MTL - Harry Potter and the Badger Who Can’t Magic-Chapter 52 tell the truth
"I want to talk to you about Professor Quirrell."
Hearing Auston's words, Snape's hand when pouring the potion visibly shook, and the potion dripped down the glass bottle onto the table.
"Professor Quirrell? What do you want to talk about him? His ridiculous scarf?"
Snape pretended to be calm, without looking up, and poured his potion.
"Talk about... him and what's under the trapdoor on the fourth floor." Auston took two steps closer to him and said tentatively.
Snap! Snape slapped the freshly filled potion on the table.
He took two quick steps around the table, grabbed Auston by the collar, lifted him slightly, and pressed him against the door.
"How do you know what's under the trapdoor!" he growled, his face grim.
"Speak! What else do you know!"
Auston was bruised by Talle's veins and couldn't say a word. He slapped Snape's hand around his throat hard.
Snape's sharp eyes stared at him, trying to see the answer in Auston's dark eyes, and he let go until Auston was having trouble breathing.
Auston landed on his feet, his face flushed red, and he kept coughing while hunched over.
Snape was a little impatient. He walked to the glass cabinet containing the potion, took out a small purple vial, and poured the contents into Auston's mouth.
The cool potion slid down Auston's throat, making him feel a lot more comfortable.
"I know a lot of things," he said hoarsely, "including the thing about him putting the troll in, and the thing about casting a spell on Harry's broom at the Quidditch match."
"And..." he said hesitantly
"He... has another face behind his head."
Auston had never seen Snape make such an expression.
He opened his mouth in astonishment and closed his chin up twice without success.
"You...you mean he...he has another face behind his head!" Snape said in a trembling voice.
Auston nodded
"Professor Quidditch was sitting right in front of me at the last Quidditch match. His big scarf wasn't wrapped properly. I saw an eye on the back of his head, so I took a closer look. I found one that looked like a snake's head. face!" With a horrified expression on his face, he lied again seriously...
Snape obviously hasn't recovered from the shock, his mouth can't be fully closed yet.
Auston went on to say
"Professor Dumbledore told us to go back to the lounge when the troll came in. I smelled a smell of stinky socks when I passed Professor Quirrell, and I thought it was strange at the time, he should have smelled of garlic. "
"Later, you know, I killed the troll, and although I almost gave up half my life, I finally figured out where the stench on Professor Quirrell came from."
Snape listened to his words, looked up at him, and he suddenly understood something.
"So, after my robe was burned, did you stop him from casting a spell on Potter's broom?"
Auston pursed his lips and nodded.
"Yes, I saw you chanting a spell," he said
"After your robe caught fire, Harry's broom shook more violently, and I guessed that you were reciting an anti-curse."
"And Professor Quirrell, who was in front of me, was still muttering something, so I took a risk and patted him. After interrupting him, Harry's broom stopped unexpectedly."
"But I guess because of this, he should have been eyeing me." A worried look appeared on Auston's face.
"So why are you telling me this?" Snape looked at him questioningly.
Auston was a little embarrassed
"I thought maybe I could get protection from you," he said.
Snape watched him silent for a long time.
"Just let me protect you," he said, suddenly thinking of a plan
"But...you have to help me!"
broken! Auston thought to himself, he would have been better off guarding Quirrell. Now put myself in it.
"You..." he asked tentatively, "what do you need me to help you with?"
"He asked me to meet in the Forbidden Forest the night after tomorrow, and I want you to come with me quietly and cooperate with me to catch him!" Snape's eyes were filled with ferocity.
Auston panicked for a while, this is to let him pick the big boss!
Although he could understand Snape's hatred for the mysterious man, Auston still had to think carefully about whether it was worth it if he wanted to help him regardless of his own safety.
"This...I...how can I catch him?" he asked.
"Come here the next morning, and I'll give you something." Snape said
"When the time comes, you will follow me quietly on your broom. When I give you a signal, you can just follow the plan."
"You go back first"
He sat back behind the table, raised his head and stroked his face, feeling a little tired.
Auston knew that he also needed time to digest this matter.
He didn't stay any longer, just opened the door and walked out.
Auston returned to his dormitory and fell on the bed without washing. He also needed time to digest the conversation just now.
What he didn't know was that shortly after he left, Snape sat in the chair for a while, then got up, went out the door, and went straight to the eighth floor.
He came to a stone monster at the end of the corridor on the eighth floor~www.novelbuddy.com~ iced lemon juice. ' he said to the Stone Monster.
The stone monster jumped aside, and the wall behind it cracked in half, revealing a movable spiral staircase behind it. He went up, and as the stairs went round and round, higher and higher, he finally came to the door of a room with a brass knocker.
He pushed open the door and walked straight in.
"Dumbledore, the plan is about to end," he said to the white-bearded old man sitting behind the desk. "Not only Quirrell is going to steal the stone, but the man himself."
Dumbledore stopped his hand reaching into the candy box, his bright eyes watching Snape through the half-moon lenses, waiting for him to speak.
Snape was impatient as he tapped on Dumbledore's desk.
"I can't let Harry Potter take risks anymore!"
Dumbledore took out a milk candy from another box, opened the candy wrapper, put it in his mouth, and said casually.
"Didn't you protect him all the time?"
"It's different! If it was just Quirrell, of course I could protect Harry from him. But..." His tone was trembling.
"But, you know, that person has so much profound black magic. Although he is not as good as before, we still can't relax!"
"How did you know that person was here?" Dumbledore raised his head and looked at him with inquiring eyes.
He leaves Dumbledore's desk
"That Hufflepuff Squib you recruited told me."
"Oh?" Dumbledore looked very interested
"Mr. Brown told you? That's probably true." He smiled and nodded.
"I've asked him to help me catch Quirrell first, so I don't have any trouble," Snape said.
