MTL - Study Days at Hogwarts-Chapter 76 skull cap
Chapter 76 Headless Cap
Gryffindor students are a group of fearless masters, and there are many students who wander around the castle late at night every year.
"What about you?" George asked.
"What do you think?" Albert angrily threw the towel used to wipe his hair to George.
"By the way, why do you need to take another shower at night?" George reached for the towel and threw it back to Albert.
"I'm in a good mood in the morning, and I sleep well in the evening." Albert said naturally.
The three of them looked at him speechlessly, and they didn't want to argue about this matter. They all knew that Albert could always find a bunch of appropriate reasons for you when he talked about things.
"Can you really sleep well?" Lee Jordan asked coldly, and then he also went to take a shower.
Albert sat back on the bed, listened to the twins chatting about the secret passage of the castle, picked up the magic wand on the pillow, and tapped the towel thrown beside him.
The Disillusionment Charm took effect, and the towel seemed to disappear from the bed.
Albert picked up the invisible towel, put it in front of him, looked at it, and covered it on his hand. The covered part disappeared, but overall there was still an inexplicable sense of disobedience.
Albert crumpled up the towel and observed the effect of the Disillusionment Charm. At some point, this sense of disobedience would become more abrupt.
"Your hand...how did you do it just now?" Fred looked at Albert's left hand under the towel, his eyes widened in surprise.
"You mean this?" Albert handed Fred the towel on which he cast the Disillusionment spell, "I used a Disillusionment spell on the towel."
"Excellent." George also leaned over to study. "However, there are still some flaws."
"I can only do this for the time being." Albert's Illusion Curse has been upgraded to level 1, but the effect of invisibility is still not satisfactory, as long as it is a clever wizard, it is not difficult to see the flaw, "Some wizards will Use this magic to make poor-quality invisibility cloaks."
"Invisibility cloak?" Fred asked puzzled, "I've heard of it, but why do you say it's inferior?"
Albert explained, "The invisibility effect on the cloak will gradually fade over time."
"Look, my hand is broken." Fred covered his hands with an invisible towel, winked at George, and said, "If you don't look closely, you really can't see it."
"Wrap it around your head," Albert reminded.
Fred and George looked at each other, as if realizing something, there were malicious smiles on the corners of their mouths.
The door was closed again, and the oil lamp in the room suddenly went out.
"What the **** are you doing? Why don't you turn on the lights in the dormitory? Are you all asleep?" Li Qiaodan, who had just taken a shower, pushed open the wooden door of the dormitory and found it was pitch black.
Suddenly a light appeared in the darkness. Lee Jordan looked in the direction of the light source, only to see one of the twins standing by the table, turning around and looking this way. The pale light from the wand's tip moved up his body and settled on his shoulder.
Li Qiaodan has already seen clearly, this person actually...has no head.
"This..." The expression on Li Qiaodan's face froze, and he just stood there blankly.
Honestly, this scene looks pretty scary, especially in the dark.
"Ahem, stop making trouble, you are all scared to death!" Albert suppressed himself from laughing, reached out and pulled the invisible towel off Fred's head, exposing his head.
"Is he all right!" George turned on the lights again, looked at Li Jordan who was stunned in place uneasily, and cast a reproachful look at his twin brother, as if everything was Fred's fault.
"I don't know, shouldn't I be scared stupid? Fred reached out to touch Lee Jordan, but was stopped by Albert.
I don't know how long it took, but Li Qiaodan hadn't recovered from the stupefaction, and an uneasy atmosphere quietly spread in the room.
"Hahaha!" Li Qiaodan burst out laughing suddenly, startling all three people in the room.
"Are you okay!" Fred asked tentatively.
"It's okay." Lee Jordan made a ghostly look at the three of them. The reaction just now was obviously pretended on purpose. "However, I was really taken aback by you."
George said angrily: "We were just surprised by you."
"Having said that, the scene just now was really scary." Lee Jordan took the invisible towel handed over by Albert, looked at it in front of his eyes, and asked, as if thinking of something, "You say, if you scare the towel like this Filch, will he faint from fright?"
"Probably not, after all, there are ghosts in the castle." Albert directly denied this possibility. People in the magic world have a much better ability to accept and accept unknown things than ordinary people.
If you let your head disappear and walk around the crowded streets late at night, you will probably be able to scare a lot of people, and even make the headlines tomorrow.
"Still, it's quite scary to see someone's head disappear suddenly." Fred said, "Why doesn't Zuko's joke shop have such a thing?"
"Zoko is not young, and has passed the age of active thinking. Although he has the ability to transform ideas into joke props, his inspiration may have dried up." Albert explained casually, "If he doesn't have this Inspiration, naturally you can’t make a skull cap.”
"Headless hat?" Fred's eyes lit up, "That's a good name."
"Write it down, write this down." George hurriedly searched for a quill and parchment, "Someday, we might be able to make our own headless hat."
"Before then, I'm afraid you have to learn the spell well." Albert reminded.
"Uh, what's going on?" Li Qiaodan noticed that the invisible towel was no longer invisible.
"The disillusionment spell on it is about to disappear." Albert checked the disillusionment spell on the invisibility towel. After all, this kind of thing cannot remain invisible permanently like Harry Potter's invisibility cloak.
In other words, this thing is a bit like optical camouflage.
"Gone so soon?" muttered Fred
Albert picked up the pocket watch on the pillow, glanced at the time and said, "It lasted about half an hour."
"The duration was so short." George was a little disappointed.
"I haven't fully grasped it yet, how long do you expect it to last." Albert couldn't help but rolled his eyes. The duration of the magic is related to the wizard who cast the spell.
As for the Disillusionment Curse, Albert is only at the initial stage of mastering it. If it is Professor Flitwick, he should have a way to make an invisibility cloak that lasts for a long time.
Of course, truly brilliant spell masters don't need to use invisibility cloaks at all. They can always easily use spells to make themselves invisible, and ordinary wizards can't find their existence at all.
