MY Masochistic CEO-Chapter 133 office jealousy
"Why is she trying to seduce me in the elevator? Is she trying to get me into trouble?" Just then, a cough came from the corner, and it was Melody! I didn’t dare to turn my head, but I could see Melody’s indifferent expression through the mirrored wall of the elevator.
"Grace, please, there are so many people here, don’t be so presumptuous, okay?" I said.
She smirks. "What, do you think this young lady is not good enough for you?"
"You do, you do, but it’s not appropriate here..."
She snickered, realizing that we were in a crowded elevator with colleagues. She grabbed me once more and then took a step back, remarking. "Look at you, putting on a tough act!" Damn, she was teasing me.
Melody’s expression grew even colder. I was in deep trouble. The elevator arrived. I wanted to explain to Melody, but last night, we agreed not to reveal our relationship at work.
She walked faster in her high heels, "clack, clack," even louder than usual.
I glared at Grace. "Don’t be so mischievous next time: it’s not good for appearances!"
Grace smirked. "Sorry, but with all your impressive gear, I’m curious to see just how tough you really are!"
"Just you wait, I’ll make you cry."
I gave her a firm pat on the backside before striding inside. Walking into the office alongside Grace at this moment would be disastrous!
"Ms. Wilson, here’s the breakfast you asked me to bring."
Melody used to request breakfast from me, so mentioning it now didn’t trigger any suspicions.
With a stern expression, she stated, "I don’t want it!" I offered a wry smile, remained silent, and placed the breakfast on her desk, only for her to promptly discard it into the trash can.
’Damn, I bought this especially for you.’
I knew her proud princess temperament was acting up again.
Spotting this, the others were also giving me these half-smirks. Paul stepped forward. "Damn, did you offend this lady again?"
"Ah, being a deputy isn’t easy." I sighed.
Grace covered her mouth, giggling. "Feeling wronged? Come to me, I’ll comfort you."
I thought to myself, ’If it weren’t for you, would I have to endure Melody’s cold face?’
Of course, I couldn’t say that.
I wondered if I should send a message to explain, but at that moment, Jessica walked in.
She was clad in a professional skirt, wearing white high heels on her feet, and her long legs were encased in nude stockings.
However, what caught everyone’s attention was her radiant appearance - her fair skin had a rosy hue, and her eyes exuded vitality.
Many were left in awe.
The sound of swallowing saliva filled the room, and Paul was also surprised. "Wow, Ms. Lawrence looks different today, she’s so beautiful! You can tell she was pampered last night. Who’s the lucky person?"
Despite the insult, I felt a sense of satisfaction. I almost wanted to proudly declare that I had taken care of Jessica. Today’s Jessica was irresistibly charming, exuding the allure of a woman with every move she made.
She was definitely a figure that drew attention from all.
Reflecting on taking matters into my own hands last night, I felt a rush of satisfaction. This woman seemed like a hidden treasure just waiting to be discovered by me.
Grace sent a message: [You heartless guy, I dressed up so innocently for you, and you didn’t even compliment me.]
I replied: [With so many people in the elevator, how could I compliment you? Are you afraid that others wouldn’t know?]
Grace: [Well, I don’t care. I want you to pamper me!]
I rubbed my nose: she was really a little demon.
William: [How do you want me to pamper you?]
Grace: [My heart hurts!]
William: [Do you want a massage?]
Grace: [Okay!]
She sent a shy expression.
Grace: [Noon, rooftop, don’t be late!]
I glanced at her, and the flirtatious woman continued to throw seductive glances my way. I felt a pang of concern, thinking, ’This could lead to trouble. What if Lily notices the scent of her perfume?’
William: [How about tonight?] 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
I replied: [How about I treat you to dinner as the host?]
Grace: [Great, that’s a deal! I want to go to the Gourmet Glitterati!]
What?
You want to go to the Gourmet Glitterati?
What are you thinking? A meal there costs thirty to forty grand.
William: [You think I’m a wealthy man? How about Housen Western Restaurant, come or not.]
Housen was a foreign restaurant with an average cost exceeding a thousand dollars. To some, it might be considered just street food.
Grace: [Housen it is, what’s so special about it?]
Grace: [Tonight, I will definitely make you fall under my spell.]
I chuckled and didn’t reply further.
Later, Mary sent a message. [William, I want to see you!]
She was always straightforward like that. I replied: [Come to the BS Building Room 2018. I’ll be waiting for you.]
Mary: [Okay, I have a lot to say to you.]
She sent a distressed expression.
Come to think of it, I hadn’t paid much attention to her for two or three days, and I actually missed her.
William: [We’ll talk enough when you arrive.]
I stretched lazily, figuring that it was a quiet morning and I didn’t need to fret about Paul and Grace’s project.
Rising from my seat, I approached Melody. "Ms. Wilson, the liaison from Walker Company is looking for me. I’ll go see her now."
Melody remained expressionless. "You’re the deputy manager, you don’t need to report these matters to me. Just liaise directly with Ms. Lawrence in the future."
She was still angry.
This was the moment to stand my ground. If I backed down now, knowing her temper, she would likely blow a minor interaction with female colleagues out of proportion. It was important to establish clear boundaries. I nodded and knocked on the door of the director’s office.
Upon entering, I braced myself for a challenging encounter with Jessica, but to my surprise, she welcomed me with a warm smile. "Please proceed, and remember the task I assigned you yesterday."
The power of love seemed overwhelming. Jessica seemed like a completely different person to me.
Leaving the office, Melody’s eyes were shooting daggers. She probably didn’t expect me to go directly to Jessica.
Grabbing my bag, I walked past her without even glancing at her.
