He then took out the pen drive and put it back in.

'I'll get the details of those experts within the next two days from Emma, so I just need to collect as many KPs as possible until then,' Jin thought.

Several assassin rank missions were also available now, and there was also one rank 4 mission on the app, which was the highest available mission.

'So is this kind of like a selection mission?' Jin couldn't help but think to himself when he glanced at that mission before diverting his focus towards the many lower-rank missions.

He needed to lie low so as not to attract the organisation's attention, so he chose a few ranks 9 missions which concerned taking care of a few bureaucrats, media officials and businessmen without leaving any traces.

Along with that, he also accepted a few Killer rank missions since they would provide him with easy Kill Points.

So, after an hour of surfing the application, Yi Chen had fully scheduled himself for the next two days.

He then went through the provided data about all his targets while working out a suitable action plan in his mind.

By late afternoon, he was all finished with the preparation and finally left his hotel building.

Though they didn't openly state the reason, Mark could guess that one of the many reasons they rejected him was because he had come along with his five-year-old daughter.

His girlfriend had gone to her parents' place because of an emergency, and he was forced to take care of her. With his meagre pay as a part-timer, he couldn't afford to drop her off at a daycare today, so he had decided to bring her with him today.

'…If only I did not have her at that time,' Mark sighed to himself as he glanced at his daughter, who was throwing a tantrum while being carried on his arms.

Because of his girlfriend's early, unwanted pregnancy in college, not only was he forced to drop out of college, but he was also disowned by his parents.

If he could, then he would have gone to the past to prevent that mistake from ever happening.

'At least then my life wouldn't have been so difficult…' he thought with disappointment.

"Daddy! Daddy! Let me downnnn," his daughter kept whining as they moved through a crowd of people.

He finally couldn't handle the irritation in his heart and burst out while placing her on the ground, "Here! Happy?! Now go and walk home by yourself!"

Seeing her father, who was always so nice to her, suddenly scold her like this, Daisy felt scared and angry at the same time.

She couldn't help but burst out in tears the very next moment and ran towards her right, "I hate daddy!"

"Daisy, wait!" Seeing her rushing into the crowd of people, Mark tried to stop her, but was too late. He ran after her, but it being the evening rush hour, he soon lost track of Daisy.

Meanwhile, after running for a minute, Daisy had stopped in the middle of the crowd of men who were returning from their office and was crying all by herself.

"Are you lost, little girl?" a middle-aged man with greasy hair and an expensive suit asked while placing his hand on Diasy's shoulder.

"Y-Yes…my father…" Daisy started bawling her eyes out, hoping for the man to help her out.

"Ah, don't worry. Come with me. I'll take you to your father, alright?" the man said while caressing Daisy's petite shoulder with his thumb as an iniquitous glint appeared in his eyes.

"You know where my father is?" Daisy asked hopefully.

"Of course I know. I'm helping him find you. Come now, you don't want him to go away, right?" The man asked with a playful tone and reached his hand towards her.

"No! Please take me to my father," Daisy tightly gripped the man's hand and followed after him the next moment.

A satisfied smile formed on his face as he soon walked out of the crowd of people and entered an underground car park.

"Uncle…where is my father?" Daisy hesitantly asked, seeing that there was no one around them now.

"Oh, he's right there," the man pointed towards a black sedan with tinted glass that was parked a few meters away, "He's waiting for you inside it. Let's go then, shall we?"

The man pressed his car's key fob, and the car's doors were unlocked.

Seeing this, Daisy's face brightened as she rushed towards the car in a hurry.

"Uncle, hurry! Open the door!" She called out the man who was slowly walking towards her in a leisurely manner.

"Yes, yes, I'm coming," the man said with a grin and made his way towards her while keeping an eye on his surroundings.

Seeing that no one was nearby, he finally let go of all pretences and grabbed Daisy's hand tightly to shove her inside his car.

However, the moment he opened the door, he found a gun's barrel pointing straight at his head.

A bullet pierced through his head, and within seconds, life disappeared from his eyes.

"Scum," Jin snorted to himself. This guy was one of the many businessmen on his kill list today. Jin wanted to deal with him a little more cleanly, but seeing what he was planning to do, he couldn't hold himself back any longer.

His gaze then went towards the child, who was still trying to process everything. Jin tapped a spot on her neck the next moment, and she lost her consciousness.

Soon, he dragged the man's body into the trunk of the sedan and, after placing Daisy in the backseat, drove the car to the nearby police station.

An hour later, Mark was called to the police station. His entire being was in a mess, and his face was filled with worries.

It was clear that the last few hours had been very tormenting for him, and he was filled with self-blame and remorse.

"Daddy!"

However, the moment he heard Daisy's voice, his entire being was reinvigorated, and he called her back with relief, "Daisy!"

He tightly wrapped her in his arms and apologised profusely while kissing all over her face, "Daddy's sorry for shouting at you earlier. I'll never shout at you…"

Seeing her father like this and being bombarded with dozens of affectionate kisses, a pleased smile formed on Daisy's cute face.

Meanwhile, Jin had long left the police station and was busy handling rest of the missions.
