The prime immortal beast sealed by Shinou’s higher-ups was an extraterrestrial monster that resembled a giant asteroid squid with a size four times larger than Xentia’s flagship-class space battleship.

Under the fierce assault from dozens of otherworldly experts under Elysia’s command, the asteroid squid was successfully defeated in less than ten minutes since the sealed domain was destroyed.

More than thirty people survived and were rescued. Unfortunately, their condition was not very good. They had to maintain the seal for four years with no break, and it caused severe backlashes.

"I, on behalf of Shinou, convey our utmost sincere gratitude for your assistance, honorable envoys." The Shinou Master clasped his fist to represent his people to express their gratitude.

It took them four years, but these envoys killed the prime immortal beast and its minions in just several minutes. The difference in strength was too great, but it gave them relief because they finally could breathe fresh air. The monster invaders had probably been completely eradicated from the Heaven Realm and the era of restoration had finally arrived!

"We’re not envoys, just travelers who happen to be passing by. The heavenly war against the immortal beast invaders is still going on in the upper layers." Gaia pointed to the sky above.

"W-what?!" The Shinou Master was shocked, and so were the brave warriors behind him.

They paid a heavy price just to deal with a horde of monsters, but the countless others were still present in the higher sky!

At that moment, they caught sight of the Goddess of Fate and Fortune as she was famous and well-known as the higher divinity in the Divine Palace. They looked at her for an answer.

"I can’t say it to represent anything, but the refugees are placed in safe places in the 6th and 7th layers. The 4th and 5th have become deadly battlefields, but the lower layers are pretty much empty. You can proceed to your sect restoration. The war is nearing its end." Fortuna tried to reassure them, although she wasn’t too sure about her claim.

"..." Gaia felt a little awkward. She was famous in Heaven, but it was a long time ago. As for now, only the high-rank Gods could recognize her...

Since the high-rank Goddess of the Divine Palace had already spoken, the Shinou Master and the remaining survivors could only accept it and try to restore their sect from the ruins. Many people ran away and probably fled to a safe place in the higher sky, but their holy land shouldn’t fall, and that reason made them fight all out with huge sacrifices to protect their land by trapping the otherworldly monsters.

Such a method was used by many factions in the lower layers as they also had to buy time for the bigger factions in the higher sky to resolve the crisis.

Despite knowing that, Elysia didn’t wish to go and bring her people to save people everywhere. Elysia threw the last squid minions to the Helven Realm as this kind of otherwordly monster would be useful to nurture her monster army. She then looked at Gaia and Fortuna as they were exchanging words with the Shinou Master and other higher-ups.

Erina’s mother, Tenma Kikyou, was among the survivors. As a part of the nobility and Tenyo of Shinou, the heavenly woman, she obviously would choose to co-exist with her origin and would not run away just to save herself. She was supported by her husband, Oiwa Kazoku. Both of them were in bad shape with a qi deviation state.

"Gio, please chop the prime immortal beast into smaller pieces and place them in the army’s warehouse." Elysia pointed to the massive dead monster.

"Hum." Gio saluted. This high-level otherwordly monster meat was a valuable resource to nurture his subordinates. Although the shell was like stone and not edible, the meat inside was of high quality.

After handing over the responsibility to Gio and leaving the clean-up to her people, Elysia flew up to the spaceship, landing beside Erina.

"Eriri, she’s over there. Don’t you want to see her?" Elysia whispered softly, glancing at Erina’s complex expression while observing Tenma Kikyou.

"She has her own family. I shouldn’t meet her and ruin her relationship with her spouse." Erina sighed and shook her head.

Her mother was truly a noble angel, a four-winged kin with a high status in the Tenma Clan and the Tennyo of Shinou. She was satisfied after seeing her mother once even though it was from afar.

"What about your father’s letters?" Elysia recalled Erina had promised it to Kenji.

"Ely, what should I do? I don’t know whether it’s better to let things move on or bring it up in the name of keeping my promise." Erina was dismayed as she was unable to decide.

"If your heart doesn’t want to cause a drama, then we can let the things unfold without our interference. It might be a spur of the moment, but they won’t be able to be together. The time already heals the scar." Elysia twisted the issue as she felt it was better to maintain the status quo. Erina’s father and mother literally separated and built their own happy family.

"Mm, you’re right... they both made their choices." Erina looked up at the sky as she stretched her body, feeling a bit relieved.

She then took out her father’s letters and gave them to Elysia. "As for my father’s letters, they will be my artifact. Ely, please read some of them for me."

"He said not to read them, right? You even promised him..." Elysia was taken aback.

"I won’t read it. You will read it, Master Ely~ Listening won’t break my promise. I’m a girl with high integrity." Erina patted her chest, revealing the loophole in her promise to her father.

"You naughty girl. I wonder where you learned this kind of wordplay." Elysia smiled in amusement. She then opened one of the letters, reading some to Erina via telepathy.

It was only a few minutes, but Erina couldn’t bear hearing a lovesick man’s poetic letters. As it became too cringe, she asked Elysia to stop as she truly couldn’t bear to hear more than that.

"Too bad. That’s a pretty good poetic love letter. I once wrote something like this before." Elysia returned the letters to Erina.

"Huh? May I know who you sent the love letter to?" Erina was curious.

"Well, that’s a bad memory, and got scammed big by her." Elysia scratched her head, feeling embarrassed as she remembered her past stupidity.

"Hmm~ but you’re so popular now. If I may ask, please exchange love letters with me. I’ll reply to you in kind." Erina intertwined her fingers, asking shyly.

"It will be a pretty rough one as I’m not a smooth talker."

"No, you were born as a good talker."

"If you say so..."

Elysia and Erina chatted happily for a while as they joked and discussed things like two chirping birds.

Elysia tried to comfort Erina because she thought Erina would feel confused and mixed up, but apparently, it was unnecessary because Erina decided not to get involved in Kikyou’s life.

"Ely, I won’t ask you anything. Just don’t ever abandon me..." Erina leaned her head on Elysia’s shoulder.

"Why would I abandon you, my beautiful golden diva? You’re already mine." Elysia held out her hand.

Erina held Elysia’s hand tightly with relief. "Thank you."

"But, it’s still not right to just leave like that. Let’s greet her and give her a little souvenir." Elysia pulled Erina’s hand and teleported to the land below.

"E-eh?" Erina was stunned, but she was already standing near her mother, and her mother stared at her too. It was like a nature call, the bloodline resonance that made their gazes locked at each other’s eyes.

"..." Kikyou widened her eyes. It was a faint hunch, but she felt her attention was drawn to this brown-haired young lady. It was as if they were related, probably a relative.

"Sshhh..." Elysia pressed her finger to her lips.

Kikyou and Erina had so many similarities in appearance, but the mother was a noble angel who prided herself too highly. This noble angel might just treat the incident in the mortal world as a mistake, but since Kikyou had made a choice with a clear stance, then it should stay as it was, just like what Erina had said.

"We finally meet, Lady Tenma Kikyou. It’s been a while... it’s truly a relief to see you are safe and sound. Worry not, the plan to restore the peace will commence soon. They won’t keep you waiting for long." Elysia pointed to the sky.

Although she didn’t plan to save people everywhere, her group would still provide a helping hand to assist the Divine Palace in resolving the crisis, especially in the 5th and 6th layers. If these otherwordly prime immortal beasts passed her requirements, she would try to recruit them to her monster army, and if not, they could still become the nourishment for her monster army and stepping stones for her people!

"H-hello..." Erina tensed up and stuttered. She bowed slightly to greet her mother, but somehow, she felt she had become a girl who had to greet her mother-in-law for the first time.

"H-hum..." Kikyou gulped and nodded by reflex.

"Please accept this amulet. Our encounter is destined, so don’t ever fall easily." Elysia shoved a protective amulet into Kikyou’s hand. It would be useful to keep Erina’s mother safe even from the onslaught of thousands of otherworldly monsters.

After finishing with the matter, she felt that it was time for them to leave. Erina also did not want to say any more words to Kikyou. Therefore, they left without even waiting for Kikyou’s response.

"Kikyou, do you know them? Who is that black-haired Human Goddess? And why did she give you a high-tier defensive amulet all of a sudden?" Oiwa Kazoku asked in wonder, but his gaze never left the said black-haired Human Goddess.

"They are our friends from a faraway land..." Kikyou held her tears without knowing the reason. She felt all of a sudden, but she kept thinking that the brown-haired young lady was someone close to her.

Somehow, she couldn’t help but recall her past mistakes in the mortal world. But, the secret was buried far in the depths of her heart as she couldn’t afford to let it known to anyone.
