The players are marching grandly towards the Royal City, the final battle is about to commence.

Present world, Wastelands.

"Damn it, lend a hand, these guys have all gone mad!"

Inside the prison, Atula forcefully kicked back several ratmen that lunged at him, his chest covered in blood.

"I can't even handle my own side here, what on earth do these prisoners want!" Flora drove her spear into the ratman's head, twisting it hard, and the splattering blood stained her face.

"Damn it, why have their bodies become like this, just like... like rats!"

"To correct you, they are not prisoners."

Sevia walked amidst the heap of monsters, an invisible Water Blade floated around her, swiftly slicing through the air, circumscribing the ratmen's necks.

All the rat heads fell to the ground in unison, and the previously noisy prison finally fell silent.

Sevia observed a black-and-white photo slipping from a ratman's chest, showing his wife and children. The girl's eyes slightly drooped, as she manipulated the Water Blade to slay a ratman still struggling hard.

"I couldn't tell, but she's quite capable." Flora whispered to Atula as she sidled up to him.

"Indeed, don't be fooled by her short stature and delicate hands, her strength surpasses mine, I've never won an arm-wrestling match with her." Atula shrugged.

"What should we do next, all the floors above are full of monsters, we're trapped here and can't get out." Flora said.

The keen-eyed can see that this is by no means just an ordinary riot.

An unknown miracle is erupting within the prison.

Atula looked at the corpses of prison guards scattered all around, their bodies covered in bite marks, their faces filled with terror, the injuries too horrific to witness.

She sighed, "Everyone we came with is dead, only the three of us are left on this floor."

"We have to find a way to get out, we absolutely can't let these monsters escape the prison, we have to let the people outside know what's happening here." Atula's eyes darkened.

"It's easy to talk standing there, but with so many monsters above, how can we possibly get out?"

Sevia, having excessively used her own power, felt piercing pain in her head, whispers looming in her ears, as images flashed before her eyes.

Shaking her head to dismiss all the illusions, the girl breathed a sigh of relief.

The two were continuing their argument when Sevia noticed a blood-soaked diary in the corner of a cell.

She squatted down to pick it up, snapped her fingers, and all the bloodstains vanished, leaving the coarse paper restored to its original state.

Is this perhaps a guard's journal from the cell?

Sevia opened the diary.

For unknown reasons, the language here could be understood between them, but she completely couldn't comprehend the writing.

"Hymn of Flowers." Sevia murmured, and the Stars twinkled in the sky, a light appeared in her eyes.

The strokes on the diary began to automatically rearrange, and the knowledge entered her mind in a manner she could understand.

February 13th, the weather is cloudy.

Judging by the date, it seems these things happened three days ago, Sevia thought, beginning to read the diary's contents.

"I witnessed with my own eyes, the King bringing those Wizards into the prison, they selected a death row inmate, and with an Obsidian dagger, they inflicted a thousand cuts on him while he was still conscious, smearing rat feces mixed with various germs into his wounds, then locked him in a room."

"The Wizards claimed this was done to attract the attention of a 'Parasite', heaven knows what a 'Parasite' is, my mind couldn't comprehend their words, filling me with dread of the unknown."

"His wails made my hand tremble as I wrote down these words, and I can't help but feel lingering fear."

"It was a completely sealed room, no windows, I swear not even a fly could escape from there."

"Those Wizards ground Dead Thorn and Chewing Edge Grass along with rat ashes and skin to make black candles by mixing with white wax, mounting them on silver candle holders, instructing us to ensure these candles light the entire room, leaving no shadow, and to keep them burning until the man dies."

"We did as instructed, the man kept wailing during our setup, the germs festering in his wounds, his skin becoming swollen and ulcerated, pus flowing constantly, begging us to let him go, but if we let him go, maybe the next ones to suffer would be us, we could only pretend not to see."

"The Wizards said the 'Parasite' had already entered this room, wandering among us, but we couldn't see it. It is curiously scrutinizing us now, winking at me."

"Only when the man dies will it enter his body, and before that, we must remain conscious, or it will enter our bodies for a little joyride, and our seven orifices would rot and bleed."

"The night deepened, the man kept wailing, the fragrance from the black candles prevented us from sleeping, I am so fearful, this agony weakens my body, occupies my thoughts, causing my soul to bleed, my brain sings in places I cannot see."

"Tonight the Stars must hang high in the sky, beautiful yet indifferent. Oh my heavens, mother, if you can see me from Heaven, please protect me."

"Miranda has already been driven mad, constantly mumbling strange incantations, he extinguished the black candle in his hand on purpose and tried to snatch ours."

"A heavy thud was heard in the darkness, when we saw him again, his limbs were broken by an unknown force, his entire head twisted backward, face covered in blood, he was dead."

"The Wizard wasn't lying, there indeed was an unseen entity wandering about the room, just among you and me."

"The candles go out, and we will die."

"That Wizard named Silius laughed at Miranda's corpse, but I do not understand what is so funny."

"Darkness descends, small lives can only pray in despair."

February 14th, the weather is unknown.

"The prisoner cursed us with the most venomous words to die horribly, his eyes glaring at all of us with such malice, though his body is swollen beyond recognition, his lips turned as purple as a liver."

"He screamed that he would drag us to die with him, even in such a state, he lasted another day."

February 15th, the weather is cloudy.

"The night passed with the man's faint moans, he seemed to have fallen into a high fever and coma, muttering repeatedly that he wanted to go back and see his mother. Fortunately, we all made it, as the man finally died."

"The Wizards said the 'Parasite' has entered his body, we draped the man's long hair over his face until it was covered, stuffed a bell the size of a walnut into his mouth, as the Wizards said this would imprison the 'Parasite' in his body."

"Blessedly we left that room, the two nights endured were the toughest of my life, except for a slight itch in my throat, everything else is fine, I really want a bath."

February 16th, the weather is cloudy.

"Late last night, lying in the guards' bed, my body and Spirit were exhausted, but I could not sleep peacefully."

"Half dream, half awake, I seemed to hear the roar of a creature, sharp and hoarse, making my heart race. Was it my illusion? I distinctly saw those Wizardly dressed folks dragging a hunched gigantic rat out of the room?"
