MTL - Mermaid Feeding Rules-Chapter 9
Eureka Institute minus five floors.
Oriel walked into a laboratory according to the message on the communicator.
"What's the matter with me?"
"My boss has done what he promised, now it's your turn to fulfill your promise."
A flash of ecstasy flashed in Olier's eyes, and he pretended to show a shocked expression: "Chris he..."
The young man across from him spoke with a sarcastic tone: "Put away your fake appearance. I'm not a group of people in the institute who don't know anything. You asked for this yourself." He deliberately increased his tone in the second half.
Aurier withdrew the regret on his face, showed his joy without concealment, and thanked the young man: "Thanks to you for taking action..."
The young man interrupted him: "Thanks is unnecessary, it's just a fair deal."
He raised his eyebrows: "As long as you don't forget your promise."
"of course not!"
Oriel said, "As long as I can be the head of the research institute, the medicines in the research institute will be delivered there on time!"
"That's not what we were dealing with at the time."
The young man frowned: "My boss is not trying to get these things that you can get with money." He saw something from the reluctance that leaked from Olier's eyes, "You want to break the contract?"
The biggest obstacle in front of him has been removed, and Olier is naturally reluctant to take risks now.
Without directly rejecting it, Oriel was embarrassed: "It's too obvious to arrange people in the institute, and Bunir doesn't like the people below to be twisted together."
The current head of the Morrison family, Bunier, always felt that the unity of his subordinates would affect his status. In order to reduce Chris' influence in the institute, he supported Oriel, who was at odds with Chris.
Oriel is naturally aware of the investor's temper, and it is one reason why he doesn't want to bump into his taboo. But Oriel refused to help them put people in the lab because he was worried that what they did would implicate him.
"Mr. O'Leary..."
The young man still had a smile on his face, the smile was not reaching his eyes, and he said coldly: "My boss is not as good at talking as I am. If he is angry, I do not guarantee that our transaction will not appear on the Bunier table. If You can't do it, we don't mind substitutions."
He tilted his head with a half-smile: "As for the last question, you have to think about it before answering."
A cold sweat broke out on Olier's forehead, opened his mouth to try to bargain, and swallowed what he wanted to say after meeting the young man's gaze.
He said unwillingly: "I will do what I promised, but you can't cause me trouble."
"You can rest assured that our people can be perfectly integrated into the institute."
"It's just arranging people to learn something in the research institute, you don't have to be too nervous." The young man comforted him casually, "It will take decades for my boss's research progress to catch up with Eureka, then it has nothing to do with you."
"Our interests are the same, and the actions of the institute still depend on your help. My boss will never cheat on you."
Olier's face was still a little ugly: "I hope so."
Now that they have decided to continue their cooperation, the two began to discuss their next steps.
When Oriel was leaving, the young man reminded him: "The news will arrive at the institute in a few days. Before that, take away your expression." To avoid guessing that Chris's accident was caused by Oriel's actions.
In addition, he said: "Don't be too obvious about Chris's old department." Olier does have this plan. Those who are involved in important research can't move for the time being. The unimportant ones can be resolved first, and the others will be taken out slowly.
Although the young man spoke up, he was still a little unwilling. For so many years in a tit-for-tat confrontation with Chris, Oriel could not wait to clear all the people and things related to Chris.
"These people are temporarily useful to the boss."
"What about Chris's apprentice?" Olier thought, this newcomer who has just entered the negative fifth floor is always useless to the young boss.
"Don't touch him, think about Blake."
"Black? What do you want to say, Boyce is also a special human being?" After Black received special treatment from s-5, the research institute put forward a conjecture that the mermaid would treat human beings with certain characteristics specially. But at that time, the institute looked for thousands of people similar to Blake and found that only Blake was treated specially by s-5.
The institute overturned the previous conjecture because of this experimental result.
Oriel, who knew about the experiment, also dismissed the conjecture.
Boyce's stable life has now been attributed to luck by Olier.
"Luck is also a kind of strength."
"Also, there are always things that can't be explained by science. If he is special to the merman, it is more valuable to stay."
Oriel asked back, "What if he wasn't?"
"Then wait until it becomes the ration of s-37, just as you want, don't you dislike him?"
After sending Aurier away, the young man turned on the communicator and sent a few messages out.
"Sure enough, I regret it, O'Leary is really unreliable."
Fortunately, they were not prepared to believe him in the first place.
The communicator quickly replied: "Received, the arrangement has been completed."
…
"Special humans?" Blake's records refer to the experiment as a joke.
Boyce dug out relevant information. The experiment of that year was a failure, but it was very interesting to select suitable candidates for the experiment.
Researchers at the time all believed that Black had a certain quality, some suggested it was a face, some thought it was related to diet... The most commonly accepted is that this quality may be the ability to hear some kind of mermaid that can't be heard by ordinary people.
