My Scheming Little Devil-Chapter 940 Serving Her
As soon as we arrived back at the villa, a team of medical staff was already there, anxiously waiting at their posts.
Third Young Master Jun strode in cradling Ye Lu in his arms, his face shadowed by a murderous chill, yet the depths of his eyes were filled with intense heartache and concern as he gently laid Ye Lu onto the bed.
Looking at her pale complexion and her exhausted and dispirited demeanor, his heart ached even more.
He turned sharply, his icy glare sweeping over the doctors as he commanded with authority, "Examine her immediately. If she has any issues, none of you will leave this villa."
The group of doctors paled at the sight of the fierce and anxious man before them—daring not utter a word, they hurried to check on Ye Lu.
After the examination, they reported that Ye Lu was experiencing some pregnancy-related discomfort, including a lack of oxygen and palpitations caused by too much tension.
They prescribed medication for her, and after inhaling oxygen for two hours, her complexion had improved, softening Third Young Master Jun’s frigid expression somewhat.
"Please keep the pregnant lady in a good mood. Being down and not feeling well is harmful to both mother and child," the doctor instructed, then glanced furtively at Third Young Master Jun.
Third Young Master Jun’s gaze was still cold as he ordered, "Leave two behind, the rest may leave."
The doctors breathed a sigh of relief and, except for the two unlucky ones called out by name, the rest left as if pardoned.
Ye Lu looked at him with annoyance. He even threatened the doctors; they must have been brought here at gunpoint, otherwise, how could they have arrived so quickly?
Third Young Master Jun fetched a warm towel, carefully wiping her face with tender care.
"How do you feel now?" he asked, his voice growing soft.
"Better."
If it had been any other time, such a terrifying gunfight would have only startled her momentarily, but she was pregnant now, and the high tension and stress indeed made her feel exhausted and somewhat uncomfortable, her limbs weak and numb.
Third Young Master Jun frowned, touching her forehead, her hands, and her feet, noting they felt somewhat cold.
But knowing she was too tired and certainly wouldn’t want to get out of bed for a bath, he used the warm towel to give her a foot compress, helping her circulation flow smoothly.
Ye Lu watched him move back and forth between the room and the bathroom, taking a long time to figure it out before he awkwardly wrapped her feet in the warm towel, letting the warmth steam on the pressure points at the soles of her feet with such earnest and meticulous care.
Her gaze grew more conflicted—he was so attentive that he even did the foot compress for her. This arrogant, high-and-mighty man was willing to perform such a humble task.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Ye Lu suddenly saw him undoing her clothes and blushed with embarrassment.
Just when she thought he was being considerate, he couldn’t possibly be trying to take advantage of her.
"I’m helping you clean up. You sweated during the scare earlier, right? It’s sticky and uncomfortable. Let’s also change into a fresh nightgown," Third Young Master Jun said with a serious demeanor, devoid of his usual flirty and frivolous attitude.
Ye Lu was really not used to him looking so righteous.
"I can do it myself," Ye Lu said with a blush. She had never been cared for like this before, and certainly not by a man helping to clean her body. It was indeed embarrassing.
She tried to snatch the towel.
But Third Young Master Jun glared at her sternly, issuing a forceful warning, "Don’t move, just lie down. The doctor told you to rest properly. Don’t fuss and move around. Patients should be obedient. There’s no point in pretending to be strong when you feel weak and limp like a shrimp."
Ye Lu glared back at him. He was domineering and autocratic, but did this young master even have any experience in caring for others?
"Do you even know how to clean someone? What if you’re too rough and you hurt me?" she challenged him skeptically, fearing he might scrub too harshly and cause more harm than good.
Feeling unwell today has slowed me down, not enough. I will make up for it tomorrow.
