Mr.CEO Looks Exactly the Same as My Son!-Chapter 908: Let’s Wait Until He Wakes Up
"What do you want to eat? I’ll go get it for you?"
Lan Shan thought for a moment, "I want something sour. I don’t know if it’s because I have a child now, but I particularly crave sour food."
"Alright, you go lie on the sofa and rest. I’ll go out and buy it for you." With that, she turned to walk toward the door.
As she passed by Beichen Rui, he suddenly reached out and grabbed her arm, "You stay here with her, I’ll go."
Ye Xinluo paused, glanced at Shanshan, then looked at Gong Shaoyu lying on the hospital bed, "Okay then, come back soon."
Beichen Rui left the ward, closing the door behind him. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Shanshan, what do you plan to do now?"
Now that Shaoyu also knows, the immediate priority should be to sit down and have a proper talk.
"I don’t know. I’ll wait until he wakes up to discuss it." She glanced in the direction of the hospital bed.
Initially, she didn’t plan to let Gong Shaoyu know that the child was still there. She thought about finding a place, having the child alone, but unexpectedly, this episode happened.
"Once Shaoyu wakes up, you two should have a good talk. After all, the child is innocent, don’t always think of the worst."
"Hmm." She nodded lightly, indicating she understood.
Gong Shaoyu woke up around eight in the evening. Ye Xinluo and Beichen Rui had already left the hospital, leaving only Lan Shan who was asleep on the sofa.
He glanced around, realizing he was in a hospital room. The overwhelming smell of disinfectant made him somewhat uncomfortable, furrowing his eyebrows, he braced himself on his arms and sat up.
His stomach was still feeling unwell, aching badly. He lifted the quilt and got out of bed, deliberately lightening his steps, walking over to the sofa to stand still, his gaze landing on the person sleeping there.
First her face, then moving slowly downward, finally resting on her still flat belly, his eyes gradually softening.
He stood quietly without waking Lan Shan, not knowing how long he stood there while a pang of pain struck his stomach, causing him to hold it and furrow his brow.
He let out a low groan of pain.
This sound startled Lan Shan awake, she opened her eyes and saw him standing beside her, then sat up, her gaze sweeping over Gong Shaoyu, "How long have you been awake?"
She didn’t appear too excited, her tone wasn’t cold either, she pointed to the cabinet by the hospital bed, "The doctor said to take your medicine once you wake up."
"I won’t take it, it’s too bitter."
Gong Shaoyu said, sitting directly on the sofa, his body sinking into it, turning his head to look at her with a half-teasing smile, "Why are you still here this late?"
"Then you should rest early, I’m going home."
With that, she grabbed her bag from the side and stood up to leave. But she had barely taken two steps when her wrist was caught, pulling her back.
"Take off your shoes."
Afraid she would bump into the sofa, Gong Shaoyu didn’t use much force. Once Lan Shan was seated on the sofa, he spoke.
Lan Shan didn’t listen. She shook off his hand, moved aside, unwilling to pay him attention.
"Take off your shoes."
"Why?" She looked at him with slight annoyance, her tone sharp.
Gong Shaoyu didn’t mind her attitude. He got up, went to her, crouched down, grabbed her left foot, and took off her shoe, then did the same for the right foot.
"Why wear high heels when pregnant, aren’t you tired?" he asked softly, but every word hit Lan Shan’s heart.
"Why do you care about me?" she muttered obstinately.
