My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!-Chapter 49- One With Yourself (Part 1)
Chapter 49- One With Yourself (Part 1)
The car moved to the school and stopped at the usual spot for Elio to get off and continue on foot. After that, Fiona continued as usual to the front gates. Her eyes followed Elio casually till he disappeared from her vision.
Reaching the front gates, Alfred opened the door for her as she got off. Immediately, countless eyes locked onto her, and she found herself being admired, as usual, by every student. This was a daily occurrence for her, so it didn’t really bother her that much.
Even the whispers of admiration and the constant attention she was getting from people wherever she went, that was her life, and she accepted it a very long time ago.
"Good morning."
On the way to her class, Fiona came across Alex, who joined her randomly.
"Good morning. Did you take care of the situation last night?" She asked.
"No, it didn’t really need my presence. I sent the second team to just deal with it, and it went flawlessly." Alex said. "But... The attacks have increased quite a bit recently. This is the third resurgence in a week."
"Mmm, I’m aware. It seems the Society and the clans are also noticing it and looking into it."
"Do you think it could be a sign?" Alex asked after a moment of silence, his expression turning serious. He had thought of a possibility that he didn’t like whatsoever. However, he tried to shake it off. It was pointless to think of the worst-case scenario at that very moment.
"It is far too early to judge. Let the society investigate, and then we will move accordingly."
"Understood. Also... How is that guy doing?" Alex asked. "You’ve been spending a lot of time with him every day."
His tone remained calm, but there was a subtle irritation hidden within. He frankly didn’t like the fact that Fiona was basically with Elio the entire day. She brings him with her and then spends the evening with him, training him and teaching him.
’She has stopped going on hunting missions all because of him... I get that it’s much more worth it than some easy mission, but...’
That wasn’t the real reason why he was upset. The real reason was that he wasn’t able to spend time with her as much as he wanted to. Before, they would be together most of the day, going on missions together, or working on other matters.
As much as it was purely work-related and nothing truly ’fun’, he still enjoyed it more than anything else. Just being around Fiona made him very happy, and so it didn’t matter to him what they were doing as long as she was with him.
That was swiftly taken away from him. But, he can’t complain because this was a very important task for the future. Training Elio was very crucial, and he knew that better than anyone else.
"Elio is doing well. Frankly, way better than I could ever imagine. He has been absorbing my training extremely well and recovering in record time. He had already reached the level where he could start Blood training."
"Already?" Alex blurted out with wide eyes.
"Yes. I was contemplating if it is the right time or not, but when I look at how he is taking the training... It’s almost like his body is the perfect fit for it. He has a monstrous learning ability and adaptability, coupled with an extremely strong mental fortitude."
Those three components were what made the difference between people who fail and people who succeed. Elio was an anomaly in all three aspects.
"..." Alex pursed his lips as a sad look appeared on his face before he looked away. "I see..."
"Aside from that, depending on tonight’s progress," Fiona spoke. "I’m planning to do something."
"Hm? What?"

The school day passed peacefully as usual. Elio spent it mostly focusing on studying rather than anything else. The exams were not that far away, and he still wanted to get good scores. Even if Elio’s entire goal has changed over the past few days, he didn’t want to completely give up on his studies.
He at least wanted to pursue a degree while focusing on his Vampire Hunter journey. There was no harm in always keeping a safety option in case things didn’t work out for him.
Eventually, the classes passed, and the bell rang, announcing the end of the day.
"Don’t forget to revise the material during the weekend. It’s not all about having fun, got it?" The teacher said as he watched his students leave happily. It was finally the weekend, and everyone was excited to finally relax a bit after a long week.
Elio was the only one who didn’t care. Weekends for him were always just extra hours at work, and while it was different now, he still planned to focus on his training and studies in the next two days.
Leaving the school with Fiona, the two went back to the Vaylor Estate. Inside the training facility, Elio stood before Fiona, a bit excited for what was about to come next.
"So, as I said earlier, we are going to work on your Blood Energy Manipulation. This is going to be your main focus for the next two months, as it is the key for you to become a very strong Vampire Hunter."
"I understand!"
"As you already know, Blood Energy is the main fuel for your body. It is the power that determines your prowess as a Vampire Hunter. Without it, you are nothing, and the more you have of it, the more potential you have." Fiona said as she started channeling her own Blood Energy. "Not only does it boost your physical power and activate your runes, but it also serves as your shield."
Slowly, the energy condensed on the palm of her hand, forming a beautiful red bubble. Elio watched in awe at how effortlessly she was controlling her energy as she talked. It seemed like second nature for her.
"To maximize that power, you need to learn how to circulate your energy to increase its speed, efficiency, quality, and quantity. The more you master the ability to circulate the energy, the stronger you will become."
Elio listened silently, with his eyes focused on Fiona.
"The very first step toward that is to learn how to circulate the energy without any flaws. So, I want you to sit down and close your eyes. Then, try to focus on your energy and move it. It should be easy enough to do that."
Nodding his head, Elio sat down and closed his eyes. Sucking a deep breath, he recalled how to channel his energy. It was rather simple as his body instinctively learned how to do it. Slowly, his energy reacted to his call and started moving slowly and sluggishly.
It took him a long time to move it around, and his focus kept breaking every time. When it did a full circulation, he opened his eyes.
"I cannot do it as fast as you. My energy feels so sluggish."
"That’s natural, you still haven’t learn how to do it. Besides, I have noticed that you are focusing more on moving rather than the Blood Energy itself."
