Lin Zhihao only had Flower Snake and Black Ghost by his side.

"Don’t make yourself sound so noble, making me out to be a complete villain."

"You were the one who showed no kindness first, so don’t blame me for returning the favor."

"You wanted to make a deal with Zhang Lu, find out the location of the hostages, and provide evidence of my crimes in exchange for your safety. You think I didn’t know that?"

"Yes, I initially invited you to join me, to give up your mercenary life and join my side with Flower Snake and Black Ghost. Honestly, for giving up your freedom to build an empire with me, I’m grateful, but wasn’t it for money too?"

"I’ve given you a generous payout. I believe I haven’t let you down. If there’s anyone to blame, it’s yourself for seeking death."

"You want to kill me? As your brother, I have to fight back. If I did nothing and waited for you to destroy me, would I not have failed as your brother?"

Lin Zhize was emotionally stirred, brimming with accusation and indignation toward Lin Zhihao.

He portrayed himself as innocent, continuously blaming Lin Zhihao to feel better.

Because he had always intended to eliminate Lin Zhihao and pin the blame on him. Now that Lin Zhihao conspired with Zhang Lu, it played right into his plans, and he used this opportunity to set up this trap.

"How did you know this?" Lin Zhihao was filled with doubts, his expression grim.

"If Zhang Lu’s phone can become a bug, why can’t yours?" Lin Zhize didn’t hide it. To make Lin Zhihao die without confusion, he revealed the information.

"So, you were guarding against me all along, even when I trusted you so much and thought for your welfare," Lin Zhihao replied in dissatisfaction.

"I’ve said it before, don’t make yourself out to be so noble. You’re just like me, selfish and putting yourself first, so why the pretense?" Lin Zhize exposed Lin Zhihao’s lies.

Lin Zhihao’s expression changed multiple times before he weakly said, "Do you really want to kill me?"

"Want? Of course, I want. I set up this trap to kill you and pin the blame on you. Did you foolishly think I would spare you?" Lin Zhize mocked.

"Do you think killing me will clear your name? Don’t be naive; the police aren’t fools," Lin Zhihao was unconvinced.

"Killing you, making it look like an accident or a fight; everyone here knows you’re their boss. Now that the surrogate has been found here, even if the police don’t want to believe it, all evidence points to you. Can you explain this away? Plus, you’ll be dead and never able to explain," Lin Zhize confidently said. "Afterward, I will lay low for a bit, halt operations until things calm down. Once I’m no longer a target, I’ll come back, while you will die with an infamous reputation."

"Aren’t you afraid of retribution for treating me like this?" Lin Zhihao was truly unwilling.

"Retribution? What nonsense," Lin Zhize laughed, then impatiently said, "As your brother, haven’t I been good enough to you? That’s enough talk; it’s time to send you off."

"Flower Snake, Black Ghost, each of you take a shot, send my brother off," Lin Zhize ordered the two.

"Is that so? Are you sure they really betrayed me for you?" Lin Zhihao asked with a strange smile, the look of defeat gone, replaced by a cold smile.

For a moment, after Lin Zhize knew his every move, he truly doubted that Flower Snake and Black Ghost had betrayed him.

But once everything was clear, Lin Zhihao understood that Flower Snake and Black Ghost hadn’t betrayed him.

Lin Zhihao knew about Lin Zhize trying to win over Flower Snake and Black Ghost. Lin Zhihao purposely let them agree on the surface to Lin Zhize’s offer, to take advantage from Lin Zhize, and then at a crucial moment, strike hard against him.

Now, the opportunity finally arrived.

"What do you mean?" Lin Zhize’s triumphant expression changed, looking a bit rushed.

"Kill the two of them," Lin Zhihao glanced at Lin Zhize’s bodyguards.

Flower Snake and Black Ghost swiftly turned their guns.

"Bang bang!"

Two gunshots later, Lin Zhize’s two bodyguards, with eyes wide open, had bullet holes in their foreheads and fell to the ground.
