My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively-Chapter 241: This Is Very Strange!
When she returned to the living room, Noah Drexler was sitting at the table, staring absentmindedly at the rice dumplings on the table.
Upon hearing a sound nearby, Noah Drexler turned his gaze, and when he saw the peeled rice dumpling she was holding, the expression on his handsome face froze.
Summer Shawcross came to his side, placed the plate down, then picked up a chopstick, pierced the soft white dumpling, and lifted it up, dipping it in some sugar before directly bringing it to his lips.
"Try it!" She smiled at him, her voice gentle.
Noah Drexler lowered his gaze, looking at the pure white dumpling she offered him, his eyes hesitated, and he did not open his mouth.
Seeing he did not make a move, Summer Shawcross was puzzled, instinctively thinking he did not like it.
"Plain sticky rice dumplings without filling don’t have much taste. I think a bit of sugar makes them better. If you don’t like it, I’ll replace it." She sighed softly.
The butler said she liked plain sticky rice dumplings without filling, but she always felt that dumplings without much taste were not very good, so she specially sprinkled some white sugar.
Unexpectedly, he seemed not to like sweets.
Just as Summer Shawcross was about to take back the dumpling, the man suddenly stretched out his hand and held the hand with the chopstick.
Seeing this, Summer Shawcross was slightly shocked, but the man lowered his head and opened his lips.
One bite... two bites...
The small dumpling was eaten in a few bites, and soon, only a chopstick was left.
Seeing this, Summer Shawcross looked at him with some joy and quickly asked.
"How is it? It tastes pretty good with sugar, doesn’t it?"
Noah Drexler pursed his lips, gently nodding his chin. Although he did not like sweets, the taste of the dumpling just now was unforgettable.
Indeed, it was much better than the taste in his childhood memories. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"I told you, dumplings need some flavor to be good." Summer Shawcross said with a bit of pride, "I’ll wrap a few smoked meat dumplings later, they’re even better!"
Sean Morgan said the virus he had affected his appetite, so she thought about making dumplings he liked for him, hoping he would eat more and have more energy to fight the virus!
Looking at her slightly proud expression, Noah Drexler’s gaze flickered.
It’s not that he had a preference for flavorless dumplings. Since childhood, he had only been able to eat that kind of dumpling.
As a child, his life with his mother was impoverished and in debt, and his mother was always in poor health. So during the Dragon Boat Festival, they could only symbolically wrap a few dumplings with plain sticky rice, and so when he grew up, he simply got used to plain sticky rice dumplings...
...
In the evening, Noah Drexler came downstairs after showering.
He found the villa unusually quiet. Looking around, he didn’t see a single bodyguard.
This was very unusual!
Just as he frowned and his expression changed slightly, he arrived at the entrance of the villa.
On the lawn at the entrance, a figure in a white dress was quietly leaning on the swing, gazing at the stars in the sky...
Seeing this, Noah Drexler inexplicably lightened his steps, walking towards the swing.
Hearing the sound behind her, Summer Shawcross was momentarily surprised, then turned to look. When she saw Noah Drexler, a few smiles appeared on her rosy little face.
