My Dragon King System-Chapter 328: They All Come Bearing Gifts
"Excellent." Oberon offered his arm to Ayan as a gesture of respect and acknowledgment. She accepted it, and together they led the procession from the royal chambers.
Ambrose had been living in solitude for nearly three years now, residing in a forgotten corner of the Valaross continent where few travelers ventured.
The small cottage he’d claimed was at the edge of a deserted town, one of settlements most of its inhabitants chose to abandon as it had become too far from most of the kingdoms.
He stepped outside into the morning light, squinting against the brightness. His appearance had changed considerably since leaving the Kingdom.
His hair had grown long and unkempt, and his clothes, while clean, had been mended so many times they were more patches than original fabric.
The isolation had taken its toll, giving him shadows beneath his eyes and leaving him gaunt.
But today, could finally answer his prayers.
Right then, those voices that plagued his mind for almost three years now returned even more aggressively.
"Kill them! kill the humans! Kill all of them!"
At first these used to give him a migraine but he had gotten used to it. He closed it eyes, slowed his breathing and then they disappeared.
He opened his eyes back up with a heavy sigh.
Ambrose had spent the past three years in insolation, because he didn’t want to endanger others.
And it was all cause of the voices in his head.
He then stretched his hand forward as a green magic circle appeared in front of his palm. He was going to use his theft magic.
Ambrose focused his intent on a specific target. "Distance"
With that, he stole the distance between himself and Dragonhold, collapsing thousands of miles into nothing. The world lurched, reality bent, and suddenly he was elsewhere.
The spell mimicked teleportation but operated on fundamentally different principles. Rather than moving through space, he’d simply took away the space that separated him from his destination.
The effect was instantaneous and ambrose materialized in a shadowed alleyway in Dragonhold.
Citizens were everywhere, lining the roads and chattering excitedly.
Ambrose kept to the edges of the crowd, with his hood drawn up to avoid recognition. He made his way toward the palace district, where he knew a procession would be forming.
He arrived just as the palace gates were opening. The royal family emerged on horseback as King Oberon led the procession, with his wives and children.
Behind them came various nobles and officials, all dressed for ceremony.
Ambrose lingered near a corner, partially concealed by a stone pillar. He made a little gesture with his palms and right then something fell into Talen’s pockets.
The Grand Magus narrowed his eyes and quickly slid his hands in, pulling out a crumpled piece of paper.
The note said, "to your left"
And right then Talen’s head turned in his direction. He knew felt a familiar presence around.
A knowing smile crossed Talen’s face. He said something quietly to those around him, then guided his horse away from the main procession, approaching Ambrose’s position.
"Hiding in corners doesn’t suit you, boy," Talen said gently.
"Thank you for letting me know it’s today" Ambrose said with a little smile on his face as he lowered his hood and handed the note back to Talen.
The Grand Magus was the only other who knew of that which plagued Ambrose.
Talen nodded and said, "come, join us"
Ambrose nodded back, then fell into step beside Talen, joining the rear of the procession.
Kayden glanced back and noticed him, but said nothing except offering a subtle nod before turning forward again.
The procession continued through Dragonhold’s gates and into the open plain beyond. When they’d traveled far enough from the city to have clear space around them, the group came to a halt.
Thamoryn and Talen both dismounted, moving to stand together at the procession’s center. The crowd formed a loose circle around them, with horses and people both watching with anticipation.
Ambrose observed as the two mages began their casting.
They both stretched their hands toward each other as magic circles formed before them.
"Fusion magic," they whispered in unison.
A massive magic circle materialized beneath the entire group, easily a hundred feet in diameter. Patterns and arcane symbols rotated within its boundaries.
Then, in an instant, they all vanished.
The teleportation spell transported them across a vast distance. When the light faded and Ambrose’s vision cleared, they stood somewhere entirely different.
They had arrived at the new City of Eden.
The city of gods no longer stayed in distant space as it once had, rather it existed amongst the humans now. Right here on this planet.
But Earth itself had changed.
During the timeline merger and reality reconstruction, the dragon godhad expanded the planet’s size dramatically. Not just slightly larger, but seven times its original diameter.
Continents had become truly enormous, with new geography filling the expanded spaces. Distances that used to require days of travel now demanded weeks or months.
The Valaross continent, for instance, had grown so substantially that journeying from Dragonhold to Xathia, once a single day’s ride, now took almost two months on foot or horseback.
The expansion had been necessary to accommodate a few new additions to the population of the earth and prevent overcrowding.
Eden was somewhere in between Valaross Continent and the Southern continent.
As the teleportation spell’s light faded, Ambrose took in his surroundings with wide eyes.
Eden was breathtaking.
Different kings and queens from around the globe had just arrived in Eden, as they walked the gateway of the Rhyos.
The God of Gateways was at the city’s entrance point, watching as they all walked in.

Adam was currently the city’s central square, watching from an elevated platform as people trooped in en masse.
Some of his children, the archons were at the square, speaking with some of the humans. B
Celion smiled warmly at each arriving dignitary. And from a short distance it looked like Thera conversed with Queen Thamoryn
The crowd grew steadily as more rulers arrived. The plaza filled with dozens of monarchs, and several hundreds of attendants and guards.
The members of ravens grave from their different corners were the happiest in the crowd. They spent so much time exchanging hugs and laughter with each other.
Kayden and Amelia had even split away from their father to be around the other members of the guild. Although, the Prince and Innis were acting a bit estranged, as though they never knew each other.
Ambrose was remained in a distant corner, although not far from the group. He watched them with a smile on his face.
"Never thought I’d see something like this," Bernard muttered, taking in the sight before him.
"The world is such a wonder my friend" Piers said, crossing his hand over bernie’s shoulders.
A figure eventually emerged from one of the buildings. It was Umgadi hovering out of it
She raised one hand, and the crowd’s murmuring ceased
"The time has come," Umgadi announced, with her voice carrying this gentle authority. "The Dragon God’s children will soon enter this world. We ask for your patience."
There was a ripple of excitement that passed through the assembled rulers and the other members of the crowd.
