My Whole Class Isekai'd to a Xianxia? Good Thing I Can Do Mind-reading-Chapter 290: To Outer Space
'Those big mouths, Yin Jiang and Elder Jiang…' Feng Fan cursed inwardly. But on the outside, he maintained a warm smile.
"Oh, Qinqin, Xiao'er, Xue! What a coincidence… I was just about to come see you three," he said, lying through his teeth without the slightest hint of shame.
Su Xiaoli sneered. "Oh, really? Then why don't I believe you?"
Feng Fan brushed off her skepticism with a lighthearted laugh before continuing. "I'm heading out on a mission for Elder Long from the Dao Seeking School. Don't worry about me; I'll be back soon."
He took a step forward, but before he could slip away, Xue Qiang's hand landed firmly on his shoulder, stopping him in his tracks.
"Perfect. We'll be going with you," she declared, her tone leaving no room for argument.
"You don't mind us tagging along, do you?" Su Xiaoli added, a playful smile tugging at her lips.
"Why would I ever mind having three stunning beauties accompanying me into unknown territories?" Feng Fan said with a fake smile. "Let's go!"
Knowing there was no talking them out of it, he didn't even bother trying to convince them otherwise and simply set off with them.
—
Feng Fan set off with the girls, and upon nearing the Dao Seeking School's territory, he quickly spotted Long Liu. It wasn't difficult; she stood beside a big flying vessel, surrounded by several powerful cultivators, all at least at the Return To Void realm.
"Finally decided to show up? I was beginning to think I'd have to drag you out of your little hideout," Long Liu remarked the moment she saw him. Her gaze then shifted to Huang Xue, Su Xiaoli, and Xue Qiang, a smirk of disdain curling on her lips.
"This is the company you brought? You do realize this isn't a sightseeing trip, right?"
Huang Xue and Su Xiaoli didn't show any reaction to her words, but Xue Qiang narrowed her eyes slightly. She held her tongue, though, unwilling to make a problem out of it.
Feng Fan could only offer a wry smile. He hadn't exactly wanted to bring them along either.
Before the tension could build further, one of Long Liu's men stepped forward, his expression friendly and a gentle smile adorning his face.
"Ah, you must be Feng Fan. A pleasure to finally meet you," he said, cupping his hands in a respectful gesture. "My name is Xia Ling. I've heard much about you. With your expertise in Dao Arrays, I'm certain we'll have a successful mission."
Feng Fan returned the gesture, cupping his hands in respect. Since they were embarking on an important mission together, it was only natural to maintain a certain level of courtesy.

One by one, the others introduced themselves. Many among them were Array Masters, and Feng Fan quickly noticed the way they regarded him—with admiration and curiosity. His reputation for breaking through an immortal-graded array had spread far and wide, making him a well-known figure in the world of formations.
"Since everyone has been introduced, set off. You must return within nine years, preferably sooner," Long Liu ordered.
"You're not coming with us?" Feng Fan asked, looking at Long Liu with a puzzled expression.
Long Liu shook her head. "I can't. I have too many matters to handle here."
Feng Fan nodded. He could guess what she meant. Either way, it didn't change his mission.
With that, Feng Fan, Su Xiaoli, Xue Qiang, Huang Xue, and about fifty others boarded the flying vessel. Moments later, it soared into the sky. As it ascended, a barrier enveloped the ship.
Feng Fan quickly analyzed it and deduced that the barrier would shield them from attacks in outer space, including meteor strikes. It also maintained an atmosphere inside, though with their cultivation levels, surviving in space wasn't an issue.
Excitement stirred in Feng Fan's chest. He was about to leave Red Pole—a new frontier, unexplored territory. His eyes gleamed with possibilities.
'Maybe I'll find plenty of rich young masters eager to gift me cultivation resourcers?'
On Red Pole, his reputation ensured no one dared cross him. But on foreign planets? That was another story. Unknown to Long Liu, Feng Fan was already scheming on how to turn this trip into a profitable adventure.
"Sir Feng," Xia Ling approached, snapping him out of his thoughts. "We will break through the void in a few minutes. Our course is set for a planet called Yellow Leaf, a neutral zone where most civilizations of the Intergalactic Council gather. This information comes from the token the messengers gave Long Liu."
Xia Ling handed Feng Fan a jade slip, which he accepted. "This contains all the information Long Liu received from the Intergalactic Council. Please read it carefully before we arrive. Everyone else has already received a copy."
Feng Fan nodded as Xia Ling left, allowing him to return to his thoughts. He opened the jade slip and carefully read its contents. There was a vast amount of information, but with his current reading speed, he could absorb it all in just a few minutes.
"Interesting… There's a lot of basic information about the Intergalactic Council. This is probably their way of giving new civilizations a chance to gather intel on their opponents. Otherwise, they wouldn't be so forthcoming," Feng Fan muttered to himself.
The fact that they were given ten years to prepare for the council seat was clearly intentional. It allowed them time to gather information and strengthen themselves. Otherwise, the battle that would determine whether they became one of the hundred ruling civilizations or a mere vassal would have already begun.
"It doesn't mention it here, but what could possibly make so many civilizations band together?"
Feng Fan wasn't naïve enough to believe the Intergalactic Council was free of internal conflicts. A massive organization composed of countless civilizations could only remain united for two reasons—either the benefits were too great to ignore, or they faced a common enemy so threatening that they had no choice but to stand together.
