Before leaving Jing Haohao Flower Shop, Liang Chen pulled Jing Haohao into a deep kiss.

Exiting the flower shop and ready to get in the car, his pocket suddenly buzzed – it was his phone.

Liang Chen, grasping his car key, hesitated for a moment before extracting his phone. Upon reading the caller ID, his eyes sparkled with decipherable expression. He then opened the car door, slipped into the seat, started the car casually while leisurely answering the call.

As soon as he answered, he heard the emotionless voice of Liang Yuan, “Where are you?”

“I’m in the car.” Liang Chen replied, providing a clear but unhelpful answer.

Liang Yuan was silent for a few seconds before starting again, “About what happened last night, some of father’s friends saw. Somebody mentioned to father about your girlfriend. He sent me to ask who she is. While I haven’t told him yet, but it won’t be long before he finds out.”

“Putting aside how Miss Jing claimed to have been forced by you, which infuriated father as he thought you defiled a young woman. Just the fact that Miss Jing voluntarily entered your room at the Four Seasons Hotel alone would make him think she is a woman with ill intentions.”

“Even more, when Miss Jing left abruptly, she couldn’t wait to get away from you, but now she is back and involved with you again. This really raises suspicion.”

While smoothly steering the car, he laughed a couple of times, his face showed no fear or hesitation, sounding slightly sarcastic he said, “So, should I be thanking you for your shelter, then?”

Liang Yuan didn’t miss Liang Chen’s pointed remark. Though his tone remained calm, it carried a whisper of a warning, “Chen, do not treat what I have told you lightly. You may not care about the reputation of the Liang family, but that doesn’t mean others won’t. Do not force us to take action against Miss Jing.”

Liang Chen didn’t miss the implied threat coming from Liang Yuan, his grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly and his eyes turned menacing, his words were as cold as ice, squeezed out between his teeth, “Alright, alright, I am looking forward to see if you’ll have time to make a move against her!”

After saying this, Liang Chen abruptly ended the call and furiously threw the phone onto the passenger seat.

The sight frightened Miss Su who had been about to enter the room, witnessing this through the glass window, she quickly withdrew her hand and silently retreated back to her seat.
