  Chapter 2679 "Beast Alliance" (7)

   "Ke La."

In the brief silence, a slight noise caught everyone's attention. Everyone looked around, trying to find the place where the sound came from.

   "What's that sound?" Dominique asked.

Georgiana didn't know whether to say it, because it sounded like the sound of an egg hatching.

   Then there was another sound.

"over there!"

A guard pointed to a Sphinx sculpture and said that everyone's eyes were focused on it.

This sphinx is very well carved. It looks like a prostrate lion with a male face. Unfortunately, there is a crack from the right face to the chest, which destroys the overall beauty.

"How could there be a crack?" St. Tyrrell said.

   "Not before?" Georgiana asked.

Before St. Tyrrell could reply, there was another crisp sound, the crack widened, and a spiderweb-like crack spread all over the Sphinx's right face, and then a small stone fell down, and everyone saw it One closed eye.

She felt that everyone present was holding their breath.

After two seconds of silence, the closed eye opened. The color of the eyeball reminded Georgiana of the blue flame of the Goblet of Fire.

Immediately afterwards, the prostrate Sphinx "stands up", as if it has been covered with mud and dried to form a "rock". After it wakes up, as the lion shakes its mane, these "Stones" and dust were flying everywhere.

Then, it was already strong and twice the size of an ordinary sphinx, standing on the booth, looking down at the humans on the ground, and its blue eyes swept over everyone as if searching for something.

"Don't worry!" Saint-Tirrell exclaimed, "It won't eat people."

   "What?" Aston Martin asked.

"If you can't answer the question of the female sphinx, you will be eaten, which is the male." Saint-Tirrell said "The female sphinx represents the punishment of the gods, and the male sphinx represents... "

   "Roar~~~~~"

The newly awakened male Sphinx let out a roar.

"Represents benevolence and justice." St. Tirell said without confidence.

   "Really?" Figore asked.

As soon as she finished speaking, the male sphinx jumped off the platform and landed on the ground.

Because it has a human face, it can speak human words, but unfortunately no one can understand what he said.

It may be that it sensed the blankness of human expressions, so it changed a language.

   "...who... defiled..." Georgiana said.

   "What?" Dominique asked.

"He's speaking Greek, who knows Greek?" Georgiana asked.

  Everyone looks at her.

"I just started to learn, only a little bit!" She said in frustration.

At this time, the Sphinx noticed this little commotion, and it walked in front of Georgiana.

When it got closer, Georgiana saw how huge it was, the sphinx sniffed at her, and then said.

"I smell snake (serpent), what did you do?"

"I didn't do anything!" Georgiana said immediately.

   "Lie!" said the Sphinx angrily.

Georgiana took a step back in fright, and Figo immediately rushed in front of her, blocking the Sphinx.

Serpent and snake both refer to snakes. The difference is that serpent often refers to the snake that tempted Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit in the Bible, as well as a huge snake like a monster, or a cunning person.

"You mean the basilisk?" Georgiana asked immediately.

"No!" Sphinx roared, "It's something else, you fouled!"

   Then it looked at Brick.

   "And you, carry something unclean."

Georgiana thought for a while, and touched the back of her neck.

"You mean, I violated a taboo?" Georgiana asked.

"Creation must not violate the precepts." Sphinx said, "I can smell it, but not you."

"What is it saying?" Brick asked.

"It is telling us the law of magic (law of magic)." Georgiana said, "Someone violated it, left traces on me, and was smelled by it."

"Wow." Brick sighed, "I can't see that you are such a person."

"I said it, not me!" Georgiana argued.

"Who else could it be?" Brick asked.

  She thought of someone.

"Tom Riddle." She looked at the sphinx and whispered. "He made a Horcrux and once possessed me."

The Sphinx looked into her eyes as if he could see into her soul.

"Where is he?" asked the Sphinx.

   "Another world," replied Georgiana.

"Do you know which taboo he violated?" asked the Sphinx.

"Our understanding may be different from that of Egypt. He violated the first article of Wofulin's law and tampered with the deepest mysteries at will, the source of living things and the essence of self." Georgiana replied.

"Has he been punished?" asked the Sphinx.

"I don't know, I only know that most of his horcruxes were destroyed by the poison of the basilisk, and the basilisk was the first one created by Hypor."

"That is to say, the Creator devoured the Lord?" Sphinx said.

   Georgiana never thought of that.

After all, the Horcrux is also Hypor's creation, although it carries Hypor's soul.

"It wasn't the basilisk's own will." She said somewhat vaguely, "The basilisk died, its fangs were pulled out, and it destroyed the Horcrux with its fangs."

"What are you talking about?" Sphinx asked confused.

Georgianna is not sure whether the Greek word order she just said is correct, but she has tried her best.

"You can communicate with me directly." Sphinx said.

"You mean...using psychic magic?" Georgiana asked.

Sphinx remained silent, as if acquiescing.

"How about this, I will give you the memory, and you can read it yourself." Georgiana said, taking out the wand from the sleeve of the lady's gauntlet.

"Can someone explain what's going on?" Leon Cavallo asked.

"Yes, can you explain your origin, sir?" Georgiana asked the Sphinx.

"That's why I ask you to communicate directly with me," said the Sphinx.

"Can you find someone who speaks Greek...Wait, where's Ferri?" Georgiana asked aloud.

  No one spoke.

"I think she might be in the castle." Figore said.

"What? Go and find her." Georgiana said anxiously.

   Figoer was about to leave.

"No need." Cavallo said, "She is not where you said."

Georgiana and Figore both looked at him.

"The girl you mentioned is on her way to Genoa as a guest," Cavallo said.

"You mean, you kidnapped her?" Georgiana asked.

Cavallo sighed "She refused to hand over the contract she kept."

Georgiana was worried about something else.

"Are you going to sell her?"

"No, no, no, absolutely no such intention." Dominique said quickly.

"Then how did you take her to Genoa?" Georgiana asked angrily.

"Just to scare her, you haven't sent Miss Campini to the port." Cavallo said.

   Georgiana laughed angrily.

"What conditions must be met before you eat them?" she asked in Greek.

Sphinx and Georgiana looked at the humans in front of them together.

They automatically took a step back, like she too had a sphinx-like tail dangling behind her.
