MTL - 94 Diagon Alley-Chapter 6 Festival
Not many new members. Fred can't say that next year's captain is Wood, and he is preparing for next year's special training. If Professor McGonagall hadn't turned down his request for holiday training, the twins would have stayed at Hogwarts for the summer even this year.
"At least he's handsome, right?" Gwen commented while flipping through the notes, "I heard that Slytherin's captain next year is Flint, that's really a hindrance to watching."
Fred gave a puzzled look, "To you, the ability of the Quidditch team is actually whether the players are handsome?"
George raised his eyebrows and asked, "Wood is that big guy handsome?"
Gwen vaguely felt that this was not a good way to comfort them, but to change the subject and praise them for their demeanor in the final. Of course these rainbow farts are all learned from Katie.
After Slytherin won the House Cup for six consecutive years, Gwen felt that Professor McGonagall's face was darker. Fortunately, her transfiguration class was okay, and she did well in the final exam. Katie and Cormack are scolding God for injustice, and they only got A's in Potions. Gwen was surprised to find that Fred and George's grades were not bad. God knows they are either night tours or Quidditch every day. This year, they also made half-term inventions with themselves.
After saying goodbye to friends at Nine and Three Quarters Station, Gwen took Mr Ollivander's hand back to his home in Diagon Alley. This year the wand shop finally bought an owl, supposedly for holiday Gwen and classmate correspondence.
"Dear Gwen,
Today we secretly used magic at home behind our mother's back, apparently the Ministry of Magic did not find out. This makes the holiday even more enjoyable.
Our little brother Ron is also going to Hogwarts this year, and Merlin blesses him in Gryffindor. We were going to go to Mr. Ollivander to buy him a new wand before school started, but Charlie was working and he was going to Romania to study dragons and obviously he needed a new wand even more. So Ron had to use Charlie's old wand, and we couldn't accompany him to the store.
That's okay (in a different handwriting here) because he pesters us every day about Hogwarts. Yesterday we told him that the Sorting Ceremony was going to be a very damaging test, in which he successfully used one spell to go to Hufflepuff, three spells to Slytherin, five spells to Ravenclaw, and to go to Gryffindor. It would take at least three somersaults on the broom and three more spells. He was just practicing the spell to turn Scabbers yellow.
P.S. Ron loves the birthday present you gave us, two moving broomsticks. But can you tell me why George has an Irish player on his broom and mine doesn't? "
"Dear George and Fred,
Congratulations to Ron for his letter from the school, I was looking forward to seeing him pick his wand. Yes, yesterday Mr and Mrs Weasley took Charlie to choose a new wand, a mighty one. I thought Charlie was going to be on a professional Quidditch team after graduation, but Merlin, studying dragons is so cool. Garrick hooked up with him almost immediately, and there will be a lot more Dragon Heartstring wands in my store in the future. His old wand was nice too, you know it was Ollivander's after all. I haven't told Garrick yet, though, or he might get **** off with his beard, and he keeps insisting that wands are unique. I also found that Charlie's old wand was a bit damaged, and it seemed like I could see the unicorn hair core. If you don't mind, maybe I can help Ron fix it after school starts. Garrick and I learned something new about wands this holiday season.
Besides, you've been so mean to Ron, I'm going to tell him you're lying to him when school starts. The sorting ceremony is not so complicated at all. The freshmen only need to deal with a troll. If they can be quiet for a while, they can enter the Hufflepuff, and teach it to dance. It must be Ravenclaw, and can cheat the club from its hand. Going to Slytherin, the proud Gryffindor who beat the trolls in arm wrestling. I think it's common sense and Ron won't be deceived by your clumsy lies. Please tell him not to worry, only three freshmen were sent home for treatment last year, and if everything goes well, Ron will be able to enroll with them this year.
P.S. Fred, I think your Quidditch player may have been lost on the road, sorry. "
"Dear Gwen,
Ron read your letter and now wrestles with Dad every day. Dad enjoyed the parent-child moment, and we don't know if we should tell him that Ron thought he was a troll-like existence in the family.
P.S. Fred was looking for the lost Quidditch in my backyard when he asked me to pass on a question: 'What do you think are the chances of his Irish team going to the Burrow' . Also, I love this gift. "
"Dear George,
I almost feel sorry for Ron and Mr. Weasley. Diagon Alley has been crowded recently, and when it's time for shopping before school starts, I have to help Garrick with the shop, so I may not have time to write.
P.S. We all know that this Quidditch villain can't be found, let Fred give up. "
The Boy Who Lived
At the end of July, Harry Potter, the boy who survived, finally came to buy his school supplies. Almost as soon as the boy stepped into the Leaky Cauldron, news of his presence spread throughout Diagon Alley.
Gwen found him when he was standing alone in the shop, looking nervously.
"Good afternoon." She emerged from under the counter, startling the boy.
"Hello." He greeted nervously.
Mr. Ollivander slid the ladder and stuck his head out. "Oh, yes," said the old man, "yes, yes, I know I'll see you soon, Harry Potter. It was like yesterday when your mother came here to buy her first wand. Ten and a quarter inches long, made of wicker, swishing, and a good wand for magic. Your father was different, he liked mahogany wands. Eleven inches long, Flexible, stronger, and best for Transfiguration. I say your father likes it—actually, of course, the wand chooses it for the wizard."
Then little Harry was rigidly measured by Mr. Ollivander and tried a few wands that were very inappropriate. Gwen noticed that although the boy didn't seem to know much about magic, his abilities were clearly outstanding. After all, there aren't many wizards who can mess up Ollivander's shop while trying their wands.
In the end he was selected by an eleven inch, holly wood, phoenix feather wand. Ollivander was amazed at first, and then said a bunch of strange things to the little boy. Gwen felt that he was clearly frightened, so he took the initiative to help get the little boy out of the house.
"Nothing to be nervous about, Mr. Potter." Gwen bowed and opened the door for Harry to go first. "I only had my first wand last year, and Garrick said a lot of weird things like that, but we're wizards. Strangeness is our specialty, isn't it?"
"So you also go to Hogwarts? Miss Ollivander." The boy couldn't help asking after thanking him politely.
"Yes, I'm just a year older than you. Hogwarts is a great school, and I think you'll like it."
"But I don't know anything about magic, I mean, everyone thinks I'm special, and so does Mr. Ollivander."
"Don't worry, I don't know any spells until I go to school. And I say, if you know the Weasley brothers in 3rd grade, they are the boys who survived, from The professor and Filch's men escaped. I think Hagrid is looking for you, goodbye, Mr Potter." Gwen waved him goodbye.
Back in the store, Gwen found her mysterious grandfather sitting at the table for the first time writing a letter with a sullen face. Every word, but also careful not to let Gwen see. In the end Gwen found out before the owl flew away that it was a letter to Hogwarts, which she guessed might have something to do with the great Mr Potter.
"Gwen, Gwen," Mr. Ollivander called her back and checked her wand, "be careful, Gwen. I think we can see It is the dawn of hope, but it is always dark before dawn."
Gwen came to King's Cross a little early this year, and when she got on the train, there was almost no one, so she hurriedly occupied a clean box for herself and Katie. After a while, he saw four Weasleys, big and small, enter the station. After George and Fred helped the children carry their luggage, he saw Gwen with sharp eyes, and immediately left his brother and strode across with long legs. into the box.
"Sorry Ron, first-year students should make more friends, and this box is full."
"Although you have an older brother named Percy, he has to sit in the 'two compartments reserved for prefects'."
The two sang and pushed Ron off the shoulders.
Fred came back and sighed, leaning back in his chair, "Long time no see Gwen. George and I had a miserable vacation after we didn't communicate."
Gwen looked at the twins curiously, motioning them to say something unfortunate to make her happy.
"Percy said for a whole summer that he was elected prefect of Gryffindor." George covered his face with his hands, as if he did not want to recall the miserable life of these months.
"That's terrible, now you not only have to face Filch, but also be careful of your prefect brother." Gwen covered his mouth with his small hand and giggled again.
"We still have to take care of Ron Kid..." George sighed.
"George just promised Ginny
