My Dragon King System-Chapter 311: The Power Of Thera The Fifth!
His feelings for Aeris had never changed, and he fought with the notion that if this kingdom was where she had chosen to live right now, then he would give all he had in his power to fight against those who troubled it.
He turned his gaze toward the area where Aeris was fighting alongside Laela, Arianna, and Rin.
He couldn’t see her clearly from this distance, but he could sense her presence.
And a smile crossed his lips.
"Stay safe," he murmured.
Then he levitated into the from a rooftop he stood and flew toward another section of the city where demons were still pouring through the breached walls.
——
Thamoryn stared at the skies in awe as she watched multiple gods fight on their behalf.
She had somehow returned to Oberon’s side after avoiding that attack from the Carnage Demon, Akravos.
Oberon was beside her in battered armor. His white hair had returned to its normal color now, but his eyes show showed residual lightning energy.
They both stared upward, knowing deep down Aiden had everything to do with this.
——
Right outside the main city was Thera, and she was floating in the skies while staring condescendingly at both Morrigan and Akravos.
She had been among the gods Aiden sent to this place. With the fury and disgust on her face, she was ready to wipe these demons out for good.
Morrigan and Akravos watched her carefully. By her presence alone, they knew what she was.
An Archon.
After a few seconds of stare-down, the Demon Lords realized this would only end in a battle against the Archon god, and Morrigan responded.
Her purple energy surged upwards, rising from her body in thick streams that twisted and coiled above her head.
The energy began to contort and reshape itself, forming into something massive.
A gigantic spectral form materialized above Morrigan, towering over everything around it.
It was a colossal figure clad in armor. It had menacing horns curved from its head, and in each hand it held long, curved blades.
The spectral entity loomed over the battlefield like a titan risen from the depths of the underworld.
And unlike the last time she used it against the two High Gods, when only half its body manifested, this time the translucent figure appeared in full and stood at least two hundred feet tall.
Thera had a genuine shocked expression on her face.
Aside from the fact that the demon energy was similar to Arzun’s, the spectral entity before her was indeed shaped like her Archon brother who had been exiled from Eden.
"How can you, a mere demon, call forth his power like that?" Thera muttered.
But that wasn’t all. Akravos’s body began to crack open, and tentacles started to pull out from parts of his body.
Each one thick as a tree trunk lined with razor-sharp teeth.
These tentacles started to enlarge and magnify as more and more of his features contorted.
His humanoid form split apart entirely now. His torso opened up, revealing a cavernous maw filled with rows upon rows of clawed eeth.
His limbs elongated grotesquely, bending at unnatural angles as they transformed into additional tentacles.
His head split open down the middle, and from within it emerged a pair of massive eyes that glowed with an eerie red light.
The resultant transformation ended up looking like a monstrous octopus with jagged teeth. This was Akravos’s true form, and it was as though it had remained hidden within the stomach compartment.
The monster roared towards Thera and the sheer force of it sent shockwaves rippling through the air.
Akravos’s tentacles lashed out wildly, tearing through the ground and sending chunks of earth flying in every direction. His massive form shifted and twisted as he moved forward, each movement causing the earth to quake beneath him.
Thera stared at the two colossal transformations before her. One a beast and another avatar of her brother.
Then a smile broke across her lips.
If perhaps she was a regular High God, then this may have been a problem, but she was an Archon. Thera the Fifth!
Different rocks and pebbles were violently ripped free from the earth below.
They mashed together rapidly, gathering around Thera’s figure like iron filings drawn toward a magnet.
More and more stone pulled free from the ground - boulders, debris from destroyed buildings, chunks of the city walls - all of it converging on Thera’s position until it began forming into something massive.
A gigantic golem of rock and molten lava took shape around her.
It towered upward with each passing second, growing larger and larger until its head reached high into the sky above Dragonhold.
Veins of glowing orange magma pulsed through the cracks between massive stone plates that made up its body.
The heat radiating from the golem was intense, and the ground beneath its feet began to blacken and crack from the sheer temperature.
Thera positioned herself at its core, piloting it from inside.
The golem’s eyes blazed with the same amber light as Thera’s own eyes, and when it took just one single step forward, the entire ground shook so violently that fissures spread outward in every direction.
And the two Demon Lords in their colossal forms ran to meet her charge.
Morrigan’s spectral avatar raised both its blades high as it surged forward with Its feet pounded against the ground like thunder as it closed the distance between them.
Akravos roared again and launched himself forward as well. His tentacles lashed out ahead of him like whips, tearing through anything in their path as he moved.
The three titans collided with earth-shattering force.
The left arm of the golem Thera controlled held a large blade swung by Morrigan’s avatar from its left.
The clash sent sparks of purple energy, and the golem’s arm trembled under the pressure as chunks of rock broke away, but Thera held firm.
While its right arm held out against the different tentacles that Akravos lashed out at it. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
The tentacles came from every angle, wrapping around the golem’s wrist and slamming into its forearm.
One thick tentacle drove forward like a spear toward the golem’s chest, but the golem’s right hand caught it mid-strike.
Black blood sprayed from where the grip crushed the tentacle as Akravos roared in pain, with more tentacles lashing out in retaliation and striking the golem’s torso with thunderous impacts.
They both struggled to breach through Thera’s earthen construct but it held.
The golem turned its head to look behind it and Thera realized that if this battle grew further in this place, the Dragonhold they sought to protect would only fall to their clash.
The golem’s left arm then pulled the sword forward, forcing Morrigan’s spectral avatar to stumble closer towards the golem as it grabbed onto its neck.
The movement was sudden and avatar lurched forward as it had been caught off-guard.
Morrigan’s avatar thrashed wildly, with its blades slashing at the golem’s arm as chunks of stone were carved away, but the golem’s grip only tightened.
With the golem having a tight pull on the avatar’s neck and holding onto the beast’s tentacles, it then lifted itself high from the ground.
And that single giant leap sent it a distance so far, with the monsters it fought, as the force of the leap exploded the ground beneath them, leaving a massive crater.
It landed in a far distance away from the city, in an area hopefully deserted, slamming both monsters it held onto the ground.
This caused an explosion of untold magnitude and pure destructive energy that erupted into the skies and expanded outward, vaporizing everything it touched.
