Chapter 1122: Chapter 1122: Holding Back

The information that the Fourth Elder has gathered about the Hound Base is really limited. According to the intelligence, only Dais frequently leaves the Hound Base to spend time in the bar in the town, and nothing else is known.

However, the Fourth Elder confidently asserts that the Hound Base must be heavily populated and could not possibly be empty, which is obviously the case. Anyone thinking the base is vacant would be foolish.

But, aside from Dais, Sky Net really doesn’t know much about the Hound Base.

If that’s the case, how do the people in the base get their food and drink? That’s a problem.

"What do you mean, Mr. Ye?" the Fourth Elder asked tentatively.

"Don’t put all your focus on me; you should use your own brains as well," Ye Fan replied bluntly.

"Perhaps, he’s the only one bold enough to treat the Fourth Elder so dismissively. No one else would dare," Twain and Green bitterly smiled, watching Ye Fan’s impatience with the Elder, feeling a deep bitterness in their hearts. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

The Fourth Elder was also repeatedly embarrassed, only able to cover his shame with a dry laugh.

"Before taking action, it seems crucial to understand the situation first," Walker spoke up. "We know nothing about the structure and layout of the Hound Base. Based on the current intelligence, I have reason to suspect that either the base has stored enough food and drink provisions, or it is self-sufficient, or there are other unknown secret passages connected to the base, supplying the needed materials. The members inside the base may freely come and go, maybe even among us."

"This town might be the Hound Base’s largest cover, and its best fortress. Our arrival must be known to the base," Eddy analyzed.

"The God Organization is deeply rooted, and although it’s been heavily hit, its subordinate forces are intertwined," Sheridan said. "Especially in places like the Hound Base, which is one of the last bastions of the God Organization. Such a place surely has formidable defenses; the enemy may spring from unimaginable places, and anyone in town could very well be our enemy."

"If that’s true, then we’re mixed in with the enemies," Smith said. "In my opinion, this suspicion seems unrealistic. Let’s not scare ourselves without sufficient intelligence; it’s better to avoid random speculation."

"Since we are going to engage the enemy, we must consider all adverse elements to avoid being unable to cope in a rushed situation," Oliver said.

The five leaders of the three Hunting Teams each expressed their opinions, all results of speculation.

"Given the limited intelligence you currently have, it’s best to wait patiently. Investigate the unusual places in town, and notify me once Dais steps out of the Hound Base so I can make contact," Ye Fan said nonchalantly.

"Mr. Ye, do you know Dais?" asked the Fourth Elder out of curiosity.

"Do I need to?" Ye Fan retorted, without directly addressing the Fourth Elder’s thoughts.

"With Mr. Ye’s past prestige and status in the God Organization, I doubt he would be acquainted with Dais, as there wouldn’t be any need," the Fourth Elder asserted. He didn’t know the names of important leaders associated with Sky Net, let alone Ye Fan back then. With Ye Fan’s high status, why would he need to know people within the organization?"

Everyone in the God Organization knows the Terminator, yet they each have their own image of what he looks like.

Thus, the true appearance of the Terminator remains unknown to even the God Organization’s elite, of course, known by only a very limited few.

It’s natural Ye Fan does not know some of the God Organization’s leaders because, as everyone knows, he disdains getting to know others, and ’acting independently and decisively’ accurately describes the Terminator.

The Fourth Elder is convinced that Ye Fan truly couldn’t know Dais. Dais knows the Terminator, but the Terminator certainly doesn’t know Dais.

Actually, Ye Fan not only knows Dais, but is also quite familiar with the situation at the Hound Base.

Ye Fan is aware of all nine bases of the God Organization, which is top-secret information that Sky Net cannot uncover.

Even those inside the God Organization’s bases do not know that Ye Fan is aware of everything about the bases.

Moreover, Ye Fan knows that every person and every building in the town belongs to the Hound Base, and the town exists to mask the Hound Base.

Ye Fan remains silent about this situation, seeing no need to disclose too much to the Fourth Elder.

He also wants to see Sky Net suffer serious losses, and if he reveals these top-secret details, how else would Sky Net bear any losses?

"I’m going to rest now; don’t disturb me unless it’s important. Notify me when Dais appears," Ye Fan said blandly.

Then he left on his own, the Fourth Elder wanting to speak but ultimately said nothing.

"Ladies and gentlemen, our situation is extremely unfavorable. This is apparent to all. Does anyone have any opinions?" the Fourth Elder asked for input.

"Many of what Mr. Ye mentioned serves as a reminder to us; his points may seem exaggerated but they aren’t without possibilities," Walker replied rationally. "I firmly believe the Hound Base and this town are inseparable. Know that the God Organization has developed for a long time with the capability and strength to achieve this."

"In my opinion, Mr. Ye is overestimating others and belittling himself," Oliver remarked disdainfully. "Things aren’t as exaggerated as he thinks; though I felt restrained in speaking against him in his presence, now that he’s not here, I suspect that Mr. Ye’s words are half-truths with significant doubts."

The leaders of the three Hunting Teams started discussing the link between the Hound Base and the town, along with the matters concerning Ye Fan.

The Fourth Elder listened and couldn’t help but feel a headache.

"What do you think?" the Fourth Elder finally turned his attention to Twain and Green.

"Being cautious avoids unexpected trouble; we should prepare for the worst, and also prepare to face the most dangerous situation," Twain said sternly.

Green confirmed, "Our operation is classified, but once the attack begins it will draw the Underworld’s attention. We cannot afford to lose, and Mr. Ye’s advice is constructive for us. We have reason to fully accept it."

"I’m not exaggerating the enemy; the adversary we face now is the most dangerous and the most cunning hunter, so we must be especially cautious," the Fourth Elder seriously warned everyone.
