My Mansion of Gorgeous Maids in Another World-Chapter 29: The World Tree
Chapter 29: The World Tree
Mia’s voice filled the chamber. "Most races are granted a guardian to shield their people, their lands, and their lineage. For elves, it’s the World Tree. We are its protectors, but no one could ever defeat it—so long as the World Tree stands, the elves will endure in Fayralia."
So basically, the World Tree’s the elves’ power source—they’ll never die as long as it’s standing.
Jett tilted his head. "Okay, say the elves actually went extinct—how would new ones come about?"
"By the will of the World Tree itself, Master Jett," Mia replied, her pride swelling.
Jett nodded and held up a hand. He wasn’t in the mood for more elven lore—he wanted to test the new feature and see his maids’ rewards.
"Alright, let’s check out your gifts," he said. "Step into the summoning circle, Mia."
"As you command, Master Jett." Mia bowed deeply and moved into the glowing ring.
The light was so intense it turned her golden hair to a brilliant blue, and Jett got a brief glimpse of how she’d look in that hue.
"Not bad in blue, if you ask me," he said.
Noctlisa grunted. "Aye, she does."
Mia knelt and summoned her mana, pouring it into the circle. Instantly, the light shifted from blue to emerald, and motes like spinning leaves drifted around her on a gentle breeze. Mia closed her eyes, a soft smile touching her lips as the best memories of her forest home washed over her.
Even Jett—who was usually distracted by lust—felt only happiness for her in that moment.
Then the breeze raged into a storm, snatching the floating leaves into a tornado. The wind whipped Mia’s hair into a banner behind her, and her skirt billowed against her legs. She stood firm, staring wide-eyed at the whirlwind.
With a crack, the tornado shattered and revealed a naked woman, her intimate parts artfully veiled by branches and leaves. Her emerald hair resembled a tangle of foliage, her golden eyes shone bright, and her expression combined sharp wisdom with gentle warmth. Her plump curves and full breasts hinted at succulent delicacy.
Jett stroked his chin. "Looks like she’s the World Tree, then."
Noctlisa gave a slow nod. "...Aye."
...
The personification of the World Tree descended into the circle to honor Mia.
"I find myself unable to bow, great World Tree," Mia said, eyes locked on the woman’s golden gaze. "I have my Master, to whom I have sworn my loyalty and heart. Please greet my Master before I offer you my hospitality."
"My child," the World Tree said, her voice as calm as a forest breeze. "Thy Master and I have granted but one decree: I must not breathe a whisper of this encounter to any mortal ear. Speak unbound."
Mia inclined her head. "Understood." She offered a low curtsy. "On behalf of every elf who has ever walked Fayralia, I offer you our deepest gratitude for your protection and blessings."
The World Tree laughed, its voice a murmuring of leaves. "I too extend my gratitude. Hail, newly appointed head maid of the Warden, Jett Talon. Thou and thy kin have fed the Warden with one of my precious seeds."
There must be depths to this seed yet unseen, Mia thought, her brow furrowing with concern.
"Could you elucidate this matter, for the sake of Master Jett?" she asked, her voice soft with deference.
"Fear not, for no ill shall my seed bring upon thee," the World Tree intoned. "Former wardens have sought to ingest it and faltered, but thy Warden prevailed. As his influence extendeth across the world, more shall be revealed to thee and thy Master. May he stand firm against the Harbinger—and the Chronicler."
"Chronicler?!" Mia’s voice rose.
"Sufficient for this moment," World Tree suddenly declared, "I shall bestow your reward."
She stirred the seed within Mia. Mia felt a sudden thump in her right breast, a warmth spreading deep inside.
"My seed, now nestled within thee, shall at last take root and bloom," the World Tree intoned, her voice resonating like ancient boughs stirring.
Mia’s heart leapt. This can’t be real—how is that possible?
"But one nourishment sufficeth—thy Master’s untarnished mana," the World Tree added, a knowing smirk curling her lips. A second tornado spiraled before dissipating into silence.
Mia stood motionless, awe in her voice. "Thank you... very much..."
...
Until we convene again, O Warden Jett Talon.
Jett heard the World Tree’s final words fade away.
"Well, she’s gone," he said. "We didn’t catch it all, but that was pretty promising—and a bit of a surprise, huh?"
Mia remained frozen, her surprise plain.
He turned to Noctlisa. "Does she have elf ears or what? Can’t for the life of me remember."
Noctlisa fixed him with a heavy stare.
Jett scratched the back of his head. "Hey, can you blame me for eyeballing her chest when she’s standing there buck naked?"
"No," Noctlisa replied bluntly.
She’d had just enough time to notice that the World Tree’s avatar looked every bit an elf—long ears and all. And if Jett hadn’t seen them, did that mean his eyes had lingered only on her face before drifting down her deep valley?
Noctlisa stole another glance at Jett, then quickly averted her eyes.
At last, Mia returned to Jett’s side, awe and shock still coursing through her—but her loyal heart compelled her to bow neatly before her Master. Jett’s gaze drifted once more to another deep valley before he grinned and ruffled her hair.
"Bet you got something good," he said with a playful smirk. "Congrats."
"Yes, Master Jett," Mia exclaimed, her voice trembling with excitement. "I have achieved the impossible: the seed of the World Tree may sprout—and it requires only Your semen deep within me to flourish!"
Jett burst into laughter. "That’s perfect! A little... friction to grow stronger—nice perk. But don’t tell me that’s the norm around here?"
"Not at all," Mia replied, bowing her head. "It is whispered that even the second World Tree’s seed could never sprout—until now."
