My Dragon King System-Chapter 343: A Couple’s Blade Dance

For a moment, neither moved. They simply watched each other.

Then Katherine blitz forward and Piers met her advance.

Their swords collided with a sharp ring that echoed across the courtyard. The impact sent a small ripple through the air, but neither gave ground.

They held the clash, testing each other’s strength. Katherine pushed forward. Piers pushed back.

Then they disengaged for a moment, before Katherine quickly swung her arm to create a horizontal slash aimed at Piers’s midsection.

He deflected it with a sharp swing of his arm into upward motion, redirecting her blade high as well.

She recovered without pause, flowing her hand movement into a downward cut that forced him to take a step to the side.

Piers lunged his sword forward with a thrust aimed at her shoulder. Katherine shifted, angling her body just enough to let the blade pass by her.

She quickly moved in for a counterattack as she swung her sword diagonally upward toward his exposed ribs. Piers then pulled his extended blade back and angled it downward to meet her strike.

Their swords colliding with another sharp ring. The tempo remained steady as they circled each other, exchanging blows in a rhythm that felt almost as if they were rehearsing sword arts for a play.

Katherine feinted left, then cut right. Piers read it and blocked, but the force of her strike pushed him back a step.

He recovered and countered with a quick series of cuts from every angle; high, low then high again, but Katherine deflected each one fluidly.

They locked swords again, and as they grinning faces met.

"You’re holding back on me darling," Katherine said

"Could say the same for you. Are you trying not to hurt me baby?" Piers replied.

Then they broke apart again, and it was right then tempo began to shift.

A slash from Katherine carved through the air toward Piers’s neck. He ducked under it and came up with a rising cut aimed at her chest.

She deflected it, redirected her momentum, and brought her sword down in a powerful overhead strike.

Piers crossed his blade above his head to catch it. The impact sent a shockwave radiating outward from where they stood.

The ground beneath their feet cracked slightly as they both disengaged and leaped two steps backwards.

Katherine swung her arm horizontally and unleashed a technique. "Flying Crescent!"

Her blade arced through the air in a wide, sweeping motion causing blue energy to took the shape of a crescent to follow the path of her sword, expanding outward as it shot toward Piers.

Piers planted his feet and met it head-on. "Breaking Wave!"

He raised his blade coated in raging blue energy and swung it down to cut through the crescent, splitting the energy in half.

The two halves then hit the ground on his sides, bursting the ground and raising debris.

Katherine pressed forward and each time their swords met, the impact would small shockwaves rippling outward. One particularly heavy clash sent a shockwave strong enough to shake the nearby pillars lining the courtyard and forming severe cracks on them.

Katherine grinned. "Now we’re talking."

Katherine swung her arm horizontally and unleashed a technique. "Flying Crescent!"

Her blade arced through the air in a wide, sweeping motion causing blue energy to took the shape of a crescent to follow the path of her sword, expanding outward as it shot toward Piers.

Piers planted his feet and met it head-on. "Breaking Wave!"

Piers then look a slow breath in and whispered. "I will now show you the real results of my training"

One moment he was directly in front of Katherine. The next, he was behind her, with his sword already mid-swing toward her back.

Katherine reacted on instinct, whirling around and bringing her blade up to block. Their swords met with a sharp clang.

But Piers flickered again.

This time he appeared to her left, with his weapon aiming to cut her from the side. Katherine pivoted and parried, but the motion felt wrong.

His blade seemed to blur, as though it wasn’t entirely there.

She adjusted her grip and pressed forward, aiming a thrust at his chest. Piers however sidestepped, then vanished entirely for a fraction of a second before reappearing behind her once more.

Katherine gritted her teeth. This was his transport magic, and it was making him unpredictable.

She couldn’t rely on reading his movements anymore because he wasn’t moving in a traditional sense.

He was teleporting, and his blade was following the same logic. She turned to face him again, raising her sword to block his next strike. Their blades came together, but then Piers’s weapon blurred out of existence for just a second

Katherine’s eyes widened.

She tried to adjust her parry, but it was too late. His blade reappeared on the other side of her own sword, having bypassed her defense entirely as though it had phased through her weapon.

The tip of Piers’s sword stopped an inch from her throat.

And there was this silence fell over the courtyard.

They were both breathing hard and staring at each other. Then Katherine lowered her sword and let it fall to the ground as she walked several paces at once towards him.

Piers lowered his weapon as well. It fell to the ground the same time as Katherine’s while he walked towards her as well.

The battle had sparked a sexual tension neither of them tried to resist.

His hands shoved under her skirt fast and she gripped his neck, pulling him closer. Then instantly they both disappeared under the effect of transport magic

Aiden slammed his palm on his face and turned away while laughing.

Uriel turned, trying to muffle her chuckle with her palm over her mouth. "Is anything an excuse for them to have sex?"
