Multiverse Harem System: Every Heroine Wants Me-Chapter 28
Even though Mike could happily continue fucking the beauties till night came, he was aware he had much more to do than be rolling in the sheets with them.
According to Rafael, one could rent them for a day – only 5 coppers per beauty, and for a few hours, just 3 coppers.
Mike settled them with the 3 coppers first. If he had time to come again, he’d visit another batch.
He also thoughtfully left some money for his two friends, who came out to take it as soon as he knocked on the room they were in.
And with that, he walked out.
He hadn’t been able to look around earlier, and right now, he could as much as he wanted. The street he was in was lined with all sorts of workplaces, but mostly men’s workplaces. For example, he came across a carpenter shop, a men’s hair salon, and a carriage repair shop.
One had to say, Flower House really placed itself well.
Mike continued walking around. He wasn’t really in a hurry to go to the Pesyr. He was more interested in exploring the elves’ world.
Both men and women walked across the city, but mostly men, of course. Mike also realized at least half of them were just as effeminate as Sterling — super pale skin and a feminine appearance.
He shook his head.
Well, if only he knew how pale he had gotten.
Mike walked for a while before finally coming across a carriage stop.
After thinking about it, he went ahead and approached one of them.
The man hurriedly led him into the carriage after a successful price negotiation, and thus, Mike was taken to the Pesyr Mansion.
And honestly?
Mike was damn impressed.
This place would be a great tourist center back in his world.
It had the antiquity of the old, but the magnificence of the modern.
It was simply a masterpiece. The moment he stepped out of the carriage, even the air seemed to have changed. It felt purer. And he felt his core shift, becoming restless, as if wanting to absorb the mana that filled the air.
Mike’s expression hardened.
Damn it, he could already imagine how much his mana would increase if he was actually able to cultivate here.
His heart pulsed with desire he had to hide as he calmly took a step forward.
The delicate golden rune vines that surrounded the white mansion pulsed faintly when he stood close enough to one of the magnificent gates, and then someone appeared beside him. A guard stepped out, face hidden behind a mask.
"What do you want?"
Mike glanced at the man. "I’m here to see Lady Pesyr."
The person’s voice didn’t change, though they were silent for a while. "Your name?"
"Mike." Saying that, he took out the hairpin. "Please show her this."
The guard took the hairpin, and just like that, the air shifted, and Mike found himself standing alone again.
He waited for around a minute or so, and the man appeared again.
But this time around, Mike thought he could detect some respect in him.
"Please come in, Great Guest."
And with that, the gate of Pesyr was opened after several months of being tightly shut.
Mike followed him in, and as if the gate had an intelligence of its own, it shut behind them.
The inside was like an entirely different world. The air was thick with mana; so potent it almost shimmered visibly — Mike felt that he didn’t have to close his eyes and use his consciousness to see it, he would if he stared deeper. Every breath he took buzzed through his lungs and danced along his core like it was waking up.
If the mana outside was at level 5, the one inside was at least level 20!
At the entrance stood a woman in an emerald dress. Her eyes, however, were bright purple, and her face was so ethereally perfect that Mike almost forgot to breathe for a second.
Damn, why are elves so beautiful?
The woman looked him in the eyes, then her lips parted. "Vi sent you here."
Just as Mike nodded, a smile blossomed on her cold expression, softening her features. "Great! Come in. Mother is already waiting for you."
Mike already guessed, this woman was likely Zoey. Elvida’s cousin.
She turned without another word, her dress fluttering behind her. He followed without hesitation, boots tapping softly against the polished obsidian tiles of the corridor.
Mike couldn’t help but look around. The walls were lined with mana-infused crystal lamps that pulsed in rhythm with something.
He found himself glancing around, trying to take it all in. If the outside of the Pesyr Mansion was grand, the inside was downright mystical. Every tile, every curtain, every sculpture seemed handpicked to both impress and intimidate.
Even more so than the royal palace.
Being in a place like this made him feel small.
Eventually, they arrived at a vast hall. The doors opened by themselves.
Inside sat Lady Pesyr.
Mike’s breath caught again. He thought he’d seen beauty earlier, but Lady Pesyr was on another level. She was a certified MILF.
Her silver-blonde hair spilled in curls around her shoulders, and her golden eyes gleamed like the sun through honey. A circlet of moonstones rested on her brow, and her robes were flowing and sheer, radiating both elegance and dominance. Her skin was alabaster pale, and her dress had a low-cut cleavage.
"Please, have a seat." She motioned to Mike, and he planted his ass on the soft couch.
"My niece—"
Mike cleared his throat, then relayed Elvida’s message to her. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Lady Rebekah Pesyr gritted her teeth, her hand visibly tightening. "That damn bodyguard."
Mike mused in his heart.
So much trust this woman had for Elvida that she didn’t even doubt his or her words — when she literally was about to be beheaded for it.
"Let her know the King doesn’t allow us to visit her. But tell her not to worry much. I will investigate," she said, nodding at Mike.
Mike also nodded. He was prepared to leave when Rebekah suddenly said, "Since you came here from afar to relay this message, please accept my gift."
She raised her hand, and in a shimmer of golden light, a small black box materialized out of thin air and floated gently toward Mike.
He caught it. The box was cool to the touch, carved from some obsidian-like material with delicate rune markings glowing faintly on its surface. Mike cracked it open, and inside lay a dagger. Its blade was short, curved slightly, and gleamed like moonlight, with an intricate vine design along the hilt. At the base of it was a single, embedded crystal.
"A soulsteel blade," Rebekah said. "Forged in the Deep Elven Ruins. It bonds to its wielder over time. Deadly, silent, and hungry. It likes blood."
Mike blinked, not expecting to be given something this precious.
He turned the dagger over in his hand, feeling it hum against his palm. It reminded him of Moon Blade. And he would have taken this if he didn’t already have that with him.
"This is a great gift," he muttered, then turned to stare at her. "But I was wondering if I could ask for something else in exchange."
Lady Pesyr’s gaze sharpened, and there seemed to be an invisible pressure in the room. Her golden eyes narrowing slightly, though her lips remained curled in a mild smile. "Go on."
Mike gestured vaguely around. "Your mansion. The air here... like the mana density is wild. Way higher than anywhere I’ve been so far. I want to cultivate here. Can you grant me that?"
"What?" Rebekah thought she had misheard.
Mike didn’t think anything was wrong with his words, so he repeated his words calmly.
Of course, what he didn’t know was that Rebekah didn’t think the mana in her mansion was worth more than a blade. Most guards would also choose the blade. After all, they could cultivate mana anywhere, but not everyday do they have access to weapons like this, embedded with runes.
But Mike was different.
Rebekah studied him for a beat longer, tilting her head slightly, the silver strands of her hair catching the light.
"You’re... serious?" she asked, as if trying to gauge if this was some kind of guard joke she just didn’t get.
Mike nodded without hesitation. "Dead serious. I don’t need weapons right now. I need power."
There was a pause. Then—
She laughed. Her laughter was crisp.
"I see," she said, eyes gleaming with intrigue. "You’re an unusual one, Mike."
Mike shrugged, not responding. He placed the dagger back into the box, ready to hand it over, but Rebekah shook her head.
"No. Since it’s already handed to you, just keep it."
Mike smiled. "Thank you."
She waved her hand casually, standing. "Zoey will take you to one of our mana cultivation rooms. And yes, you can come here whenever you want."
Mike’s eyes lit up, his tone louder. "Thanks."
"No problem." She stepped back. "My regards to Vi."
And with that, she walked away, leaving Mike and Zoey.
