Chapter 133: - Please -

Viviana turned around and stared at the direction where she was feeling the most eyes on her. There weren’t many people here, because while it’s an open place, it was still the Di-grassi property, so of course only shops like the café approved by her father were available here.

Swallowing, she immediately slipped off her shoes. She wasn’t with her gun, and had not thought she would need it. It is after all not everyday one wakes up assuming they would be watched or tailed.

"You’ve got to be kidding me."

She was a Di-grassi heiress and naturally a man like her father had taught her to be vigilant of her surroundings. After all, there were eyes on her family. Maybe she hadn’t learnt how to fight, but she knew how to use a gun, and she knew...how to run.

Taking steps back on her barefoot, she turned, uncaring to know whoever it was after her. Viviana ran and sure enough, the people who’d been watching her, finally stepped out of their hiding place, sprinting after her.

They were three men, all in black suits and a face covering that obscured their identity.

Viviana ran, trying to call Nikolas in the process, but one of them was faster than she was. He’d caught up to her, grabbing and slamming her back against his muscled frame. He slammed a palm over her mouth, and wrapped an arm around her stomach to hold her still.

She struggled, and even but the man, but the man wouldn’t let go. His strength

almost felt nonhuman, holding her in place. "You better stay still, girl. While I was asked to bring you alive, I’m not more of a patient man, alright? So behave yourself and just come quietly with me."

Viviana forced her gaze up, but she couldn’t see the face of this person. ’Come with you quietly. I’d rather die’ Only a stupid person would without a fight. After all, who knows what would happen if she was taken.

She bit down hard into one of his fingers and although the man was shaken, letting out a pained, angered grunt, he didn’t let her go. "You little bit—"

"Let go of her!" a voice bellowed.

Both he and Viviana looked over and standing just a little distance from them, was Sabrina.

She knew Viviana had taken this route, as it was a route that those who didn’t drive followed to take a taxi home. Viviana didn’t come with her car, she’d hurried to catch up to her, having questions only to find her here, about to be abducted by some men.

"Let go of her!" Sabrina glared, gripping the disposed bat stick she’d picked up by the side.

The man smirked behind the coverage he wore. "What do you intend to do with that?"

"Let go of my best friend!"

She was approaching as she spoke.

"NOW."

The man snorted. "Come and get her then."

But Viviana rapidly shook her head at her. "Step back! Sabrina, leave and don’t look back." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"I’m not leaving you!" Sabrina glared at her.

"Sabrina!"

"You wouldn’t leave me if I were in your shoes, why the hell would I abandon you now? Do you think I would be able to leave with myself?" Her voice was trembling. She was afraid, yet she wouldn’t turn around and pretend she’d seen nothing.

The man chuckled. "How emotional. Makes me want to tear up. But I really don’t have the time for this drama," saying so, he reached into his pocket, taking out something. And before either Viviana or Sabrina could even register a thing, the banging sound reverberated, birds flying up around into the sky.

Silence fell between the three.

Sabrina slowly lowered her head. Her lashes flickered, seeing the red liquid soaking her white shirt at her belly. He’d shot her, and she was going to die.

Lifting her head, she locked gazes with Viviana as she began to tear up. "Vi...Viviana."

"No."

Viviana shook her head.

"No, no, no! NOOO! SABRINA!" She struggled in the man’s grip, forcefully biting down into his fingers, almost tearing off his flesh. She kicked him hard against the groin with the back of her feet, and the second that gave her an opportunity, she sprinted off, hurrying to Sabrina who’d fallen on the ground, clutching her stomach where she was bleeding profusely.

Viviana quickly grabbed her and lifted her into her arm, her bloody trembling hand coming to cup her cheek. "S-sabrina, no, no, please don’t do this to me."

Sabrina grabbed at her wrist, trying, forcing herself to look at her. "Viviana, you’ve...you’ve got to run. They’ll hurt you. You’ve got to—" She coughed hard, spurting out a mouthful of blood. "Run. Please, r-run."

"I’m not leaving you. Please!"

"Run."

"No, no, look at me. I’m not leaving you. I can’t leave you." Viviana found herself unable to breath. The tears that were streaming down her face had blurred her vision. "Please, stay with me. I-I’ll get you somewhere. Wait, wait, let me call the ambulance. Let me..."

Sabrina’s dying eyes grew horrified, widening. "Run! Viviana—"

The man who’d finally gotten himself together, was behind Viviana in the blink of an eye. Viviana didn’t have the chance to react, before she was hit at the neck. She blacked out immediately, falling with a heavy thud.

"To think a human would be such a hassle to grab. Tsk." The man clicked his tongue and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder.

He turned to leave, but Sabrina who was on her last breath, gripped his ankle with her bloody hands. "Please, please, let her go. I’m begging you."

He frowned at her. "You’re very troublesome, you know that?"

Sabrina wouldn’t let him go. She gripped him. "I’m not letting you take her! I won’t!" And she held him, so hard to the extent, the man frowned uglily.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He’d grown irritated at this point. She was stalling him, and without any choice left, he used his other leg to kick her so hard where he’d shot her. But even regardless of the pain, Sabrina held him.

The man was taken aback.

"What the... Let go, you damn bitch!"

She wouldn’t. "Let her-let her go." She was sobbing hard, frantically shaking her head. "Let her go! Help! Someone HELP!" She screamed for help as loud as she could, but it only made things worse.
