MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM-Chapter 191: That’s What You Get
That's What You Get
Vazar watched with cold eyes as his people killed the last of the beasts that were assaulting them at the top of the mountain. There were a few casualties, but nothing that would cause a drop in the overall power of the entourage.
What he was more satisfied with was their speed. He was confident that would reach the center before anyone else and before the Arbiter did anything that wouldn't throw a wrench in his plans. Still, he wasn't about to get complacent.
He was about to tell everyone to rest a little bit. After all, he was cruel, but he wasn't dumb enough to compromise their combat strength just to save time, they had limits after all.
But before he could issue the order, a horrific screech suddenly resounded throughout the area, and with the screech came terrible consequences.
Vazar felt like someone had just stabbed his brain with countless needles as blood poured from his nose like a tap and he staggered slightly.
'Who...?!' His eyes turned red as some blood vessels burst and he looked around. To his dismay, more than half of his men were unconscious, and those who weren't were seriously injured and on the verge of passing out.
He groaned as he held his head. The sound was still echoing in his mind. The scream seemed to be filled with agony, yet the force of it caused such devastating damage.

'What could hurt such a being...!' His eyes widened.
'No... not again...!' He gritted his teeth so hard that his gums started to bleed.
'Was it them again? The Arbiter? Could it have been them?' A small part of him wanted to hope that it was the Arbiter that had unleashed such a horrid scream and not whatever they must have been fighting. After all, there's no guarantee it wasn't that way. But Vazar doubted that.
He had little to no experience when it came to Primordial Arbiters as most of what he knew was from vague records that briefly mentioned them. The most amount of information he'd ever gotten about them at once was from his master, which was also the first time he learned of them.
But with everything he'd learned of them, calling them anomalies was simply an understatement, and even though all his information on them was small, they all pointed to a certain consensus, and that was that a Primordial Arbiter could only be killed by another Primordial Arbiter or an entity that far surpassed them in power.
Moreover, if the scream had come from the Wrbuter, then Vazar would very much not like to know what had caused it.
In short, he wasn't in a good situation.
'How distasteful.' He clicked his tongue, brought out a bottle from his spatial ring, and downed its contents. Immediately, his condition began to improve.
"Take your elixirs, we don't have time to rest." He ordered his men and they all showed some hesitation in their eyes but obeyed regardless. It's clear that this elixir was quite a valuable resource.

"F-Fuck..." Jenny cursed as she coughed into her hand and pulled it back to see a bunch of blood which caused her to grimace.
They had been completely unprepared for the powerful scream, and because they had bypassed the blizzard, Jenny wasn't using the barrier of her turtle to protect them anymore. As a result, when the scream sounded, all of them suffered from its effects completely.
Many of them lost consciousness and those who didn't were in severe conditions. Needless to say, it wasn't pretty.
It didn't take her long to put two and two together, and this event only fueled her resolve.
'The results of your actions cause so much suffering, yet you don't even notice. How typical.' She growled and wiped the blood on her hand in the snow. She turned to her uncle who was already healing everyone and said.
"I'll go on ahead." Uncle Auro flinched and turned to her with wide eyes.
"Jenny..." She held up her hand.
"I'm not hearing it." She then removed a ring from her finger and tossed it to him which he deftly caught.
"Don't follow me." With that, she shot forward to complete the next trial.
Uncle Aura ran a hand through his hair and cursed.
'Impulsive youngsters these days.'

"A-Argh!" In a region of the hidden realm past all the trials, there was a small temple made of beautiful ice crystals.
Around it were icy blue flowers that gave off a refreshing scent and always adjusted the cold to what any race deemed to be a comfortable range.
However, the being within the temple had no time to admire any of that at the moment.
"D-Dammit...!" A humanoid being writhed the floor as it cradled a horrific injury on its torso. It was a slash mark that seemed just shy of splitting it in half.
Moreover, there were powerful traces of Annihilation energy, Void energy, and Authority that prevented the wound from closing and simply aggravated it.
The being, which looked like a featureless ice sculpture with horns, was the Warden, and this temple was the place where it established its connection with the hidden realm and allowed it to carry out the tasks that it did.
With this temple, it was virtually omnipotent within the hidden realm. At least, that's what it thought.
With a single attack, Christopher had essentially put it out of commission, and it was uncertain whether or not it would be able to recover from its wounds and survive. That's how dreadful the attack had been.
Christopher's attack ignored the distance between him and the Warden and tracked its will and hit it directly. Whatever defenses and protection the temple might have offered were sliced through like paper, so the Warden who had been pulling the strings was reduced to a writhing mess.
"Ugh.. why is there... a Primordial Arbiter...?" It managed as it tried and failed to purge the energy that plagued it. Annihilation energy and Void energy were one thing, but the Authority made it a different matter entirely. That is because the 'rule' Christopher had dictated was that the Warden wouldn't be able to heal from the injury or purge the other energies within the attack.
That's what made Arbiters so terrifying, you could have the means to do something like heal very quickly, but a word from them could make it so that you could no longer heal for the rest of your life. So even the Warden who knew about these matters with clearer detail knew not to intentionally mess with a Primordial Arbiter, but how could it have known that Christopher was one?
Right now, the regret in its heart was heavy. However, through its pain, it suddenly had an idea.
'Wouldn't the body of a Primordial Arbiter be the perfect vessel to facilitate the Lord's return?' It was a valid question. After all, not all Arbiters were the same, but a common theme among them was that they had miraculous means.
Most didn't know this, but his lord didn't possess any miraculous talents. He didn't have a crazy Physique, and his unique trait was his ability to manipulate souls. Which was quite impressive, but compared to his peers, he seemed a bit lacking, but he made up for it with his ingenuity and intelligence. Not to mention that he was cursed.
As such, he reached the level he did with all those, what would he be able to achieve if he had the body of a Primordial Arbiter and all their mysterious means?
He shuddered thinking about it, which made him grimace as it aggravated his wound.
'Right, even if I want to do that, I need to be smart about it. He did this much to me just because I threatened him, I doubt he'd let me know I wanted his body to be taken over.' However, the Warden wasn't deterred. After all, this was his purpose, so he would see it to the end.

Christopher snorted as he returned Scarlet to its tattoo form before taking a breath. He was certain he'd hurt the Warden seriously, and the thought brought him comfort.
'How strange, most people say revenge brings you no satisfaction, but I feel especially satisfied after shutting him up.' Christopher mused as the temperature returned to the surroundings.
Prism and Azure regained their mobility and both started panting, looking visibly shaken by what they had just witnessed.
"M-Master..." Prism started, but Christopher held up a hand.
"I'm fine, don't worry." He sighed behind his mask.
"I must have given you guys quite the scare huh?" He said and the two girls stood up. The sight of the usually stalwart Azure looking genuinely shool was something Christopher didn't think he'd see anytime soon, but considering the nature of what they just witnessed, it wasn't all that surprising.
"We were... certainly taken off guard," Azure admitted after regaining some of her composure which caused Christopher to smile.
"Well, if you guys are feeling better. Should we get going?" He asked and the two of them nodded without hesitation.
