My Ex-Husband Always Knew That I Had Cheated on Him-Chapter 316: Maggots That Can’t Stand the Light
"My son is the sole heir to the Johnson Clan Group. Rest assured, you won’t lack any benefits. From today onward, you will be fully responsible for my son’s treatment. Everyone remember this, from this moment on, except for... what’s your name?"
Gabriella Dyer was very satisfied with the man’s performance. After giving her instructions, she turned and commanded her subordinates.
"Oh, my name is William Taylor, Madam. You can just call me Taylor."
William Taylor hurried over, nodding and bowing obsequiously.
"Good, William Taylor. From this moment on, except for Dr. Taylor, no one is allowed to set foot in the ICU. Dr. Taylor, come out here for a moment."
After commanding her subordinates, Gabriella called William Taylor out again.
"Madam, whatever you need, just tell me."
William Taylor stood by the ward’s entrance, his head bowed and his back bent.
"Dr. Taylor, I’m someone who really appreciates talent. I believe you’re indeed a rare talent. Tomorrow, I’ll speak with Director Howard to promote you. Surely, it ought to be Chief Physician?"
Gabriella smiled, starting to win hearts over.
"Ch-Chief Physician?"
William Taylor raised his head abruptly, almost unable to believe his ears, even stammering.
"Of course. Now, do your job well, Dr. Taylor. I’m leaving my son to you. I have to go now."
Seeing William Taylor’s reaction, Gabriella was quite pleased and turned to leave.
As she walked out of the hospital, she immediately sent a message to Tyler Howard.
[Start tomorrow, make William Taylor a Chief Physician]
As soon as she sent the text, Tyler Howard called directly: "Mrs. Johnson, the Chief Physician position in this hospital has regulations. There’s no way to promote someone just like that, and tomorrow is too rushed."
"Tyler Howard, I entrusted you with this matter to solve it, not to put me in difficulty. The regulations for the Chief Physician position, how to promote? That’s your issue, not mine. If you, as the director, can’t handle this small thing, we might need a new director."
Gabriella laughed; a dog she had nurtured for so many years had now learned to bargain.
"No, Mrs. Johnson, that’s not what I meant. Don’t worry."
Tyler Howard hurriedly explained.
"If that’s not what you meant, then get it done."
Gabriella finished speaking and hung up the phone before Tyler Howard could respond.
Hearing the beep of the call being disconnected, Tyler Howard cursed aloud: "What the hell? Damn it, every day I’m just being ordered around. What bullshit rich and noble family, what Mrs. Johnson, they’re all maggots hiding in the dark..."
After venting, Tyler Howard felt somewhat relieved.
But he still had to do what needed to be done. There was no choice, Gabriella is Mrs. Johnson after all.
On the other side, after being driven out of the ICU, Chloe Simpson’s suspicions deepened.
"Chloe, what are you thinking?"
Emily Sterling, returning from the bathroom, opened her mouth to ask upon seeing Chloe lost in thought.
"Mom, I’m starting to suspect something..."
Chloe glanced at the ICU behind her and pulled Emily Sterling into a nearby corner.
"What? How could that be possible? What mother in the world would hurt her own child born after ten months of pregnancy?"
Emily Sterling listened, utterly disbelieving the suggestion.
"Mom, I can’t believe it either, but everything is just too suspicious now. Can you help me find Uncle Sam to investigate? After all, Alexander Johnson ended up like this saving me, so I can’t just watch him get in trouble!"
Chloe also didn’t want to believe it, but now Alexander Johnson’s safety was most critical.
