Chapter 24: 24. Professions

"Young master, there are many professions in this universe.

In fact, as humans advanced they redefined the definition of profession multiple times.

As of now the profession is treated as any work that is perfected by you and which helps you earn.

This is also the reason that the profession is divided into four categories.

They are:

Mortal Profession

Vocational Profession

Intellectual Profession and

Transcendant Profession"

Jin was surprised but Butler Hu continued,

"Mortal Profession, as the name suggests, are those which are done by mortals with no advancement, no enlightenment and no comprehension.

But remember that it is only done by mortals. If a cultivator uses them, they go beyond the scope of Mortal Profession.

Vocational Professions are those which are done by cultivators from their heart and their will.

These professions are done because they involve the heart and the will of a cultivator.

Intellectual Professions are those which took an entire species along with them. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The advancement and the downfall of the species is based on them.

The Transcendent Professions are those who help one to cultivate the law itself and reach the peak."

Jin listening to this information was shocked. He glanced at Butler Hu and asked with confusion,

"Grandpa Hu, why are the professions divided so much? Isn’t there a saying that all paths lead to one."

Butler Hu laughed and said,

"Young Master, you are right. All paths lead to one. But this is the exception.

In simple words only those exceptions can do this, not everyone.

If I were to give you a needle, you might be able to walk on the path of sewing for cultivation. But can a mortal do that?"

Jin understood. To walk any path, one must be talented, strong willed, lucky, strong background and so on.

He looked at Butler Hu and asked again,

"Then how are these professions distributed?"

Butler Hu nodded and replied,

"Any work done by a mortal can never exceed the Mortal Profession. They are bound to be in the realm of Mortality because they don’t carry spirituality.

There are always some exceptions.

In one ancient record, it is mentioned that once a mortal devoted himself to blacksmithing. And he used his life to craft a rank six sword. This sword is also known as the Mortal Sword."

Jin was surprised. And he felt respect for that guy who created this sword.

He asked curiously,

"How powerful was that sword?"

Butler Hu shook his head and replied,

"That sword was comparable to rank six weapons, not its use power.

In terms of attack, it is said that even a rank four weapon can outshine that sword.

The only benefit it shows is that it is forged by a mortal. Now, that sword might be rusting somewhere."

Butler Hu sighed and then continued on his next concept.

"After the Mortal Profession came the vocational profession.

You are teaching someone, you are nourishing the plants, you are harvesting.

In simple words, when a cultivator puts all his heart, soul and their will into any work, they are doing this kind of profession."

Jin nodded in understanding and asked,

"Are there any mortals who achieved something?"

Butler Hu laughed and said,

"Of course, my teacher was a prime example. Despite being a mortal he devoted everything of him to teach me and as a mortal he taught me till Mecha Lord."

Jin was surprised once again. Butler Hu continued,

"Then comes the Intellectual Professions. As I told you, these professions are capable of taking an entire species with them.

The prime example is the researchers and the potion makers.

They do this job for the evolution of species."

Jin nodded but before he could say anything he heard Butler Hu say,

"I don’t know if there are any mortals who did that.

And the final profession is Transcendent Profession. These are beyond the concept to foundation, willingness or evolution. Transcendent Profession means to merge all the other three in it and it goes beyond them because it helps in perceiving the laws.

Laws are said to be the power of gods."

Hearing the last sentence Jin’s body jolted slightly and he looked at Butler Hu with a shocked expression.

He doesn’t know what laws are, but he feels that they are something he has seen somewhere.

Butler Hu looked at Jin and smiled,

"Young master, now let’s talk about professions.

There are six top Cultivation Schools,so there are six top professions.

On the traditional cultivation path, there is the profession of Pillar Refining, where we refine natural treasures into a pillow.

On the beast training side, there is the profession of evolution. In this path, the heaven and earth treasures’ properties are extracted in liquid to evolve a beast.

The pill refining professions and potion making professions are different from each other.

On the Mecha cultivation path, the formation is supreme. We build formation on our mechas and this is also the base of a Macha Engineer.

In the weapon school, the blacksmithing profession is superior to others. The creation of a weapon is an art in itself.

In the body cultivation path, there is little information but it is assumed that they nurture the heaven and earth treasures because it is said that many of the heaven and earth treasures are found in the body cultivator’s galaxies.

And the world path, there is no information on them. They are a secluded clan."

Jin nodded from time to time as he gained information in these different professions.

Butler Hu nodded and said,

"Now I have filled you with the knowledge of the professions. Your future path is up to you now."

Saying this Butler Hu left the roof.

Now Jin was alone on the roof. He was lost and his own thoughts. After a while, he looked at the sky. He has many things he has to do.

But today the world of profession opened his eyes. He still remembers what Butler Hu told him just now that the division of professions is just a superficial thing. The true meaning is that no matter what you do it requires your heart, your will and your soul to do that.

After some time, he decided that he was going to focus on the Mecha engineer profession as well as the blacksmith profession.

Soon an entire day passed and by the time Jin realised, night was already above his head.

He did his dinner and he went to cultivate.

After doing a routine of cultivation, he went to sleep.

The next day Jin woke up and he resumed his usual routine.

Today he is officially going to start his new journey.
