My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 113: Stop.
"What are you looking at?"
"You." Aaron replied with a dazed expression on his face, blinking and coughing into his palm, "Was looking if you got wounded. Are you alright?"
Claire grinned, walking closer to him and hugging his waist as she pecked him on the lips before separating, "Nothing that I can’t handle. Though~ bestie, a minor heal, please? I got slight scratches~"
She turned to her best friend, Eva, mischief and amusement dancing in her oceanic eyes as she looked at her ’sister wife’.
Eva looked back, eyelids twitching and slight jealousness bubbling within her chest as she clicked her tongue, "It’s on cooldown." she replied.
"Oh really?" Claire didn’t mind it too much, as she only asked for it to piss her love rival, rather than an actual need for healing.
"Well, I’m bringing my boyfriend on the next raid." Katie disclosed with a solemn nod.
"Didn’t he die on the second floor?" With an absolute lack of tact, Jaq asked curiously.
Katie’s eyelids twitched, her fists clenching slightly, "Shut up."
"So rude~ And to think I was the one that saved your ass. Tsk, Lia, you should teach your underling, she’s too rude to her savior." Jaq shook her head.
Holding back a laugh, Lia coughed, "She’s not my underling."
"My bad my bad, teach your misbehaving daughter."
"Jaq, one more word and I’ll pummel you into the ground. Don’t test my patience." Katie hissed.
"Ehh, you’re too slow to catch me. I might even end up punching you back like that bull before you reach me. Oof, that will hurt, even Eva might not be heal you ba–"
"That’s it–" Katie, enraged lunged at Jaq to beat the playful purple haired beauty, or well she would’ve done so if Claire didn’t grab her back.
After all, only Claire had the sufficient strength to hold back a raging Katie.
"Stop ragebaiting her like a child, Jaq. Need I remind you that you 3 are in the same car? If you don’t want your lovely seats to get scratched and destroyed, I suggest you stop." Eva advised with good intentions.
A shiver went down Jaq’s spine when she heard Eva’s threat.
"Hey... I was just joking... please don’t, it’s expensive as fuck..." She instantly looked at Katie, her eyes wide and panicked.
"I might consider it if you get on your knees and say sorry to me 10 times." Katie, now not struggling against Claire’s hold, replied in a pissed off tone.
Jaq didn’t appreciate the suggestion however, a cold smile appearing on her lips as she fished out the specialized metallic mana conductive string out of her pouch at the waist, "I might just tie you up and throw you in the trunk instead." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Stop." At Claire’s single exhausted sigh, both parties stopped glaring at each other and scoffed.
"Let’s just go. Good job guys. Also, Katie, you better be careful next time or I will take you to a ground for some personal training till you learn the meaning of restraint." Claire threatened with a cold gaze, making Katie cough and nod shamefully.
She was the only one that didn’t perform her job properly, since all the rest of her teammates aced in the battle.
Hell, even the new addition Aaron didn’t make a single mistake as he initiated his skill at an absolute end moment and maximised the amount of time they could get.
Sure, his task was infinitely easier than hers but she didn’t let that excuse deter her.
"Don’t worry about it." She nodded calmly to Claire, making her nod back and twirl backwards, walking towards her own car while entangling one arm with Aaron’s.
He smiled when she felt her arm around himself, tightening it before he got a sudden idea and swept her off her feet with a single yelp coming from her mouth.
"You must be tired." he whispered, making her blush furiously.
"I-I can walk. I am fine." she said, flustered when she found her friend’s eyes land on her, but Aaron didn’t care.
He only minded a little bit that Eva felt jealous, but it was her choice that she didn’t want their relationship to be public just yet.
There was nothing he could do to appease her when she wasn’t comfortable with it.
With her blushing all the way, Aaron opened the car’s backdoor and put her on the backseat so she could lay down properly while he sat into the driving seat to drive.
After reversing it out of the alley, Eva got into the passenger seat beside him with an impassive expression, waiting for her teammates to get their car out as well.
Claire disliked being put into the backseat, but she understood why he did so. She really was tired, as she leaned her head back and yawned, blasting the AC at the full speed.
She turned both the rear air vents toward herself, letting the cold air cool off her sweat as she got comfortable and took her phone out.
"Aaron’s skill is nearly off cooldown so let’s just hunt another big boy. He’s not that far and is an orc, the fight would more or less be the same. Hell it might be easier since orcs don’t go berserk as much.
They are too stupid to have that much rage and pride. At most he will just scream like a dying pig." She spoke with a dismissive tone, chuckling to herself as she imagined the bigger and buffer version of greenskins.
"Good idea." Jaq chimed in through the sound system of her car, "Lead the way, leader’s lover!"
"You can call me just Aaron." Aaron laughed slightly.
"Okay lead the way just Aaron." Jaq replied quickly.
Aaron laughed louder in response and requested Claire to open the directions on the car’s tablet, something that Eva did wordlessly.
Still pissed but silent, she simply played metal music in the background at low volume and leaned back into her seat.
Aaron refrained from talking as well, driving while following the gps through the destroyed city as Jaq’s SUV followed after him.
On their way to their second hunt out of many to come...
