into the kitchen. Out of the village is the only time I get to practice my culinary skills. So, I try to cook at least once a day.
I wish I could show my culinary talent openly. It would have made a lot of things easier.
I wouldn’t have needed to look at them cooking sneakily, and would have asked them to teach me. Here, they do not guard the skills, and I am sure, I’m sure, with the things I did for them, they would have taught.
A few had already offered me. Which I nearly accepted before stepping myself.
It is too risky. I cannot take such a risk, no matter how much I want to do it.
I sighed and took out the stuff before starting to cook. Within a minute, I was completely focused on it. I need to be fully focused.
The dish is tough, and given the standard, I want to cook it even tougher.
Nearly an hour and a half passed before I was finally finished.
"It smells heavenly," I said as I placed it on the table, and as always, other dishes cooked by my clone appeared beside it.
I took one more breath of the aroma before digging in.
"Mmmm," the sound came out as I took the first bite. It was delicious, more than I had expected. "Nearly there," I said as I gulped it down.
I had cooked better than I had thought. With a few more attempts, I will be able to master this technique.
I ate it till nothing remained and rested for a while before closing my eyes and entering my core.
I first studied the data; the balls had been in the past two hours before resuming work on the formation. It took a little past my usual time, but I finished working on detecting formation.
I want to test it. Instead, I got out of my core.
I practiced the two methods, as I have since left the village, before falling asleep in my own sweat, dreaming about the velvet energy that I would face tomorrow.
