My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 136: Olphi Does Smile, With Whom?
Chapter 136: Olphi Does Smile, With Whom? frёewebηovel.cѳm
(Arata)
Olphi met us while we were leaving the grand entrance of the house. While he gave me a respectful nod, the slight smile that crossed his lips seeing Asbela didn’t go unnoticed by me.
Asbela’s cheeks blushed like the last of the sun’s rays on the horizon as she paused and spoke to him while tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear.
Olphi’s expression moulded into a shy one, the kind I had never seen on this bald, burly man.
Now I knew, the big man was capable of smiling and carrying out a conversation.
It almost seemed too personal so I slowly walked away.
The lush green of the grass invigorated my senses. Raising my head, I took a deep inhale and filled my lungs with the much-needed freshness. The air was heavy with the scent of a multitude of blossoms, which ranged from roses to hydrangeas and bluebells.
My bandaged hand reached out and I touched the leaves and petals of the bushes. My feet found the winding path of glistening cobalt stones that appeared like a ribbon of melted sapphire.
The smooth and polished stones led me towards the heart of the garden. Its edges were lined with bushes of blue-themed flowers, their velvety petals unfolding under the shining sun. The tiny blue bells bobbed their heads as if carrying out a private conversation with a blowing gale.
The path slowly led me towards the waterfall-styled fountain. Its cascading water churned out like liquid silver as it touched the white stones below. The sound was like a soothing melody and I was lost in the beauty of this fountain.
Two plush garden chairs sat beside it with soft teal fabric and upholstered cushions with wavy patterns on them and a small wrought iron table was nestled between them.
Comfortably I settled down in one chair and made myself comfortable, soaking in the heat of the sun. Placing my hands on my knees, I closed my eyes and just listened to the noises in the garden.
The singing of a bird in the tree, probably a canary. Flowing of water, and a light rustle of the leaves. I relaxed, the tension of the previous events leaving me as I only focused on the many sounds.
"Should I bring out some tea?" Asbela’s sweet voice had me opening my eyes and I observed she was glowing.
The glow of when you speak to someone you admire, have a crush on or most importantly, someone you love.
I had been there so I knew. My chest tightened with the remembrance of how it felt and then it dawned on me.
No, it was how I was feeling right now.
The feeling was too familiar, and no matter how much I tried to jerk the idea away, it clung to me like a sea urchin.
And then I remembered, Asbela was waiting for my answer.
"Yes, please. Any relaxing tea will be nice." She offered me a sweet smile and returned towards the villa while I leaned back and closed my eyes again.
This was bad; deep inside my heart, I knew I was screwed. I shouldn’t have slept with Karsten; now, the man had seeped into my very soul.
I closed my eyes, and I would see him; I opened my eyes, and everything reminded me of him.
What was I going to do?
The only option was to seek out Azul whenever I would feel horny around Karsten.
But could I ignore the sexual tension between us? Now that I had gotten a taste of him and his manhood, my hunger for him grew. Somehow, I wanted more, more of his attention, more of his care and more of his physical affection.
He had a knack for making me feel safe, making me feel special but I was afraid of his cold attitude.
He could flip and turn into a completely different person, the one I couldn’t even recognise.
"Here!" Asbela placed the tray down and my eyes popped open.
Had I been thinking for too long?
Pouring me a cup from a black ceramic kettle with silver patterns she placed the dainty cup and saucer in front of me.
The smell of cardamom invaded my senses, calming and relaxing.
"Try these as well." She pointed to the strawberry and custard cream tarts. She brought a whole dish of those creamy delicacies and for the first time, my mouth didn’t water seeing them. Instead, there was a knot in my stomach.
"Should I help?" She asked, seeing me just sit there and not reach out to grab one. Maybe she thought, I wasn’t picking up one because of my injured hands.
"No, no, I just had breakfast so I am not hungry. I will just stick to the tea."
She nodded with an affectionate smile and settled down in the other chair, filling up her cup. The glow she carried and the smile that kept playing on her lips had me asking.
"So Olphi speaks with you?"
She paused, in her action and upped her gaze towards me while shyly answering.
"Yes, both of us joined in the same month about five years ago so we have gotten closer." Five years ago, the timeline didn’t sit right. She couldn’t be my age if she was already a nurse practitioner when she joined so I couldn’t help but ask.
"How old are you?"
"Just turned thirty-one." She picked up her cup and relaxed against the chair.
"Ohh! I thought you were my age."
She smiled. "How old are you, Arata?"
"Twenty-five."
"Nah! I am older. Olphi and I are almost the same age," she replied, taking a small sip of the tea.
I reached forward and carefully picked up the cup too. "So he is like only a friend or is he a special friend?"
My innocent question almost had Asbela choking and blushing harder than a ruby. She quickly placed the cup down and tried to hide her embarrassment while stealing her gaze from me.
"Umm! Just a friend, Arata. Why would you get such a notion?"
Did I read it wrongly?
Nah! She was being shy or I could guess both of them were shy.
Before I could answer, I heard the rolling of a car inside the driveway and turned my head in the direction.
Caysir opened the door and Karsten emerged from it looking sharp and devilishly handsome.
My heart skipped a beat and then another and I forgot to breathe.
