My Wife Is A Miracle Doctor In The 80s-Chapter 447 - 441 The Weakness of Humans
Chapter 447: Chapter 441 The Weakness of Humans
“You gave me a blood transfusion, didn’t you?” Gu Ning vaguely heard that there was no blood in reserve. If there was no blood, then where did it come from? Now, Tang Yuxin looked somewhat pallid, resembling a person who had lost a lot of blood, just like him, as if she had just emerged from a pile of flour.
“800CC, quite a lot, isn’t it?” Tang Yuxin admitted, “So you owe me another life now. She didn’t even know how many times she had saved this man’s life. She had owed him once when they were children, but now she was paying back in multiples. Yet, how could she repay it clearly?
“Yes, quite a lot,” Gu Ning was not prone to smiling, but suddenly, warmth seemed to appear in his dark eyes, as if autumn had arrived. It turned out he was not a mobile air conditioner, but a warm baby instead.
“You may ask me to repay the blood,” he said seriously.
“No,” Tang Yuxin touched her hair. What did she need his blood for? Was it for drinking, or for eating?
“How about compensation in kind?”
Tang Yuxin’s hand paused for a moment. She suddenly lifted her head and saw Gu Ning looking exceedingly serious, “I can cut you off a piece of flesh.”
Tang Yuxin grasped her hair forcefully and almost pulled out a few strands.
“I’m going to check on the other patients,” Tang Yuyu stood up, fighting the urge to pinch Gu Ning’s face. Was this man joking with her? And what about those thoughts she should not have had?
If there’s not enough blood, then there’s flesh?
How can one compensate with flesh?
All adults know.
How else can one compensate?
Yet she was indeed misreading the situation, and was biased to boot. That damned man, always provoking her, yet she couldn’t pinch him, hit him, or scold him. After all, he was still a patient.
Tang Yuxin walked out and went to the ICU to check on a man whose heart was almost pierced by a bullet. His vital signs were still good, and after the bullet was removed, it didn’t damage his heart. Before long, he could be transferred from the ICU to the general ward. Actually, it would be better if he were dead. Death would mean a clean slate, and a living person, on the other hand, did not have it any better or stronger than a dead person.
Is death truly liberation?
Everyone says that, but who really knows if they are liberated when they die?

She continued to check her patients room by room.
All the patients admitted this time had survived, no one had died. Here, dozens of patients were admitted every day, and death was always a possibility. She thought that her heart had gone numb, but today when she saw the patients being resuscitated one by one, having heartbeats again and breathing, she was deeply moved. Although not to the point of tears, but she really wanted to say something.
It’s wonderful being a doctor.
Gu Ning recovered quite quickly, at least much faster than Tang Yuxin had imagined. The criminal she had saved was the same. He had already woken up once and was very quiet. He didn’t show any proclivity for suicide. She wasn’t sure if he had bowed to his fate or for some other reason until one day, she saw Gu Ning holding a child who was two to three years old, very small and skinny.
Tang Yuxin received the child, touching his small face, “Whose child is this?” She looked carefully at Gu Ning, “Is this your child?”
Gu Ning looked up, “I’m not married.”
“Unmarried does not mean you cannot have children.” Tang Yuxin played with the child in her arms. There were many single fathers and single mothers in this world. However, the little child was indeed quite adorable, with timid and curious eyes. The world in the child’s eyes was truly as transparent and clean as two crystals.
“It’s his daughter,” Gu Ning held the child carefully. “Let him have a look. He won’t have the chance later.”
Tang Yuxin lifted her head, “Which one? Is it him?”
Gu Ning nodded, “He confessed everything, for her sake,” he said, lowering his head and patting the little girl’s head, “You have to believe that even the most vicious person has a soft spot in his heart. This soft spot is the place he cannot bear to touch. All his persistence, all his everything, can’t match this child who carries his legacy.”
“So what are they planning to do with this child?” Tang Yuxin was a little worried about this young child. Regardless of what the adults had done, regardless of the wrongs they had committed, the child was always innocent.
“The child will be taken care of by a couple who has no children. They are well-off and already fond of the child. Besides, the child does not remember a lot now and maybe will soon forget many things, including her selfish father who was ready to abandon everything for her.”
Tang Yuxin felt a sudden discomfort in her heart and her nose twitched painfully. She turned her back and let Gu Ning go. As she looked back, she made eye contact with the beautiful big eyes of the child.
The child smiled at her, a carefree and clean smile, untainted by any dirt.
She walked back resolutely, no longer worrying about anything related to that criminal. Gu Ning had told her that the child had been sent to a loving home and was living a good life now.
That day, the sun was still shining brightly in the sky, and the light darting through the leaves splashed all over the ground, projecting a mottled mixture of shadow and light.
A couple came over with a little girl. Suddenly, the little girl’s shoe fell off, and the man quickly picked it up. He knelt down and put the shoe back on for the little girl who, though upset at first, started laughing a moment later. She kissed the man’s face and seemed to call him something. The man, with tears welling up in his eyes, immediately hugged the little girl, leaving the woman frightened.
Although Tang Yuxin could not hear clearly what they were saying, she knew that both the man and the woman loved the child very much. They loved her with all their hearts, their warmth, and everything they had.
The man kept hold of the little girl the entire time, not even letting the woman take her.
The three of them gradually disappeared into the distance, and the last thing etched in Tang Yuxin’s mind was the little girl’s crystal-clear eyes. They were still pure and mirrored the sky without an iota of impurity.
Tang Yuxin walked to the door of the ward. The two guards at the entrance briefly searched her before opening the door and letting her in.
Inside, there was just one man. One of his hands was still shackled to the bed. He could not leave this little space and the bed was all he had. He could not go anywhere and all he could see was what lay outside his window. Even the window was covered with a thick protective net, dividing the outside of the sky into various pieces, each fragmented and incomplete.
