Mr Alpha, I Am Not Your Typical Lady!-Chapter 57) Meeting him again.

"Our Alpha was defeated!". One of the werewolves exclaimed.

"Yeah, our alpha was defeated because she didn’t use any of her awakened powers. But, if any of us dares to fight her, we will be toasted. Did you not see that Beta Darren wasn’t able to take her down easily? And he is one of the strongest werewolves our pack have".

"You are right. Although our Alpha has been defeated today, she has great potential to become among the strongest werewolves who ever lived. After all, she only awakened her wolf a few weeks ago, and she’s already this strong".

I heard the werewolves saying to themselves.

Beta Darren removed his claws from my neck and I stood up. I looked at his left shoulder and saw blood gushing out of it.

He slashed my shoulders using his claws, but I brutally stabbed his left shoulder.

My attack was brutal compared to his.

’Elektra, I feel guilty. I took the sparring so seriously compared to Beta Darren. I know he went easy on me’. I mind - linked her.

’I am glad you know that, Clara. But, whenever we are in a battle, we should always fight in my wolf form. You do know that if we get killed in your human form, both of us are going to die, right?’.

’Tsk. Don’t be so selfless, Elektra. I understand what you are trying to do. But you clearly understand that if we get killed in your wolf form, you will die, but I will survive. If that ever happens, I will never be able to hear your voice again or ever be able to shift into your wolf form’.

’But that’s better’.

’No. Don’t ever say this to me again, Elektra. I am no coward. I prefer we both die together!’. I told her and did not mind how I raised my voice against her.

For the past two months, we have bonded with each other more than deeply. Maybe that’s because she was initially a part of my being.

I understand her worries. But at the same time, she should also understand mine.

When Beta Darren shifted into his human form, I did the same thing.

He was standing three to four feet away from me, so I went to him and offered him a handshake.

He took my hand and I said to him, "Nice fight, Beta Darren. Thanks for going easy on me".

Beta Darren smirked. He was still holding my hand as he leaned over my shoulder and whispered to me, "You know that’s not true, Alpha Anastasia. I did not go easy on you. You pushed me to use my full strength. So, I didn’t go easy on you. I bet if it were you and Damien who had fought, it would be a tie match".

After saying that to me, Beta Darren stopped leaning on my shoulder and also let go of my hand.

A second later, it was Beta Damien’s presence and aura I sensed. He had taken control of the body.

"Good job, Alpha". He said to me, before he turned to the werewolves who were watching us. His eyes darkened, "Aren’t all of you supposed to be busy training?".

The werewolves immediately returned to continue their training. That makes me remember. I hope that the Delta will be able to recruit many werewolves. If she can’t do it, I will have to do it myself.

"Beta Damien, I should take my leave. I want to look around the city to see how my werewolves are doing". I said to him.

Honestly, I didn’t want to return to the mansion now. The mansion is boring. Especially my office. I couldn’t forget the large amount of files I saw on my desk.

For crying out loud, I had just returned from the border. I am not in the mood to start reviewing boring files.

"I will follow you". He offered.

"No. You can stay here and train our future warriors. That’s more important than following me. For the past two months, the werewolves have been training on their own. I think they are slacking. You have to toughen them up". I said to him, and dipping my hand into one of my trousers’ pockets, I took out a portable container and gave it to him.

He collected it from my hand.

"What’s this?".

"One of the healing balms I made. I always bring it with me in case of an emergency. Have someone apply it for you in the place I stabbed Beta Darren". I said to him.

"What about you? You got injured too".

"Like I said, this is one of my healing balms. I will treat myself after I return to the mansion". I told him, and as I turned to leave, Fireball and Irving both came to me.

"Cats? Are they yours? When did you have time to get them?". Damien asked me, making me turn to him.

I saw that he wanted to approach me, but fireball and Irving quickly stood in his way and hissed at him with hostility while driving him away by swinging their paws at him.

"Fireball, Irving, that’s enough". I said to them, and they hissed at Beta Damien one last time before they came to me and rubbed their heads on my legs.

"Sorry about that, beta Damien. Anyway, see you later". I apologized to him before leaving the fighting stage, and fireball and Irving followed me and were in front of me.

After we left the training field, I said to fireball and Irving, "Bad kittens".

"Meow".

"Meow".

They meowed pitifully after hearing what I said.

’Fascinating. They can understand everything I say. That means, those movies I watched about dragons were true. Dragons are really intelligent and can understand things’. I thought.

The path we were walking along was a straight road that had other roads and other corners attached to it.

Don’t be so surprised that we are walking in the middle of the road. Werewolves rarely drive or make use of cars. The werewolves who manage to use cars are the ones who reside in human cities. They must be using cars because they want to fit in, or should I say, blend in with humans.

Though, surely not all of them.

I spotted a fish stall. Since Fireball and Irving were both in cats’ forms, they must like fish like cats do.

When I looked at fireball and Irving, I saw them walking slowly with their heads lowered to the ground.

’I didn’t know they were so sensitive’.

’Stop making me laugh, Clara. Have you forgotten that they only hatched today? They are kids, and yet, you hurt their feelings. They confronted Beta Damien because they thought he was dangerous. They were trying to protect you from him. Seriously, I am starting to think that I am the smart one’. Elektra scoffed at me as she mind - linked me.

Oh. I forgot. When I got injured by beta Darren, I heard their horrified cries. So they attacked Beta Damien because they thought he was going to hurt me?

I smiled. "I am sorry, fireball and Irving. Both of you are good kittens". I squatted and said to them.

They instantly turned to me and ran into my arms that were purposely stretched out to welcome them into my embrace.

I smiled again, but my smile faded away quickly. Nowadays, my smile is getting fainter.

I allowed Fireball and Irving to stand on their own after I made them stop embracing me. I haven’t stood up, and my eyes widened because of a familiar aura.

The aura which I believe belonged to the Lycan king!

Without thinking twice, I instantly stood up, but I slipped. I could easily prevent myself from falling, but when I was almost about to do that, someone grabbed me from behind and my body greeted the person by resting on the person’s broad chest and broad shoulders.

I froze when I sensed that the familiar aura and presence was coming from the person who embraced me.

I slowly lifted my head and saw his face.

’Oh my’. I thought as soon as I saw his face. He was handsome and beautiful.

His amber eyes were staring at me as if they were staring into my soul.

With his long black hair that grew past his shoulders. His pointed nose and his natural long eyelashes. His lips, although thin, formed something like a heart shape.

He was what fictional lovers call a perfect ML in a fantasy romance comic book.

But wait, he is the Lycan king!

Upon realising this, I pushed him away from me and stood a few feet away from him as I stared at his face.

’I know that this presence and aura belongs to the Lycan king. But, who does the presence and aura really belong to? Does it belong to the wolf or the human?’.
