Chapter 495: Chapter 494: Mr. Sterling Is Angry

Simon Sterling walked out of the main hall’s door. He lifted his head and saw the distant warm sun. Clearly, winter had passed, yet the wind felt chillingly cold.

Three months, it’s been three months since she went missing!

"Dad."

Felicity Sterling and Mrs. Sterling, who were waiting in the corridor, saw him exit and walked over.

Felicity spoke first, "I bought a painting for Grandpa, can I give it to him?"

While speaking, Felicity turned her head expectantly towards the main hall.

She had been to the old estate numerous times, but the doors of the main hall were forbidden for her to step past.

The old man doesn’t like her; Felicity understands that as a granddaughter, she doesn’t have the affection of the elder.

Mrs. Sterling taught her to be observant, so when the old man refused to see her, she dared not throw a tantrum. Instead, she cautiously watched Mr. Sterling.

"Give the painting to Butler Lowell."

Mrs. Sterling replied with a smile, taking over Felicity’s words. The old man didn’t like her and Felicity, so there was no need to ask for trouble.

"Okay!"

Mr. Sterling responded coolly, as he walked forward with Mrs. Sterling closely following behind.

Seeing the painting bought to please the old man unable to be given, Felicity felt somewhat upset, but she still followed Mrs. Sterling’s advice and went up with them.

"Does Big Brother really have an illegitimate daughter outside?"

As the three of them walked, June Kane first spoke up.

This matter surprised everyone in The Sterling Family.

It’s known in Imperial Capital’s high society that James Sterling is afraid of his wife.

First Mrs. Sterling gave birth to two sons; even if James didn’t manage The Sterling Corporation, her position in The Sterling Family remained secure.

Yet James dared to have a daughter outside secretly?

Mrs. Sterling mocked with a laugh. The two were sisters-in-law, polite but distant when meeting, actually not liking each other.

"I don’t know." Mr. Sterling replied indifferently. His thoughts were not on Mrs. Sterling, nor on the question she asked.

"I’m just curious."

Mrs. Sterling said, turning to hold Felicity’s hand, "Our Felicity is the only young lady of The Sterling Family..."

"You’re worried about it affecting Felicity’s position in The Sterling Family!"

Before June Kane could finish, Mr. Sterling’s cold voice rang out.

"How could that be?"

June Kane grinned, "Felicity is not just the young lady of The Sterling Family."

Felicity is also the young lady of The Ford Family.

For some unknown reason, Mrs. Sterling didn’t like this suddenly appearing Eldest Miss of The Sterling Family!

She very much disliked illegitimate daughters!

"Mom." Felicity took over the conversation scornfully, "Just an illegitimate daughter, nothing to be concerned about!"

Felicity had no particular feelings towards the sudden appearance of the Eldest Miss Sterling.

Although not favored on the grandfather’s side, Grandma liked her. Mr. Sterling spoiled her, not to mention she also had grandparents, uncles from The Ford Family.

"Felicity!"

As Felicity finished speaking, Mr. Sterling’s voice called out coldly.

Standing from behind, Felicity saw Mr. Sterling’s face tightened sideways; she rarely saw him angry, so seeing him like this, she was momentarily stunned.

"You and your mom go back first. I have something to do."

Mr. Sterling changed the subject and walked towards the other side of The Sterling Family’s old estate.

Watching Mr. Sterling leave in strides, Felicity asked Mrs. Sterling in confusion, "Mom, is Dad angry?"

The voice when Mr. Sterling called her was unusually icy; clearly he was angry, but turned away and restrained it.

"No!"

Mrs. Sterling withdrew her gaze from Mr. Sterling, lips curled with a light smile, "Let’s go back."

Even an illegitimate daughter of James could make him care so much!

If Serena Sullivan is truly recognized back, won’t it...
