My Wives Are Seven Beautiful Demonesses-Chapter 152 - No. The Rewards Are Finally Here! (2)
(Short Chapter)
***
[Location: Morningstar Manor, New York]
"You overextended into a divine arena," Grayfia continued, her voice a low tremor under absolute control. "Ares, Artemis... Zeus himself bore witness. And still, you walked away. Tell me, Dominic, what did you see there? What... did you feel?"
"I—"
Gabriel’s soft voice cut through the tension like a fragile bell.
"W-Why shouldn’t I heal him first and let grandnephew have some rest before asking questions...?" she said gently, hands clasped at her chest, wings twitching with nervous sincerity. "He looks like he might faint again if he keeps talking..."
For a split second, the sanctum stilled.
Grayfia’s gaze shifted—slowly—to Gabriel.
The pressure did not increase.
It softened.
Just a fraction.
Enough that Gabriel could breathe again without feeling like reality itself might crush her lungs.
"...You are correct," Grayfia said at last.
Her tone was calm, but the admission carried weight. She turned her attention back to me, silver eyes sharp with concern rather than interrogation.
"You will rest," she said firmly. "And you will be healed. Questions can wait."
I let out a shallow breath I hadn’t realized I’d been holding. "Thank you," I murmured hoarsely. "Before you start dissecting my soul."
Grayfia’s lips thinned. "Do not tempt me."
She raised one hand, palm hovering over my sternum. Frost-light bloomed, intricate and layered—far more complex than standard restorative magic. This wasn’t mere healing.
It was stabilisation.
"Gabriel," Grayfia said without looking away from me. "Assist. Gentle output only. No resonance with divine channels."
Gabriel nodded rapidly. "Y-Yes! Of course!"
She stepped closer, careful, reverent, as if approaching a sacred relic rather than her grandnephew. Warm, golden light pooled around her hands—soft, diffused, free of judgment or authority. It was healing in its purest form, absent of hierarchy.
The contrast between Grayfia’s frost-bound precision and Gabriel’s gentle radiance was striking.
Cold and warmth.
Discipline and compassion.
Together, they wove through my battered body.
Pain receded—not vanished, but quieted, like a storm forced to wait beyond the horizon.
My breathing evened out.
The SPIRAL turbulence inside me settled into a slow, aching thrum.
Grayfia exhaled quietly.
Not relief.
Calculation.
"...You are alive," she said again, softer this time. "That matters."
She drew her hand back and finally straightened, shoulders squaring as she reclaimed her composure. The sanctum’s temperature normalized slightly, frost retreating from the walls like obedient soldiers.
Only then did she turn her gaze to the others again.
Zeraphira stood rigid, still half-expecting punishment.
Valeria’s expression was stormy, jealousy simmering beneath forced restraint.
Ezravia watched everything with narrowed eyes, absorbing every detail.
Ravvy hadn’t moved at all—still anchored beside the bed, eyes peeking through her black bangs, hands clenched tight in the sheets.
Selene leaned against a column upside down, hands behind her head, whispering to herself. "Man, even Olympus drama doesn’t hit like domestic fallout..."
Grayfia’s eyes flicked toward her.
Selene froze. "...Silent mode."
Grayfia ignored her.
"Now," she said calmly, "Leave here, let him rest."
She shooed everyone, but Eris—"
"No! I stay with Papa!" Her little head shook, her silver-white hair with faint golden tips going everywhere. Carmilla, with an apologetic smile, knelt to Eris’s level, "Eris, your papa needs rest. If Eris stays, Papa won’t be able to sleep properly."
Eris puffed her cheeks, little hands gripping the edge of the ritual bed with stubborn resolve. Her crimson eyes flicked from Carmilla to me, then to Grayfia—measuring, calculating in the way only children who were far too perceptive for their age could be.
"But Papa is hurt," she said softly. "Eris should guard."
My heart twisted.
Grayfia’s gaze softened again—dangerously so. The frost around her mana thinned into something almost tender.
"...You may guard," Grayfia said after a moment. "From the antechamber."
Eris’s eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Yes," Grayfia replied. "Where you can see him. Not where you can interfere."
Eris nodded vigorously. "Eris will be very quiet!"
She climbed down with Carmilla’s help, throwing one last lingering look my way before allowing herself to be guided toward the adjoining chamber, where a crystal partition would allow visual contact without mana bleed.
Carmilla rose, meeting Grayfia’s eyes. There was a silent exchange there—mutual understanding layered with old grief and newer debts.
"I will ensure she behaves," Carmilla said quietly.
Grayfia inclined her head a fraction. "See that you do." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
One by one, the others were ushered out.
...
Now with me in the chamber, my attention went to the system notifications—

"..."
If not for my willpower being strong and girls looking at me from outside, my face would be sporting a massive grin just from looking at those lines alone.
I kept my face neutral.
Not calm—neutral.
There was a difference.
But—
If there truly was a soul-space, a mindscape, a metaphysical inner room where restraint went to die, then somewhere inside me, a completely naked, chibi version of myself was indeed doing an undignified victory dance while screaming incoherently.
’CLAIM! TAKE THEM ALL!!!’
Tti-ring!
[Rewards: Soul Affinity Seed, Skill Rune Stone: ???, +200 bonus Stat points, An Unknown Reward, Blood Domain, Crown Fragment: Archangel’s Heart (1/3)]
[Claimed!]
[Unknown Reward — Processing...]
[Congratulations on acquiring— Job Advancement Card.]
Tti-Ring!
[It is detected that the host already has— Archangel’s Heart (2/3)]
[Fuse it?]
’Fuse!’
[Fusing complete.]
A faint hum rippled through the inner sanctum, subtle enough that no one outside could perceive it, yet resonating deeply within my SPIRAL. The chibi me squealed in ecstatic disbelief, flailing tiny arms in victory while the metaphysical bells of the system rang their unseen fanfare.
The Archangel’s Heart fragments aligned perfectly, golden filaments of energy knitting themselves together with a soft, almost reverent hiss. My body tingled—not painfully, but with the sort of electric thrill that comes from touching something far larger than oneself, something ancient and alive.
[Archangel’s Heart (3/3) — Assembled!]
[Passive Bonus: Soul Recovery +50%]
[All Aura Branch Growth Rate +50%]
[Genesis Synchronisation Stability +10%]
[Unlock: Sealed Divine Authority — Access Available?]
’Yes! Yes! Yes!’
[Divine Authority — Access Granted]
A low hum reverberated through my very SPIRAL, like a heartbeat syncing with eternity itself. My chest tightened—not from pain, but anticipation. Every fiber of my being felt the pressure of something far larger than the mortal coil, something primordial. This wasn’t just power—it was a contract with existence itself.
The inner metaphysical room—my soul-space—flared like a star caught between creation and collapse. Chibi-me’s triumphant squeals echoed faintly as golden threads of the Archangel’s Heart coiled around the newly unlocked Sealed Divine Authority.
[Sealed Divine Authority — Status: Dormant]
[Activation requires Willpower Threshold: 99.99%]
[Passive: Augments all Soul Affinities; prevents divine interference unless voluntarily disengaged]
[Active Skills: Undisclosed until full attunement]
"..."
The Fugg!
What the hell?! Where is the fun in this if I can’t even see it yet?
[Soul Affinity Seed detected!]
[Fuse it?]
I hesitated, staring at the Soul Affinity Seed in the interface. One tiny orb, but its potential was enormous. This was the kind of reward that could quietly reshape everything without anyone knowing why. Perfect. Dangerous. Mine.
’Fuse it,’ I muttered instinctively.
The Seed pulsed once, bright as morning sun cutting through frost. My inner metaphysical space stretched in response, SPIRAL threads twisting around the Archangel’s Heart fragments now fused. Chibi-me squealed again, flailing like a toddler on a sugar rush.
[Reward: Soul Affinity Seed fused successfully.]
[Skill Tree Unlocked!]
— Soul Manipulation (Lvl. 1): the host can manipulate the souls of other beings.
— Memory Reading (Lvl. 1): the host is able to absorb a fraction of the souls of the beings that he kills and read their memories.
[More skills are locked.]
Damn!
Just this much can already make subtle shifts in battle, strategy, and perception possible. I could sense the layers forming, threading themselves invisibly into every fibre of my being—threads that no one else could detect, manipulate, or interfere with.
Except those with souls as their domain.
Chibi-me twirled in sheer glee, throwing invisible confetti, and I had to force a deep breath to remember that this was not a celebration moment—it was preparation. Everything here, every fragment, every seed, every dormant skill, was a silent chess piece, waiting for the exact moment I needed it.
