Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 417: Edge Of The Fourth.
The mental attack from the sound made the increased consumption of energy by armaments become a massive disadvantage for the disciples of the Blood Skull.
Despite all the difficulties that everyone faced, some disciples still managed to withstand all of these difficulties and reached the edge of the fourth section.
Most of them were from the Blood Skull sect even though they now had a massive disadvantage. This was all because the disciples at the third mortal coil had more energy than usual.
But there were one or two people from other sects who were talented enough to reach edge of the fourth stage too. It wasn’t just the disciples of the Blood Skull sect who made this achievement.
If 100 people out of the total 1,000 in the ruins managed to reach the edge of the fourth stage, 90 of them would be from the Blood Skull sect. The remaining 10 places would be shared among the other four sects, of which 5 of them belong to the Black Bones sect.
Goldwyn was able to reach this edge. He survived to reach this stage mostly thanks to his special talent. He only needed to take one step forward to clear the trial. But there was an invisible wall standing in his way.
When struck, the wall will flicker into existence and show runes and diagrams on its surface. These runes and diagrams are mental exercises that needed to be solved before permission is given. Without this permission, the wall will continue to block the way.
The wall is the final obstacle. To clear it, one must be smart. They must be able to solve puzzles quickly.
The puzzles themselves aren’t the main problem. The puzzles just require some time. Even the dumbest person could solve them with luck and enough time.
The main problem was that they were to solve the puzzles while still battling with the gravity pressure, the heat wave, the wind, and the sound of mental attacks. So what they don’t have is time to solve the puzzles.
If they don’t solve the puzzles quickly, they will run out of energy quickly and be knocked down. Then they will have to start the trial again.
What’s worse is that those at the third mortal coil experienced more mental attacks at the fourth stage than normal. So they had even less time to complete the puzzle.
Arthur was able to reach this stage. If he were to be honest, it was easy for him to do so.
The different obstacles were indeed troublesome. But he was too strong for them to stress him too much. His body and mind were so strong that he didn’t have a problem strolling up the mountain.
He was so at ease that he didn’t need to use his armaments to reach the edge of the fourth section. All he needed was his raw power at 550 units.
The fact that he didn’t use his armament and spent very little time to climb the mountain meant that he didn’t expend much energy to reach the limit. So he still had a lot of energy left.
Unfortunately for him, no matter how much energy he has, it can’t compare to the energy reserves of those who have multiple life seeds.
This made him say to himself, "Serves them right for experiencing more mental attacks than normal."
When he reached the edge of the fourth foundation, he saw Goldwyn and Elder Calcetti. He didn’t distract them by greeting them. He too got busy trying to solve the puzzles.
All he needed to do to get started was to touch the invisible wall. He didn’t have a solidified divine sense like those at the third mortal coil, so he couldn’t project his mind and use it to make contact with the wall from a distance.
After touching the wall, information was transmitted from the wall to his mind. So the wall lit up before him, and a question unfolded on the wall before him.
According to what he heard from Jason, there were various kinds of questions to be asked. There were questions like, What is your name? Name five types of fire. Which of these options do you think is the best option to create an aphrodisiac pill? 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
No one knows the limit of the questions, and how many of them would be asked? No one has been able to even determine if they got the answers to the questions right or what their score is.
The wall only asks questions. The disciples answer. No one knows if there is a limit to the number of questions because no one has been able to reach the end.
Everyone who gets here eventually runs out of energy and has to go down the mountain on their own or be knocked down embarrassed. So Arthur was prepared to be here for a while.
The first question for Arthur was, "Do you want the inheritance of the Blood Pill Daoist?"
He replied quickly, "Yes."
Then he thought to himself, "Why would I be here if I didn’t want the inheritance?"
As he was thinking of this, he was also expecting the next question. But the next question didn’t come. Instead the wall lit up completely, and a white door appeared before him.
The sight shocked him. He stepped back quickly in shock and looked at the doorway in shock. Then he asked, "Have I passed?"
He wasn’t the only one who was shocked. Everyone around him was shocked too. No one had ever seen a door appear, so even if they didn’t know what the appearance of the door meant, it still made them shocked.
Just as Arthur was considering what to do, someone called out to him from behind. He looked back and saw that it was Elder Storm Hawk.
She had risen to the air just out of the range of the mountain. She wasn’t the only one flying. All the elders had levitated and had their eyes on him.
