My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 674
Chapter 674
Anton had many experiences using his Prayer Aura to heal and knew that the said aura had the power to regenerate a lost limb. As a matter of fact, the first experiment in growing a limb was done on a man who became part of their family. Sadly, Connor was one of those who perished in the sinking of the Amelia when the Undead Coalition attacked the ship.
He also knew that the Prayer Aura could rival the most powerful healing spells of healing classes. The only thing it could not do was resurrect the dead. His list of spells did not include that overly powerful magic. The Necromancer skill tree did have some skills to revive, but those that were revived would turn into monsters.
Anton almost laughed when he saw Rhonda, Misul, Zelot, and Zelot’s father, Kelot, who was the one missing a leg, mouths open. After a couple of minutes, Kelot’s leg was back. Zelot’s father tested his leg by walking around. At first, he stumbled and kept falling, but after a few minutes, he regained his confidence in walking and was able to walk straight.
The next thing the man did was prostrate before Anton and his son, Zelot did the same while Rhoda and Misul watched with their mouths still open in shock.
“You are a powerful healer. We don’t have the coins to pay you, my lord,” Zelot’s father said while tears poured from the man’s eyes.
“Please stand up. You’re making me uncomfortable. I told you, it’s my payment for letting me stay in your caravan for a night. Besides, it’s an easy magic for me. Why didn’t you go to a healer to have it healed?” Anton asked.
Zelot and his father joined him on the bench where they were sitting.
“It costs 10 low-level mana stones to regrow a limb, and even if you manage to acquire that kind of wealth, healers would not simply heal you and have to queue, but to be able to take a number, you will still need a connection that we simply don’t have,” Zelot said.
“Are you really a Supreme Rank wizard? How old are you?” Rhonda asked.
Anton just rolled his eyes but nodded. He also answered Rhonda’s question and told the girl he was eighteen. Rhonda looked unbelieving again.
Zelot, his father, and Misul kept looking at Kelot’s new leg. After the man had calmed down, Zelot started running around the caravan to show off his newly restored leg. Anton could hear the exclamation of the people who had seen Kelot’s new leg, but Anton wondered why Kelot's injury remained.
He doubted that the Caravan did not have the influence to have someone heal their members’ injuries. More than likely, there was more to the story than the surface information he was told, but Anton did not want to dig deep, since he would only stay in the artists’ caravan that night.
When night arrived, the park was suddenly filled with music and dancing, as expected in a caravan filled with artists. The food that was served was delicious, and a full-blown party had started. Rhonda told Anton that this happened every night, although that night, alcohol came out due to everyone celebrating Kelot’s being healed.
At first, Anton expected to be bothered by a lot of people needing to be healed for their ailments, but thankfully, it did not happen. He knew that his supposition that the artists were capable of finding their own healer might be correct and that there were mitigating circumstances regarding Kelot remaining crippled. Again, Anton did not care, so he did not bother to investigate.
The party slowed down at around midnight, and soon Anton went inside Zelot’s wagon to rest. For some reason, Zelot and his father did not join him, saying that they wanted to continue talking to the other members of the caravan. He just shrugged and started watching an anime. Once he was sleepy, Anton slept.
He woke up at around three in the morning and saw Zelot and his father sleeping in the wagon. He shook Zelot awake and told the young man that he would be leaving. He did not even know if it registered since it looked like Zelot was drunk.
Anton shrugged and left the caravan. Technically, it was still nighttime time but the streets were not that dark since there were street lights on the road. He flew up to check where he needed to go to the beach, and once he knew the way, he flew down immediately, since he did not want to cause any trouble. He did not know if the wizards of New Drennor would be able to detect someone flying inside their kingdom. He thought that they might be able to, since Mendoza, a much smaller kingdom, could.
He wondered what Rhonda and the others’ reactions would be when they found out he was gone, but he did tell them that he would only be staying for the night. The only reason he stayed with them and did not rent a room in the many hotels and inns in the kingdom was that he was curious where the artists and performers were staying.
Anton concluded that their lifestyle could be fun, but he was still averse to living in such a condition since he spent a lot of time in carriages back in Rendindura when he was running with his family from the undead.
While walking in the streets of New Drennor during the wee hours of the morning, Anton found that the empty streets of the kingdom had a beauty that entranced him. It did not give him a feeling of dread, like walking in the middle of a dead city or something of that sort. The kingdom was very much alive. He could see some people already preparing for the day, like bakers, and a few stores were starting to set up their wares for the day. The image that came to his mind was like a beautiful lady asleep, but she was starting to wake up. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
At around five in the morning, he saw a bakery that was already selling its wares. He bought a few bread that were fresh from the oven and started eating while walking. He drank cold fruit juice from his inventory.
Anton’s store of food in his inventory was immense since he never stopped purchasing food that he fancied, and he always bought a lot. If he were being honest, he could probably survive alone on an island for decades with the food and drinks that he had in his inventory.
Once he was near the high-end resort, Anton did not bother to register and simply cast the Invisibility spell. It was one of the earlier spells that he had already memorized but rarely used. He was curious enough to check if the Invisibility spell was among the spells that he had purchased, and it was, which was a little waste of coin. Once he was back in the Rose Manor, he would simply give it to Kirk. His decision to purchase a lot of support spells was a good idea. The only thing he needed to do was to review which ones he had, which he kept putting off, since there were hundreds of them in his inventory.
At first, Anton was worried that he would trigger some defensive spells that surrounded the high-end beach resort, but he thought that he was far enough away, but he did entered the water without any more delay after casting his Underwater Breathing spell.
