My Little Sweet Wife-Chapter 636 - Blame Yourself For Not Thinking There Will Be A Day When You Regret It
Chapter 636 - Blame Yourself For Not Thinking There Will Be A Day When You Regret It
The nanny lowered her head and looked at Qin Wenqian, who was behind her legs.
"Daddy loves you so much. Come to daddy's place and listen to my explanation, okay?" Qin Gengxin's smile remained unchanged as he called out his daughter.
"Qianqian, do you know this man?" The nanny squatted down and grabbed Qin Wenqian, who was hiding behind her legs, to her arms and staring into her eyes.
Qin Wenqian looked down and did not speak.
"Qianqian?" The nanny felt a little strange. Usually, this child will laugh, especially at anyone she meets. She will greet everyone politely, so why was she acting abnormally today?
Qin Wenqian slowly shook her head.
"Don't know him?" She asked.
"Grandma, let's go inside." Qin Wenqian didn't answer her question, she only spoke in a low voice and her voice carried a begging tone.
"Alright ..." The nanny looked at the tall, thin, and handsome man standing in front of the door with suspicion and alertness. Hugging the child tightly in her arms, she quickly walked up the stairs and politely said, "Sir, I'm sorry, please step aside. I need to open the door."
Sighing, Qin Gengxin took out his phone and opened the gallery, searching for him and Xian Guiying's wedding photos. He then handed it to the nanny. "I'm Xian Guiying's husband, and because of some misunderstanding, she brought our daughter with her to Wuyuan. I've been looking for them for a long time. I know this situation is too sudden, but I'm really Qianqian's father."
The nanny hesitated for a moment but still hugged the child tightly and whispered, "Sir, I'm really sorry, but this photo is useless to me. I'm just responsible for sending the child home safely, making dinner for her and then when her mother comes back, I'll go. And a photo like this can be photoshop as if it's real, how can I tell if it's genuine or fake…"
Qin Gengxin looked at her without a word, his thin lips pursed tightly. He then looked at Qin Wenqian, who was hiding in the nanny's arms without turning to look at him, then took out his identity card and said, "This is my identity card. My family name is Qin, Qianqian's surname is also Qin."
The nanny sighed and pushed away the identity card, "Sir, as I said, the proof you gave me is useless to me. I am responsible for sending the child home safely, so I can't let her come in contact with strangers casually. Plus, the child doesn't even know you."
She looked impatiently towards him. She then walked past Qin Gengxin and opened the door before leading the child into the house and quickly closed the door.
After closing the door, the nanny sighed in relief, but after thinking it over again, as a woman, if the man really had bad intentions, he would certainly have a chance to enter when she opened the door a moment ago, or to take the child away, but he did not.
To be polite and produce evidence, it seemed that he was a genuine person.
And Qin Wenqian, this child was really abnormal today ...
"Qianqian, go wash your hands. Grandma will cut some fruit for you." The nanny placed the child's school bag on the floor and led her to the couch.
Qin Wenqian obediently went to the couch and pulled out her cute little phone. She held it in her hand, thinking of something.
"Qianqian, what's wrong?" The nanny squatted down and hugged her gently. "Did you know that uncle from before?"
Qin Wenqian's head was lowered and she held her phone without saying a word. However, her eyes slowly turned red.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying? Be good, grandma will cut fruit for you. I saw your favorite cherry in the fridge yesterday. Grandma will wash it and cut it for you, okay? Stop crying, stop crying, you are a good child." The nanny rubbed her small head, then hurriedly went to the kitchen.

Wei Zhengsheng was chatting with the boss of a jade artifact shop near Xian Guiying's when his phone suddenly rang.
When he saw the caller ID, he was shocked. Then he smiled and answered the call. "Hello, Qianqian? Have you returned from kindergarten?"
However, after a long silence, the smile on Wei Zhengsheng's face slowly faded. "Qianqian, what's wrong?"
"Uncle Wei." Qin Wenqian's voice choked with tears. "Where are you?"
"What's wrong? Do you miss uncle? Uncle will come and see you tonight."
"Uncle Wei, can you come to my house to eat cherries now? My mother is not at home, so I will treat you with cherries."
Wei Zhengsheng frowned when he heard the child's words. He turned to look at Xian Guiying, who was greeting customers. Just as he was about to go towards her, the child's voice was heard again, "Don't tell mommy. I don't want her to be unhappy."
Wei Zhengsheng's footsteps immediately stopped and he understood the meaning of the child's words. He looked towards Xian Guiying and slowly put down his phone.
Fifteen minutes later.
Wei Zhengsheng walked up the stairs and saw Qin Gengxin sitting on the edge of a dusty old concrete staircase with his back leaning against a wall that was covered with all sorts of posters. He was holding his cell phone and identification card in one hand and his other hand rested on his knee.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Qin Gengxin immediately looked up. A self-deprecating look appeared on his face. "Don't tell me, it was my daughter who called you here."
Wei Zhengsheng walked over to him and stood by his feet. He looked down at the man who had lost his usual unrestrained attitude and his dejected looks. "That child is very sensitive, you should know that."
Qin Gengxin laughed. He raised his hand to rub his forehead, stroking his short hair before taking a deep breath. "Right. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left her three years ago."
As he spoke, his voice suddenly became hoarse. He put his hands on his knees and sat up straight, no longer leaning against the wall.
Wei Zhengsheng sat down next to him and said lightly, "You should blame yourself for not thinking there will be a day when you regret it. The child is fragile and sensitive, and you didn't even show up when she desperately needed you."
"Tch ..." Qin Gengxin looked away and scoffed. "I'm so annoyed with your smug expression."
Then, he sighed.
Wei Zhengsheng smiled. "I'm very curious. Guiying has been by your side for ten years and obediently waited for two years after the marriage, why can't you just let Jiang Ruolan go and stop hurting her? It's no use talking about this anymore, you are still too late."
Qin Gengxin held his forehead with one hand and sighed in frustration. "It's not that I can't let Jiang Ruolan go. Actually, when I found out that she was married to Xian Zihao and when I saw how he was hugging her bloody body at that time and hearing him saying, 'Ruolan, don't be afraid.' I'd already let her go. If you like someone and have been waiting for her for a long time, it will become a habit that you can't break. The feeling of unwillingness when your supposed to be wife was stolen by your good brother."
He raised his head and said lightly, "When I saw the girl, who had been bullied since she was young, was well protected by Xian Zihao, and that she was quite happy with him, I had really let her go."
"Is that so?" Wei Zhengsheng chuckled, "Then why can't you love Guiying, instead of blaming and hating her for something that wasn't completely her fault?"
