My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 67: The Clash
They were escorted by Juliano Garcia’s men in one of the hotel rooms. She felt anxious, knowing that they had the disadvantage on the situation.
Caden felt her uneasiness again and squeezed her hand as they stepped inside the room. They were taken to the largest room of the hotel and the most expensive one.
"Our boss will be here any minute. Please have a seat." One of the men said.
They sat on the sofa and waited. A woman in a maid uniform approached them with a wine in her hand. She was beautiful but her uniform was too bold, showing off almost half of her chest. She didn’t ask them if they wanted a drink, she just poured the wine and handed them to Caden and Lucas.
Alira frowned when the woman handed her and Brie an orange juice instead. She took it and without a doubt, emptied the glass.
"You didn’t tell me you’re that thirsty." Caden teased her.
"I’m not. But I’m pissed." She said.
Caden chuckled. "Just relax. Everything will be fine."
She glared at Caden, checking if he was looking at the woman’s breasts.
"I’m only looking at you." He said.
Five men in black suits entered the room followed by Juliano Garcia. The presence of the men inside the room felt suffocating.
The penthouse was big enough for a hundred people, but she felt like being cornered by the men around them.
"I’m really glad to see you, Your Highness. And of course, Mr. Wilson." Juliano started when he sat across them.
Lucas smiled. "I’m hoping you don’t hold grudges, Mr. Garcia. I mean, when we turned down your invitation. I didn’t review it carefully. My apologies."
Juliano shook his head. "Oh, no! No! I wasn’t expecting, really. So when you turned it down, I didn’t want to give up and included your name on the Crown Prince’s invitation."
"I’m glad you did." Lucas simply answered.
"So, you won the sword of destiny, the pocket watch and the black diamond! Amazing! Truly, you’re one of the wealthiest people in this country." Juliano commented.
Caden didn’t let go of her hand because it was trembling. And her heart was pounding as if it would explode out of her chest. Brie, on the other hand, was calmly and quietly sitting between her and Lucas. How she wished, she was like Brie. She thought inwardly.
"How are you going to pay for the items? Cash? Bank transfer?" Juliano asked with a wide grin on his face.
"I’ll pay cash." Caden answered.
Juliano was surprised. "You brought one billion dollars in cash here at the event?"
Caden nodded. "Yes. I was very interested in the black diamond that was on your invitation so I brought some money with me."
"How about the watch and the sword?" Juliano asked while glancing at her and then Brie.
"I’ll transfer it now. Give me the account details." She said.
"Me, too." Brie answered.
Juliano couldn’t believe what he just heard. He turned to Brie with amusement.
"Correct me if I’m wrong, but you’re fifteen, right?"
Brie nodded. "Yeah. What about it?"
Juliano waved his hand. "Oh, nothing, Miss Cross. I was just wondering if your parents knew you would buy something that expensive with their money."
Brie frowned. "I’m not going to use my parents’ money. I have my own and I worked for it."
Caden suddenly laughed. "I think your source about Miss Cross is unreliable. She’s rich not because of her allowance. She’s actually working for me."
Juliano’s eyes widened. "O–Oh, I see. Anyway, let’s go ahead and get this over with. Here’s the account details."
Then he turned to Caden and was wondering where the money was.
"The money is with my bodyguards. Is it okay if they come here?" He asked.
Juliano didn’t hesitate and nodded. "Sure. No big deal!"
Caden smiled and then took his phone.
"Bring it. Penthouse." He said.
After a few minutes, ten men in casual clothing stepped inside the penthouse with suitcases in their hands. Juliano’s excitement was too obvious as he hungrily stared at the money when Caden’s men opened the cases.
"Do I need to count them?" He asked, looking at Caden.
"If you want to."
Juliano nodded. "Bring the money counter."
While Juliano and three of his men started counting the money, she and Brie wired their payment on Juliano’s account.
"Sent. Confirm it now." She said.
Juliano nodded. "Got it. And Miss Cross’ payment as well."
As they waited for Juliano, the woman poured another wine to Caden. She glared at the woman who was no doubt flirting with Caden.
"So, do you already have a wedding date?" Juliano suddenly asked.
"Why do you ask?" Caden frowned.
Juliano stopped counting and let his men do the work.
"I’m just wondering. Well, honestly I wanted to have small talks with you. Maybe we could meet and do business in the future." Juliano answered.
Caden nodded. "If you want to talk then how about we start talking about your grandmother’s collection."
Juliano smiled slightly and felt a little awkward. "Oh, yes! Sure! What do you want to know?"
Caden crossed his legs, tapping his fingers on his knee.
"I’m dying to know how the black diamond landed in your grandmother’s hands?" Caden asked.
Juliano’s eyes widened and she saw his fear toward Caden.
"W–What do you mean how? She bought it." He stuttered.
Caden chuckled. "Bought it? From whom?"
"Why do you want to know? Our host already told the necklace’s history."
"Don’t get me wrong. Your host told the black diamond’s history and it was beautiful, I commend him for that. He clearly said that it was given to Hoseki’s heiress as a gift, but he never mentioned that the last owner of the necklace was my fiance’s mother before it went missing?"
Juliano leaned his back on the sofa and crossed his legs. Although fear was clearly written on his face, he tried to compose himself and stared into Caden’s eyes.
"I don’t know what you mean, Your Highness. If you want to say something, why don’t you get to the point?" Juliano said.
"I simply want to know the rest of the story because it seemed lacking."
Juliano wouldn’t give up. His eyes was staring directly into Caden’s.
"And what if I decline to tell you anything?"
Caden smirked. "We’re doing business here, Mr. Garcia. And as a buyer, I think I have the right to know where the product came from. If this deal is successful, then maybe we could be partners in the future."
Caden stared back at Juliano and his silver eyes had nothing but coldness once again. She knew Caden changed his mood into the Boss of the Forelli Clan again, making her tension grew.
"You didn’t answer my question. If I refuse to tell you the details, will you cancel the deal?" Juliano asked.
Caden laughed. "Don’t worry. I’m not going to cancel our deal. I offered one billion dollars because my wife wanted it so badly. As you said, it was originally from the Hoseki women and she’s the current heiress of the Hoseki Empire."
Juliano clenched his teeth and was about to say something when Caden stopped him by raising his hand.
"Before you give me an answer, I want to remind you that whether you tell us the truth or refuse to say anything, the black diamond we’ll be in my wife’s hands after this meeting. But I can’t promise a smooth transaction between me and you." Caden said in a cold tone.
Then Caden’s men, the ones who brought the suitcases, took out their guns.
"You can’t scare me with those, Your Highness. My men were also skilled with weapons. You’re not the only one being protected."
Caden let out a laugh, loud enough to echo in the penthouse.
"I think you don’t get it, Mr. Garcia. I’m not being protected by my men. They simply didn’t want me to taint my hands with a weakling’s blood like you."
Juliano frowned. "Blood? Do you really intend to hurt a well-known businessman like me?"
Caden started to unbutton his shirt, then he stood up and removed his coat. She was surprised to see two guns holstered around his waist. Elijah stepped forward and took Caden’s coat, then put another gun at his back.
Juliano’s eyes widened. He couldn’t blink and his face became pale when he saw Caden’s tattoos.
"Y–You are from the mafia!" Juliano exclaimed.
Caden grinned. "You know anyone from the mafia?" He said while fixing his shirt.
Juliano didn’t answer, but he was looking at Caden’s tattoos as if trying to remember something.
"A rose tattoo on the neck, a dragon tattoo and a skull on the chest. You’re from the Forelli Clan! How did you–"
"Sshh. I’m impressed you know our clan. I guess you really know someone from the mafia."
Rock stepped inside the room and stood beside Caden. "Boss, everything’s clear."
Juliano’s body trembled. "B–Boss? You’re the Boss of the Forelli Clan? The Prince of the Underworld?"
