MTL - I Was an Abbot in Ancient Times-Chapter 7
[Congratulations, you have successfully passed the novice stage, the system has been upgraded to level 2, and the interface has been updated, come and take a look! 】
Lin Zhao opened the interface, and the changes were great.
There are three patterns in the upper left corner respectively.
A yellow copper coin, a censer and a golden trumpet.
Respectively represent 【Money】, 【Incense】 and 【Prestige】. Detailed values follow.
The bottom row is [Temple Construction] [Mission Achievement] [Warehouse]
Click on [Temple Construction], and there is a list of unlocked and pending unlocked building facilities.
The ones that have been unlocked include the Temple of the Heavenly King, the Monk’s House, the Farmland, and the House One.
The descriptions of the above unlocked building facilities are,
Tianwang Hall, the first hall in the temple, enshrines the statue of Mi in the center of the hall, and enshrines the statues of the four heavenly kings on the left and right.
Look at [Mission Achievement] again, click on it and find that there are two tabs: [Achievement] and [Daily].
[Daily] There are 3 assignments for farming, and the current display progress is 1/3, in progress.
Fertilization just now is counted as one time of planting.
【Achievements】There is currently a cumulative number of pilgrims coming and going, and the progress displayed is 50/200. There is a gift box behind the progress bar, and rewards will be obtained for achieving achievements.
The warehouse needs no introduction, it stores items.
Lin Zhao paid attention to the distribution of the entire main interface, the temple building map.
The above shows the original appearance of the entire Qingquan Temple.
Black tiles and red walls, temple gates, lotus ponds, Tianwang hall, left backyard, huts, monks' dormitories, and a large unrepaired dilapidated hall and courtyard.
Click on the Temple of Heavenly Kings, and you can clearly see all the things and people inside.
In front of the stone statue of Maitreya is an offering table, in front of which there are three broken yellow futons on the ground, and the little monk Bu Er is placing offering cakes.
It's like watching real-time monitoring without blind spots, Lin Zhao can know everything that happens in the temple anytime and anywhere.
Click on Sengliao again, and find two icons at the bottom of the scene, which say [Employees] and [Construction] respectively.
[Employees] Open the personal information and attributes of all monks in the temple.
[Construction] Opening is all the facilities needed by the monk's dormitory, and there are also different levels, which are no different from the previous facilities.
Lin Zhao clicked back to the Hall of Heavenly Kings, and found that there was also a construction icon in the lower right corner.
Click to open it, and the decorations inside are all needed for the Temple of Heavenly Kings, and the decorations needed for the Sengliao will not appear here.
Then come to the farmland, which clearly shows the growth time required for various crops, as well as a countdown.
A bubble box popped out of the cucumber that was planted before, marked [Can be harvested].
This is the same as the **** farm that Lin Zhao used to play in primary school!
Click on an empty field in the scene again, and a message box will pop up.
[secondary farmland
Farmland output: 3, upgrade to the next level of base output +1
Free manpower in the temple: 0
Select the crops you want to grow: [Potatoes] [Cucumbers] [White radish] [Chinese cabbage] [To be unlocked] [To be unlocked]...]
Lin Zhao was a little curious about the [upgrade farmland], clicked it, and a red box popped up.
[Do you want to spend 5 taels of silver to upgrade to the next level? Requires an incense value of 150. ]
Lin Zhao clicked x, and there is no need to upgrade for now.
Then click on the hut where the laymen stayed, and the scene inside is also clear, and there is also a building in the lower right corner.
The scholar was still reviewing his homework inside, but Lin Zhao had no interest in prying into other people's private lives, so he retreated.
I plan to read it after the scholar leaves.
—
After understanding everything, Lin Zhao thought about it, and went to harvest the grown cucumbers, which would be used for the Obon Festival two days later.
After harvesting cucumbers, the progress of the daily task - assigning to plant 3 times has become 2/3.
Lin Zhao raised his eyebrows. It seems that there is no need to sow seeds every day, just watering, fertilizing and picking can complete the daily tasks.
After moving a basket of cucumbers to the small warehouse next to the kitchen, Lin Zhao found Bu Er and Shan Tong to discuss what to do about the Obon Festival the day after tomorrow.
Although their temples are a little poor and less manned now, this major Buddhist festival must be well organized.
"Yulan" means hanging upside down, and hanging upside down describes the shape of misfortune, and basin refers to a vessel for offerings. Buddhism believes that offering this tool can save the upside-down suffering of deceased parents and relatives. ①
There is also a story about this festival that a disciple of Sakyamuni "Mulian saves his mother".
On the day of the Obon Festival, basins will be filled with all kinds of flavors and five fruits, and offered to the Buddha and monks to save the suffering beings in hell. ②
The entire Obon ceremony is as follows:
The first is to circumambulate the altar, that is, to recite the "Ullambana Sutra". Firstly, the abbot presides over the ceremony of circumambulating the altar, chanting scriptures, and sprinkling the net, and the public accompany them to circumambulate and recite the "Ullambana Sutra" three times. ③
Then kneel down and read the congratulatory speech with the abbot, wishing all karmic relatives to be saved together; after the congratulatory speech, the crowd stood up, listened to Wei Na recite the Buddha's name, and knelt down to worship with the sound of the chime. ④
The second item is the offering of orchid pots. The monks re-entered the altar, and after paying homage to the Buddha three times, the abbot held incense, Wei Na held the "offer and praise", and the crowd sang together. Then, read and recite the scriptures again and again, and explain the purpose of the basin offering, express your heart, and bow to the Buddha from time to time. Finally, recite a passage of dedication, and the ceremony of offering orchid pots is over. ⑤
The last ritual is that the monks are fed. After the offering is completed, the audience gathers together the donations from Tanyue (believers), and distributes them equally whether they are visitors or monks of the temple. After accepting the distribution, recite a prayer together, and then return to the dormitory with their bowls in their hands. The entire Obon ceremony is over. ⑥
The three of Lin Zhao discussed and decided to prepare cucumbers, longan and pears for vegetables and fruits, steamed buns and muffins for cakes, winter melon sticks for sugar, and a jar of rice wine.
The "Vina" who presents the dharma utensils for offerings and praises is in charge of Bu Er, and the "Yue Zhong" who collects the pots for distribution is made by Shan Tong.
There are still few longan, pears, wax gourd sticks and rice wine in the pot offerings, and Lin Zhao and the others are going to the county town.
The scholar was very obsessed with reading during this time, sitting on the simple desk rewarded by the system every day, reluctant to leave the table, and refused when Lin Zhao invited him to go to the county town to relax.
The county seat is not as large as modern times, but it is still clean and tidy. Judging from the planning of shops and street vendors, we know that there is a county magistrate who pays great attention to the city's appearance.
Three bald-headed monks from Lin Zhaobuer Shantong appeared on the street, and the blue and white monk clothes were particularly conspicuous among the gray and brown clothes.
They are currently picking longan in front of a fruit stand.
Zhou Yuanwai also brought his servants to buy incense and candle offerings for the Hungry Ghost Festival two days later.
Seeing them from a distance, they warmly greeted them.
"Abbot, how are you two masters?"
Since the last time the old lady ate vegetables to defecate, Zhou Yuanwai looked at them no longer from the monks in the wild temple, but from the eminent monks from the Lingshi Temple.
Using his long-sleeved social skills, he greeted Lin Zhao and the others warmly.
Hearing that they were going to hold the Obon Festival, I immediately said that I would also participate at that time.
Lin Zhao smiled politely at him.
At first, he thought that he would bring his family with him at most, but on the day of the Obon Festival, he found out that Zhou Yuanwai had brought all his social connections from the entire county, as well as the county magistrate at the top of the pyramid of connections.
Because of Zhou Yuanwai's efforts, originally there was only one altar table in the hall, but later it developed into more than a dozen tables.
The people who came here had vaguely heard that this temple was a bit spiritual, and after Zhou Yuanwai's enthusiastic publicity, they all planned to come to participate in the Buddhist festival, to get good luck.
By the way, let's see if I can bring back some vegetable and fruit bowl offerings from the temple, and bring them back to the elders at home.
They have all heard of the extraordinary fruits and vegetables in temples.
When Shantong distributed the offerings, they all wished that they could replace that hand and pick all the fruits and vegetables from Qingquan Temple into their arms.
At the end of the ceremony, Zhou Yuanwai introduced the abbot for the county magistrate.
Seeing the county magistrate's pale and haggard expression, Lin Zhao somewhat guessed the purpose of the magistrate's visit.
"Recently, I can't sleep well at night. I dreamed that my deceased father threw shoes at me. I had a headache for several days. I wonder if the abbot has a solution?"
After listening to the county magistrate's narration, Lin Zhao felt numb in his heart, but still had an indifferent smile on his face:
"The benefactor doesn't have to worry. After the ceremony just now, your father must be able to receive your sincerity."
"Yes, abbot, when I knelt down and recited scriptures just now, I felt much lighter in my mind, but..."
It's just that I'm afraid that I'll dream again after I go back. He hasn't done much business work these days because of his headache.
Lin Zhao thought in his heart that it was just a psychological effect. During the Ghost Festival, he remembered that the old man had a dream at night.
But he continued to smile lightly on his face, quietly clicked on the system interface, bought a pot of white flowers in an earthen pot, and dragged and placed it behind the statue of Maitreya.
"If the benefactor is worried that he will not be able to sleep peacefully after returning home, I will give you a potted plant illuminated by Buddha's light for a month."
The county magistrate had a happy face when he heard the words, and Lin Zhao carried out the earthen jar of white flowers from behind the Buddha statue.
The county magistrate took over the potted plants and hurried back to deal with official business, so he left in a hurry.
When he left, he took out a bulging purse from his pocket and threw it into the merit box.
Seeing the county magistrate's brisk pace, Lin Zhao smiled without saying a word, turned around and saw a face with a flattering smile.
Zhou Yuanwai: "Abbot, I haven't slept very well recently..."
The corner of Lin Zhao's mouth twitched subtly and invisibly.
However, I also thought about giving him a gift before, as a thank you for the one hundred taels of incense money. Since I want this earthen jar of white flowers so much, I should buy one as a gift for him.
Zhou Yuanwai left happily holding the earthen pot with white flowers.
Lin Zhao opened the item introduction.
[Although it is a flower on the side of the road, it also looks respectful].
I muttered in my heart, it's nothing special, as for one or two who look like treasures?
