But wouldn’t killing them be counterproductive, like shooting oneself in the foot, making people more suspicious? Another purpose might be Dais intentionally wanting us to doubt Mr. Ye."

"Overthinking it is pointless; let’s focus on the results," the Fourth Elder said. "Conquering the Hound Base requires Mr. Ye’s full support. I firmly believe that Mr. Ye wouldn’t blatantly challenge Sky Net’s authority without regard for Lu Xiangxiang and Liu Shangxiang’s lives. The price is too much for him to bear."

"I also believe Mr. Ye won’t do anything rash in plain sight. But in the shadows, might he have some other ulterior motives?" Green said.

"It’s undeniable that Mr. Ye hates Sky Net deeply. However, as long as Lu Xiangxiang and Liu Shangxiang are hostages, he will weigh his actions carefully and not act recklessly because he is a man of great passion and loyalty; he wouldn’t ignore their lives," the Fourth Elder said confidently, then instructed, "Pay extra attention to this town.
