My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 128 - 122: Cancel the Results, Rematch
"Senior Brother..."
The seriousness in Aurora Sinclair’s eyes instantly turned to surprise. She pulled away from Alvin Morgan’s hand, hurried forward, and steadied Jared Miles.
Jared Miles let her guide him back into the CEO’s chair.
Alvin Morgan’s hand fell to his side and clenched into a fist, his gaze darkening.
’So this is Aurora’s senior brother?’
Aurora Sinclair took Jared Miles’s wrist and channeled the Power from her own body. Bit by bit, she guided it through his meridians, soothing the chaotic Power rampaging within him.
To Alvin Morgan, their interaction was a grating sight.
"Senior Brother, are you feeling better?" Aurora Sinclair asked with concern.
Jared Miles gave a gentle smile and raised a hand to ruffle her hair. "Much better. Junior Sister, did you miss me?"
Aurora Sinclair nodded. "Warner’s all grown up!"
Jared Miles froze for a moment, a hint of guilt creeping into his smile.
Warner was the little mutt he had given her before he left the mountain. He’d said he would come back when the dog grew up, but so many years had passed, and he had never been able to return.
Jared Miles gently squeezed her arm and asked softly, "Are you feeling better?"
Aurora Sinclair nodded again.
Jared Miles seemed to intentionally ignore Alvin Morgan, keeping Aurora occupied as they reminisced. A cold glint flashed in Alvin’s eyes as he watched.
’He’s after Aurora!’
"Ahem..." Alvin coughed lightly.
Aurora Sinclair turned to look at Alvin Morgan, then gestured toward him and introduced him to Jared Miles, "Senior Brother, this is my good friend."
Only then did Jared Miles look at Alvin Morgan, his expression indifferent, his tone polite yet distant. "Hello. I’m Jared Miles, Dawn Miles’s senior brother. Thank you for taking care of her."
The corner of Alvin Morgan’s mouth curled up, and he replied in a similarly detached tone, "Mr. Miles, there’s no need for such formalities between us regarding Aurora. Her business is my business, and my business is hers. Isn’t that right, Aurora?"
Aurora Sinclair nodded in agreement. ’After all, Morgan’s safety is my business too.’
Standing to the side, Jared Miles’s heart tightened. He suddenly had the feeling that his junior sister was being stolen away, and his tone hardened. "I don’t believe I caught your name?"
"Alvin Morgan."
"The Young Master of the Morgan Family?"
Jared Miles was instantly stunned. His eyes sized him up again. The man’s aura didn’t seem like that of an ordinary person, but he hadn’t expected his status to be so high.
The Morgan Family of Kingsford was no ordinary family.
The guardians of Veridia’s most powerful weapon were the Morgans, so the Morgan Family’s status in Veridia was exceptionally high.
As the Young Master, Alvin Morgan’s own status was naturally elevated. Furthermore, his past exploits as the player Summoner White had earned a fortune for the EM Group. The profits covered the deficits from their assassin and Boxer divisions and even led to the first international e-sports tournament being held in Veridia. In a way, he was a benefactor to the EM Group.
Jared Miles felt a mix of emotions and offered a polite platitude, "My junior sister is simple and naive. It’s an honor for her to befriend the Morgans."
Alvin Morgan smiled, his gaze softening as he looked at Aurora Sinclair. "It is I who am honored that Aurora and I are so compatible!"
"Morgan is a very good person, too!" Aurora Sinclair said, her eyes filled with sincerity.
The way they looked at each other made Jared Miles very uncomfortable. He immediately gave Aurora a little tug, drawing her attention back to him.
"Junior Sister, you must be hungry. Let me take you out to eat..."
But to his surprise, Alvin Morgan cut in and refused. "Sorry, Mr. Miles, but Aurora has already promised to have dinner with me today."
Jared Miles suppressed his anger and looked at Aurora Sinclair.
She gave another small nod. "Morgan is treating us to hairy crabs and vinegar fish."
"You can eat that another day!"
"No. Master said you must always keep a promise!"
Jared Miles: ...
"What about tomorrow?"
"We’re going to the amusement park!"
"The day after?"
"I have my second match."
Jared Miles was exasperated. ’With my junior sister’s skill, she’ll definitely make it to the finals. That means I can forget about having a meal with her during the competition.’
Just then, Alvin Morgan added fuel to the fire. "Mr. Miles, to avoid any trouble, it would be best if Aurora had no association with you for the time being!"
The words had barely left his mouth when Jared Miles exploded with anger. He asked in a hostile tone, "Are you saying I can’t protect my own junior sister?"
But Alvin Morgan looked him straight in the eye and said bluntly, "Gossip is a fearsome thing! I don’t want her to suffer even the slightest grievance, not even from you!"
’How arrogant!’
The Power around Jared Miles began to surge again, and just as he was about to intimidate Alvin Morgan with it, Aurora Sinclair finally noticed the tense atmosphere between them. She immediately ran in front of Alvin, shielding him. "Senior Brother, are you angry?"
"No."
Jared Miles practically ground out the single word through clenched teeth.
’I have no idea what kind of potion that brat gave my junior sister to bewitch her. He’s absolutely infuriating!’
He helplessly withdrew his surging Power and glared coldly at the smiling Alvin Morgan.
’What did this brat do to deserve my junior sister’s protection?’
He asked, full of indignation, "Junior Sister, you think so too?"
Before Aurora Sinclair could respond, Alvin Morgan cut in coldly, "You should know full well what the consequences will be once people find out you know Aurora..."

The tightly closed office door suddenly opened, and a man and a woman wearing face masks walked out. Levi Forrest and Harrison Yates glanced at them curiously and gave a polite nod.
Levi Forrest was the first to enter the office. He saw his boss sitting behind the desk, looking at his phone with a calm expression.
"Mr. Miles..."
"Classify both of their personal files as S-level secret!"
Levi Forrest’s expression turned serious, and he nodded.
’The last people to receive S-level classification were those Morgans from District One a few years back, if I recall correctly.’
’Could these two be from the Morgan Family as well?’
Meanwhile, Lorraine Morrison, who had been threatened by Gideon Alden, saw the online videos and news about Echo and furiously went online to expose Echo for using a substitute player.
But no one believed her, and they even flamed her for being jealous. Only one tabloid, which frequently exposed scandals about the *Battle for Glory* teams, contacted her.
This tabloid was funded by a rival gaming company of the EM Group and specialized in smear campaigns against the game, the teams, and the EM Group itself.
As a result, that evening, while Alvin Morgan was treating everyone to a big dinner, a topic about the scandal of Echo using a substitute in the qualifiers was bought and pushed onto the hot search list.
[Holy crap! Is this for real? Waiting for the plot twist.]
[Master Rory and Echo’s skills are truly exceptional. They’re almost like a pro team.]
[This leak is real. I’m from District Twelve, and I’ve run dungeons with Echo before. The girl’s skills are actually trash.]
[The invitation only has the name and game ID, so it’s definitely easy to exploit that loophole. Check the surveillance footage! @BattleForGloryTournamentCommittee]
[HOLY SHIT! Echo’s account wasn’t hacked, was it? Paging the real Echo, get online ASAP!]
Shortly after, the official *Battle for Glory* website released a statement that seemed to be shifting the blame: Entry to the *Battle for Glory* qualifiers is based on scanning a special code on the invitation, so we cannot control who holds the invitation.
This pushed the real Echo into the eye of the storm.
But Noelle Chaucer was no pushover. She went online and directly blasted the tabloid.
[Mind your own damn business! I gave my account away a long time ago. So what if someone else is using it to compete? What’s with all your whining? @GameGossip]
[Do you think the pro players for the big teams are the same people who originally registered the accounts? Some bitch sold me out and tried to get people to dogpile me, but you miscalculated, didn’t you? I already gave my account away! Hahaha... Bet you’re pissed!]
But GameGossip, as if it had caught her red-handed, retorted: [So you admit it wasn’t the account owner playing! We demand a strict investigation! @BattleForGloryTournamentCommittee]
[If people can just use substitute players in the qualifiers like this every time, what’s fair about that?]
Players who had been eliminated in the qualifiers chimed in with their support, demanding that Echo’s results be nullified.
An hour later, the officials announced that Echo’s results for the match would be nullified.
[Dear players, upon verification, we have confirmed that the Echo account was involved in a rule violation. We will be nullifying Echo’s results. The 101st-ranked player will advance directly.]
But the eliminated players were still not satisfied. They felt that Master Rory only got first place because of Echo’s help, so they demanded that the results for the entire match be voided and that the match be replayed.
Harrison Yates wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at Jared Miles. "Mr. Miles, what do we do now?"
Jared Miles sneered. "Give them what they want. The rematch is tomorrow night! And remember to have that substitute player compete using her own account!"
