My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 57: Not A Rejection, Nor a Confession
His heart pounded. If only she could hear it. He was jealous of her courage and was hoping he could easily convey his feelings for her.
"Why do you have to count the times I rejected you? And for the record, tonight was not a rejection. So it’s sixty-four." He ranted.
Brie had a wide grin on her face. "Really? You’re not rejecting me?"
"Whatever. I’m just not in the mood for that. Besides, we’re talking about your birthday. Just tell me what you want except me. You’re always around me anyway. Why would you want me as a gift?"
She turned her body to his side, making him feel uncomfortable. Not because he didn’t like it, but because Brie’s chest was bigger for her age. She was wearing a white collared top and he just noticed her laced bra was visible because it was too thin.
She was being careless and realizing she was with Karl earlier made his blood boil. He wanted to hunt the guy and punch him in the face.
Her face showed confusion when he took off his jacket and put it on her. She frowned at him.
"Next time, don’t wear thin clothes." He said averting her eyes.
Then her face turned red and her cheeks felt warm when she understood what he meant. But a naughty thought suddenly came into her.
"Do you think I’m attractive?" She asked.
Lucas glanced at the driver’s seat. He felt embarrassed being asked by a young woman. He caught his driver trying to stop himself from smiling. He quickly pushed the button of the partition window to close it.
"You don’t even choose a place to flirt with me." He scolded her. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Brie chuckled. "So, you want me to flirt with you in private?"
He was taken aback. It sounded like he wanted to, but that wasn’t really what he meant.
"Brie, I said stop." He warned her.
But Brie wouldn’t back down.
"Answer my question, then I’ll stop." She said while leaning toward him.
He sighed. He knew exactly how determined she is and she would really never stop teasing him.
"Fine! You win! And my answer is yes! Happy now?"
Brie’s eyes sparkled. "Do you think I can win your heart?"
Lucas glared at her. Then he thought of a way to confess to her slowly. She would be fifteen in a month, but he still had three years to wait for her. By then, he’ll be twenty-two. Will he confess on the day of her eighteenth birthday? He thought inwardly.
"I’m not sure. Maybe." He said.
It wasn’t a rejection, nor a confession. And Brie felt glad about it.
"Are you giving me hope this time? If your answer is like that, then I will assume that you, at least, forgot the past." She said.
He took a deep breath and slowly massaged his temple.
"Okay, fine. Yes. I’m giving you fifty percent hope."
Brie had the sweetest smile on her face. She quickly jumped to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. He felt her breasts pressed against his chest, making him want to teach her a lesson.
"So, are you happy now?" He asked.
She nodded. "Yes. Very happy. And about the gift, I still want you. What I mean is, I want you to spend a day with me. Like a date."
"And where do you want to go?" He asked.
She was still clinging into his neck, and he didn’t avoid her. He had no plans on avoiding her from now on. Maybe his feelings for her would be conveyed by his actions.
"An amusement park. A movie. A picnic." She answered.
"And you plan to do it here in Northbay?"
She nodded. "I’m fine anywhere as long as I’m with you."
He sighed and without him noticing, he patted her head.
"How about we go on a trip?"
"A trip? Just the two of us?" She exclaimed.
He didn’t answer. If they would go on a trip alone, he wasn’t sure if he could control himself. She’s a minor and he had so much respect toward her. However, Brie was a bit aggressive and might push him to his limits.
"I’ll ask Caden and Alira to join us. I think it’s better if we invite them." He said.
Brie pouted. "I want to be alone with you."
He laughed. "Aren’t you tired of seeing my face? And we spent a lot of days alone. You are always in my room. And you sleep in my bed."
"But you never take advantage of me." She commented.
"What the hell, Brie?"
"Fine. I’m sorry. But since you’re going to invite Caden and Alira, can I asked an advanced birthday present?"
He frowned. "And what would that be?"
Her face was flushed, making him curious of what she was about to ask. She bit her lip and with glowing eyes, stared directly into him.
"C—Can you kiss me?"
His eyes widened. He didn’t expect her to ask for a kiss.
"Brie, I—I don’t know. You should kiss someone you love and who loves you back. I don’t think I’m the right guy."
Brie shook her head. "No. You are the right man for me. I know this is embarrassing because I’m a girl, but I really want you to be my first kiss. Or do you want me to ask someone else to kiss me?"
"No!" He immediately answered without hesitation.
"See? I know you won’t allow that. Maybe you don’t love me just yet, but because you care about me, you won’t let me find a guy to be my first kiss."
This girl was really smart. She was threatening him that she would look for someone else.
"Fine. But this is just an advance gift." He said.
She nodded and excitedly closes her eyes.
Looking at her face and the feeling of warmth from his body, made him lose control. He tilted her chin up and slowly crossed the space between their faces.
He planted a short but sweet kiss on her lips. But she didn’t open her eyes after. Instead, he saw her slightly open her mouth.
What the fuck? He said to himself before kissing her again.
