Rex walked, ran, fought the urge to scream, and even felt disappointed. No matter how hard he tried, no matter how hard he wanted to find his Demonic Soul Qi, nothing was there to help him.

"Useless." He gave up.

He had done this quite a few times while trying to figure out his Soul Qi. No matter where he looked, how matter how he tried, there seemed to be something missing.

He decided to follow that path. He began to study the Spiral of Destruction. His methods were to see what kind of Destruction it could do first.

After tens of thousands of times, he felt that he had already learned it. So began to do it with Destruction there to study it as well. Once again after tens of thousands of times. He felt that he finally had learned everything.

In the moment of clarity, a path finally opened up. The straight and clean path was now rugged and dirty. He walked down the path.

Each step did not hurt him but it did feel different than normal. As he continued to walk down, he suddenly found a black puddle. He looked at it. He could tell that there was Soul Qi in it. That was all. If it was Heavenly Soul Qi, he truly had not gotten it fully completed yet. If it was Mortal Qi, he would have known instantly. If it was Godly Qi, he could have felt it being similar to his first path.

"I am guessing that it is Demonic Soul Qi." Rex made his decision.

He started to place his right hand in after bending down to see how it felt. At that moment in time, he got sucked into a pit.

No fire, no light, only a pair of shiny white sharp teeth and darkness was all he had gotten himself into.

"Welcome traveler who is a demon. Here is the situation for your Demonic Soul Qi. Tell me when you have prepared for your Destruction." This unknown voice spoke.

Rex looked around and felt that this was indeed a weird situation. Nothing seemed to matter to him currently. Even then wanting the power that most demons do not have is a great step for him to become someone worthy of standing beside Lilith.

"Are you positive it is my destruction?" Rex asked.

"Any demon who wishes to obtain the Demonic Soul Qi has two Destructions that they go through. The first is the Destruction of their emotions. The second is the Destruction of what makes them dangerous." The voice replied.

In the depths of the darkness and figure began to appear. "It appears to be time now." The figure slowly made his way upward.

While trying to figure out what he needed to destroy. The figure put it's hand on Rex's shoulder.

"Dark Abyss. What are you here for?" Rex asked.

"You know as well." Dark Abyss replied.

There was no path. There was no fighting. Either Rex or the Dark Abyss would win the fight in pure destructive matter.

"Begin." The voice beckoned them.

The two found themselves in a plain. A herd of charging goats came up. Their power did not seem great until they became simply giants charging forward.

"Now it is either do or die." Rex thought.

He immediately threw a punch full of Mortal Soul Qi. The goats tumbled backwards three steps. Their eyes now furious and a 'MMAAAHHH' came hard from them.

The Dark Abyss sent a punch. Rex could tell the difference in his Mortal and his Dark Abyss's punch.

"Too much difference in Soul Qi." Rex spoke.

Then they began to fend off the goats. Each time one fell, three others trying to take its spot.

"Spiral of Destruction" Rex yelled.

In the midst of the goats, a dark complete square formed.

"Dark Square of Annihilation"

Everything that was destroyed was completely put inside the square and released in a black beam that finished the rest of the goats.

"Damn. That is stupid." The Dark Abyss spoke.

"Yup." Rex spoke.

Thus the duo began to walk down another path that seemed to Spiral into the depths of Rex's Soul.
