Chapter 118 Disconnected thoughts and Demonism

A week later.

Dusk.

Unlike the usual days, every one of Han Li's three girls were awake, but today, they were not training. None of them.

Han Li was the same.

They were all sitting in his room, while Liyue—the once stuttering girl was comfortably cuddled in his embrace on the left, while Yue Li was lying on his lap. They were all looking at a letter that Han Li had received early in the morning.

Yue Li and Li Yao (this lazy woman who had been pushed to quite an extent through the last week) had smiles on their faces for not having to train today, while Liyue was not in this world at all at the moment. She was completely fused out. She and her brother Han had been so naughty for each other that she hadn't even noticed the passage of time or not training.

Training had become second nature to her anyway. Leaning against his shoulder, totally relaxed regarding her two mothers' gazes on her, she just wanted to doze off and procrastinate now.

"So, what is up with you two's marriage?" Li Yao asked, sitting to the side with a jug of alcohol in her hands. She was aware of her daughter's growing confidence but didn't really speak about it.

"We decided what to do, and it will be an actual wedding!" Liyue turned active and said with a smile. "I thought a lot about it, and Big Brother said he is fine with it, so yes, I want to do it professionally."

"So, what is the letter about?" Li Yao asked, curious.

"That we don't know. He isn't showing it to us!" Yue Li said curiously from his lap, comfortably tucked under a blanket that hid her naked body.

The three again turned silent due to him not talking, and all of them reentered their thoughts.

Yue Li was okay with him doing whatever at this point. She had even made him do that. How can her heart not be clear now?

In her opinion, her heart had healed long before Han Li did that. He also thought along those lines at this point. But of course, there was something much more important to think about than that heart stuff: her son's new ability to vibrate his body.

Oh god, she had a lot to talk about it.

Honestly, after the first few days since her so-called heartbreak, she had stopped feeling those negative emotions regarding Liyue and Li Yao. She didn't feel any now either. In fact, she liked what she was seeing. Her son was enjoying himself, after all.

In her opinion, her heart had healed long before Han Li did that. He also thought along those lines at this point. But of course, there was something much more important to think about than that heart stuff: her son's new ability to vibrate his body.

Oh god, she had a lot to talk about it.

Han Li suddenly solemnly touched her lips, breaking her complex thought process.

"What happened, Xiao Li?" she asked curiously.

Han Li was also surprised at his hand. "Instinctual thing," he muttered.

She nodded, and he didn't take his hand away.

But his thoughts were still on the contents of the letter.

4th Month, any day, Yangmeng Mountain, if you come, we can settle it. Fair and Square.

It was from Yang Wei, and more than anything, it was entirely unexpected to him.

Why would Yang Wei call him out for a duel at this point?

Was he that confident about the new powers he gained?

Why is he goading me?

Is he bored or something?

'Well, whatever. You play your games, I guess,' Han Li shook his head with a smile and, with a tight grasp, pulled the paper into his Empty Space.

He didn't plan to go into this duel.

The usual, rather irritatingly long process of first bringing out a Crystal and then bringing it in along with it was already much faster now. The process was the same; it was just that his handling had gotten better.

Talking about that, his empty space was filled with sacred coins now.

He had to use his mom's system again to see how much he had when they were alone.

All three of them were full of disconnected thoughts, and a strange silence settled inside the room for a long while before it was broken by the noise of a chicken's cry, snapping all of them back to reality from their broken thoughts.

Han Li breathed out a puff of air while squinting. "So, Liyue, what happened to the pigeon that delivered this letter to you?"

"It flew off right after it was delivered," she replied.

She had brought this letter to him early in the morning, and he had told them not to worry much about training for the day and to take a break. He also needed some rest after not getting enough sleep for a while.

The three women were soon in the kitchen while Han Li went out on a little stroll around his home. According to his and Yang Wei's agreements, neither of them could come close to each other or reveal any secret regarding each other to anyone. But messaging each other was no issue.

Han Li pondered on how he could use that to his advantage while moving out of the Starlight Zone and into the bustling Southern Lust City.

He had usual strolls around here in regular intervals when he had nothing else to do. Usually, they were in anticipation of something to hook his line like the Honey Magical Resource some days ago, and today was the same.

But today, he had another goal.

Walking through vendors one by one, he looked for items like maps and travel-helping tools.

Most of the tools were easy to get, but an actually good map was a rarity.

He walked through shop by shop, and after hours of searching and hundreds of 'genuine' maps later, he finally found something that was actually real.

He didn't exactly know what kind of beast resided in what territory.

Before heading out of the city, he had to know what beast lived in each area at the current time and weather. And the maps with fake details were abundant. Without a basic understanding, it was easy to get scammed.

Sadly for the vendors, it was Han Li out on the street.

"Hey boy, how much is this map for?" he squatted down and looked at a young boy.

"Big brother, it is seven coins. My gramps said everything here is seven coins!"

Han Li grew curious and looked around at the stuff scattered around in the small shop.

Half-broken sculptures, seashells, paintings, and musical instruments of different aesthetics. It was a shop full of scattered stuff.

"Ah, my mom would actually love such things." He laughed.

But deep down, he became rather interested.

"Your gramps is an intercontinental traveler?"

The boy shook his head, scratching his scruffy black hair. He said, "No, no, my gramps' wife used to be a person from one of the other continents. My gramps said to tell this too if someone asked."

Han Li nodded with a smile. The things here were of all kinds of culture, and some were not of any culture he knew about in Sacred Lust.

'No wonder they have good maps,' he thought, 'intercontinental travelers are still quite prominent at this point in time.'

About fifteen years later, the world would be thrown into the next Transcendance War, and the intercontinental Traversal thing would come to an entire halt. And that would continue until the war ends thirteen years later.

Then, it would still be very rare for people from other continents to come to Sacred Lust, but that would change 45 years later when the next big thing after the Transcendence War began.

Heaven Rising.

An event that would set about changes like wildfire, causing people from all seven continents to often travel across. But in both of his lives, he had never visited another of the seven continents. He had never had to, and he was never a man for pointless traveling.

But of course, he now had a totally different view of those places now.

That must be where the other 6 monsters lived. The same kind as him.

But for now, he looked at the leather-made map.

"Okay, young boy," Han Li ruffled the young man's hair casually and placed eight coins in his hand. "A small tip for you."

The young boy smiled at him joyfully and looked up at the ceiling covertly.

With Han Li's senses, he could feel an old man looking at him from atop the ceiling, and he smiled.

This boy amused him quite a lot. And he deserved an extra coin for that. With his [Life Vision], he could see the young boy's future.

[Hou Jing] [Age: 7]

[Current Cultivation: Unawakened]

[End time cultivation in the first life Premonition: Unawakened]

[End time cultivation in the last Premonition: Unawakened.]

[Death: (in the last premonition) At age 7, the young boy was murdered by a Demonic cultivator named Hua Mang and transformed forcefully into a unique Magical Resource meant for Body Strengthening.]

He then looked towards the old man atop the ceiling through a small hole in the ceiling.

[Hou Mang] [Age: 128]

[Current Cultivation: Evolved.]

[End time cultivation in the first life Premonition: Evolved, Dao of Smoke]

[End time cultivation in the last Premonition: Evolved, Dao of Smoke.]

[Death: (in the last premonition) At age 312, end of lifespan.]

Han Li smiled as he walked out with a map in hand.

'I wonder how many Demonic cultivators are in the Starlight Zone alone…' Have to be careful, have to be careful… hidden dragons and crouching tigers are all around and everywhere... Cheerful that he had gotten what he was here for, he walked back home joyfully.

As for the young boy and his fate?

Ah, he hoped the heavens blessed the young one with good fortune.

For him, what mattered now was getting married, murdering Yang Wei, and heading out to get started on walking towards his grand ambitions.

In all that, did the boy play a role?

No.

Guess the heavens were cruel indeed.

He should teach this as a lesson to Liyue someday.
