My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon-Chapter 130: – My Boss? –
Sabrina jolted to awareness. She quickly scrambled off him, reaching around to pick up her glasses and the documents that had spilled from her hands. "I’m sorry," she apologized shakily. "I’m really sorry about this!"
Tasso pushed himself up to his feet. He scanned himself, his face constricting a bit. "Who knows how many people have walked on this floor? Gross."
"I’m sorry..." Sabrina stared at him, now having gathered herself. "I didn’t mean to bump into you."
"Bump? Hm." Tasso looked at her. He approached her suddenly, leaned in to peer intently at her face. His raven black lashes flickered and his pupils shrunk to pin size.
She wondered why he had that look on his face, as if he’d realised something horrifying. But then she heard him scoff. "Well, the heavens sure are messing around with me."
"Huh?"
He grabbed her chin gently, lifting his eyes to lock gazes with her. "Listen, I may not like humans, but I don’t intend to hurt one. Be it emotionally or physically, especially women. I adore women. And that’s precisely why I’m going to let you know right here and now, your heart will be shattered to pieces with a man like me. I don’t do relationships, I don’t do that love bullshit, so get rid of those sparkles in ya eyes, alright. You and I, we won’t work, and being my mate makes no difference. Though don’t get me wrong, you a real beautiful woman."
His lips quirked into a soft smile that could charm the heart.
He tapped her jaw softly, before he let go and walked past her.
Sabrina blinked at nothing, confused and unable to comprehend what in the world had just happened. Her heart was pounding in her ears. Her thoughts were jumbled and the only thing her body could proceed to do in the next moment was spin around on her feet.
"Who are you?!" she yelled over at him.
Tasso paused. He slowly glanced over his shoulder at her, turning to tilt his head. "You want to know my name?"
"Yes!"
"Bold."
She added, "I’ll also give you my name."
Tasso cocked a brow. He found her amusing. "But I didn’t say I wanted your name now, sugar, did I?"
She balled her fists. "But I want yours."
"Is that so? You turned a deaf ear to what I just said now, huh?"
He clicked his tongue, moving as quick as the strike of a lightening, and all Sabrina felt was the brush of intense breeze, and then he was right in front of her. She jolted, breath hitched and trapped in her lungs. She’d forgotten how to breathe, stuck under the scrutiny of this man she couldn’t seem to take her eyes off of.
She watched him lean in, face planted dangerously close to beers that if either of them moved...
She gulped, but wouldn’t step back. Almost as if she wanted to stay right there, in that very same space of heat as him.
Tasso narrowed his eyes on her, mouthing softly, "Interesting. You’re not surprised, I’m assuming you know what I am, hm?’
She stood her ground. "I know what you are, yes."
"And what am I?"
"A vampire." She swallowed.
"Heh..." He reached out, curling his fingers into the back of her blonde hair. "May I kiss you?"
The question came out of nowhere, and she was frozen under his touch, even though he had a pair of black thick leather gloves on.
Her heart was racing.
’What is happening to me?’
Tasso grinned, jade white teeth displayed. "Had I not heard you speak earlier, I’d have thought you were mut—"
"Yes!" she blurted.
"Yes what?"
"Y-you asked if you could..."
"Could what?"
She tried to breathe steadily. "Kiss...me?"
The man tipped his head to the side, the hotness of his breath slapping against her face. "And you’re letting me?"
She couldn’t answer him.
Tasso tilted her chin up with his free hand, rubbing his tongue over his fangs as he reminded, "You’ve only just me, sugar. You don’t even know who I am and you’re letting me kiss you?"
"What are you trying to say?" Sabrina’s face fell. She slapped his hand away. "Forget it. You can be on your way now, sir. And who even are you? Why are you in this company? I’ve never seen you be—"
Tasso kissed her, slamming his mouth hard against her lips. Sabrina staggered backward at his urgeness, moving until she felt her back pressed up against the cold wall. She gasped, and he swallowed it, devouring her till she felt her mind swirling dizzily.
But then he pulled back, slamming both hands on either side of her head against the wall. He stared down at her. He was standing at six feet five, and although Sabrina was five eight in height, she felt his frame towering over her.
SHe swallowed, trying to catch her breath.
"Hm." Tasso rubbed his thumb across his bottom lip, sighing softly. "You taste quite addicting. Sweet lipstick you’ve got on."
He lowered himself to meet her gaze that was cast down to the floor. "Is your boss in this building, pretty?"
"My boss?"
"Yup. That bastard, Nikolas."
"Uh...no." Sabrina shook her head. "H-he left much earlier."
"Is that so? What a shame."
He stroked his jaw.
"Do you still care for my name?"
"Huh?"
"It’s Tasso Grimaldi. Not that you’re ever going to find me. Ah, one more thing." He tucked her hair behind her ear. "I don’t really appreciate the idea of you letting just anyone kiss you. You’ve got to be a good girl, hm?"
But Sabrina was too frozen. Too tongue tied to even talk.
Snapping out of it was only when she noticed him putting distance between them. "W-where are you going?!" she asked, holding this look of reluctance on her face.
Tasso regarded her with a fleeting interest. He sat at the window, saying "I have no need for your name, sugar. And we shouldn’t meet again. I don’t hope we do. Bye now."
He threw himself off, and as if instinctively, Sabrina ran toward the window, glancing out with panic in her eyes. Did he fall? He would be dead if—
"Boo!" Tasso flew down into her face, startling her.
Sabrina jolted, staggering back, the last thing she heard and saw being his chuckle and that stupid smile on his face.
She sat on the floor where she’d fallen on her butt, gazing at the window with flickering eyes.
"Tasso..." she mouthed. "...Grimaldi."
