MTL - Jade Without Fragrance-Chapter 1 wedge
Chapter 1 Wedges
It was late at night, and Changchun Street was deserted. Only the red lanterns hanging from the eaves of some shops gave off a faint glow, adding a warm color to the snow on the roofs and roadsides.
Wen Hao, dressed in black, walked lightly on the snow-covered bluestone road, stopped and walked, looked around carefully, and entered an alley next to the powder shop.
The alley is long and narrow, and it is so quiet that it is heart palpitating.
Wen Hao stopped in front of a house and knocked lightly on the door.
The door was knocked and pulled open.
The woman in the door looked eager, grabbed Wen Hao's wrist and pulled her in.
As soon as she entered the room, the woman knelt on Wen Hao's body and cried bitterly, "Second girl, maid never expected you to be alive!"
Wen Hao's eyelashes trembled lightly, patted the woman's shoulder lightly, and took out a folded piece of paper from his sleeve and handed it over.
The woman got up, took the paper with trembling hands, opened it and leaned against the candlelight to read the words on the paper: Lianxiang, how did my eldest sister die?
Lianxiang saw this sentence, tears welled up again: "Second girl, our girl she-"
Wen Hao bit his lip and suppressed the eagerness in his heart, and poked the question with his slender fingers.
Everyone in this circle in the capital knew that the second girl of the Wen family in the Shi Lang's house was born a mute.
Lianxiang hurriedly wiped her tears and spoke.
"That day, the uncle took the girl out and didn't come back until the evening. The girl didn't step out of the room when she entered the inner room. At night, Xiao He woke up and found that the girl had committed suicide by hanging from the beam... During the day, Xiao He accompanied the girl out. The maid asked her what was going on, Xiao He said—"
Wen Hao stared at Lianxiang, waiting for her to speak.
Lianxiang's face was snow-white, she took a deep breath, and spit out the following words with difficulty: "Xiao He said... The girl may have been taken lightly by other men..."
Wen Hao supported the table with both hands, and it took a while to suppress the overwhelming anger, pointing to the paper and then to his own mouth.
Lianxiang understands, but there is no pen and paper at home, so she has an idea to get a box of lip gloss.
Wen Hao took the lip gloss with his fingertips and wrote directly on the table: "Who?"
Lian Xiang shook her head, her voice choked: "Xiao He doesn't know who he is, and he didn't see the person's face, but from the uncle's words and demeanor, he felt that the person's identity was unusual... After the news of the girl's suicide spread, Xiao He had not yet dawned. He died. The maid knew that Xiaohe was silenced, and escaped from the uncle's house while taking advantage of the chaos, and since then has been incognito to make a living on Changchun Street..."
Wenhao's chest rose and fell, anger burning in his chest.
Three years ago, she only escaped from the tiger's mouth in Wen Mansion when she noticed the filthy plans of her father and stepmother. She did not expect that the elder sister who had left the cabinet had experienced such a similar experience to her.
"By the way, Er girl, three years ago, Wen's house came to report, didn't it say that you passed away, how did you—"
Wen Hao dipped in lip grease and continued to write: "Someone hurt me, I ran away..."
Lianxiang covered her face and wept: "The girl was pregnant at the time. After receiving the letter, she couldn't go back. Later, she gave birth to a miscarriage. At first, my uncle was considerate, but after a long time, she became cold to the girl..."
Wen Hao listened to Lianxiang without moving, until the candlestick on the table was filled with tears.
"Second girl, where are you going? Why don't you stay with the maid and let the maid serve you in the future." Lian Xiang chased to the gate of the courtyard.
Wen Hao shook his head, because he couldn't speak or explain, he gently pushed the door and walked out.
The cold wind blows, mixed with fine snow particles.
It started to snow again.
She turned back and waved her hand, motioning Lianxiang to close the door and go back to the house, and quickly left the alley.
The wind was stronger outside the alley, and the blow hurts like a knife on the cheek. Wen Hao didn't notice it, and walked quickly in one direction.
The wind whistled in her ears, and the extreme coldness numbed people's perception. When she tried her best to avoid it, the flying knife had already sunk into her back.
Wen Hao hurriedly turned his head and glanced.
In the snowstorm, people with blurred faces gradually approached.
Wen Hao didn't care to look carefully, and staggered forward.
She fled back to the capital, there are too many things to do, she must not die here.
But then, Wen Hao stopped suddenly.
A man covered in a black scarf came towards him. Under the snow light, the long knife in his hand shone with a cold light.
There is a wolf in front and a tiger in the back.
Wen Hao took a step back, stopped again, raised his dagger and stabbed the masked man.
Since there is no escape, it is enough to take one away.
Surrounded by the smell of blood, she fell into an embrace.
The masked man hugged Wen Hao tightly and fell to the ground, a flying knife sank into his back.
Wen Hao opened his mouth, his thoughts froze for a moment.
The person who was clearly flanking her back and forth, why did she block the knife for her?
But she didn't have time to figure it out.
When the masked man was pulling her hard to get up, the people behind her had already approached.
The long sword fell, stabbed into the back of the masked man's heart, and then into Wen Hao's heart.
The blood spreads in the snow, like big red plums blooming, and it is impossible to tell who it is.
Wen Hao opened his eyes with all his strength, trying to see the person who fell on him.
He was covered with a black scarf, only one eye exposed.
That is a pair of beautiful eyes.
Who are you…
Before falling into the darkness, Wen Hao's lips twitched as he silently spit out the question.
I don't know where there is a noise coming, getting closer and closer.
The snowflakes got bigger and soon fell over the two people who were quietly lying in a pool of blood in the snow.
See you all again. The new book is still a lighthearted and cheerful little story. I hope I am happy to write it and that everyone will be happy to read it. Babies who feel unsatisfactory can read other books. This is a recreational reading. The most important thing is to have a good mood. So let's start a good story.
