Chapter 36 - A Café of Drama

The wind gently blew, strong enough to strike his aging body wrapped in hospital clothes.

He quietly sneaked out of the treatment room when his subordinates had no nurses or guards. After walking around the hospital grounds, he sat alone on a park bench, enjoying the morning view while breathing in the fresh air, which relaxed his body slightly.

Fine lines in the form of wrinkles adorned his face, proof of how strong we are as humans, yet we can never fight time. With each passing day, our age increases, and death draws nearer.

One of his eyes, not bandaged, stared blankly at the sky, where white clouds stretched above. The morning sunlight bathed his body, spreading a warm sensation.

At an age no longer young, where the prime of his life as a strong, capable man had long passed, his body was now frail and worn by time. At this age, nearing his late sixties, he should have been sitting quietly at home, enjoying his old age peacefully with his children, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Yet it appeared fate had different plans up its sleeve. It had snatched away the people he loved, and now only his grandchild was left, whose location was still a mystery.

On his quest to find his grandchild, he had already decided to go to the underworld, operate his dirty trade, take every cent, and grab every chance to increase his business empire.

None of this was done without reason, as he was willing to commit any dishonesty, even staining his hands with the blood of innocent people, all in the search for his grandson.

"The wind outside is not good for you. Let me escort you back to your room," said the well-dressed man.

"Let me stay here a little longer," he replied, refusing to return to his room.

"But you just regained consciousness, Mr. Hiroshi," he urged.

"Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday, and I want to visit her grave," he said with a sad expression, imagining his only daughter who had passed away.

"I will prepare everything and buy some lilies, her favorite flowers," the man responded.

"26 years have passed, yet I still cannot forget the death of my daughter," Hiroshi said, his voice filled with sorrow.

Amid their conversation, a nurse approached. "Mr. Hiroshi Okada, it appears you're here."

"What is it, nurse?" asked the well-dressed man, speaking for his master.

"A man named Kaito Ishikawa is here to see you," she replied.

"Thank you for the information, nurse," Hiroshi said.

After the young nurse left, Hiroshi returned to his room, accompanied by his assistant.

Kaito Ishikawa's visit this morning wasn't just to check on Hiroshi as his business partner; there was something else to discuss, and of course, it was business. When it comes to business, there's always something beneficial, especially for Kaito, as he didn't like working without any results.

In this world, there are no purely good or bad people. Everything happens because of circumstances or depending on one's perspective.

For example, what Hiroshi did, having to collaborate with Kaito Ishikawa, was to dirty his hands with the blood of innocent people to gather information about his grandson's whereabouts, who he had been unable to find for decades.

The atmosphere at Asahi Café was bustling today, filled with customers, primarily teenage girls and university students. There was a reason why the girls were flocking in; they usually came to catch a glimpse of Renji or Tetsuya, as both handsome young men could be considered the main attraction of the café.

However, today was different from usual because a man with white hair and a mask on his face drew curiosity from many girls flocking to the café. Moreover, Shiro Yamamoto's appearance was incredibly cool. Aside from attracting the girls' attention because of his trendy outfit, it also sparked anger in some of the café's men, who felt challenged by Shiro's presence, as he looked both handsome and cool.

Tetsuya was truly upset because he felt overshadowed by Renji's personal secretary. Normally, the girls gossiped about his looks, but now they were busy talking about Shiro.

"Did he purposely come to the café looking like that?!" Tetsuya groaned with a slightly furrowed, annoyed expression.

"Such a show-off!" Tetsuya shouted, feeling jealous.

Tetsuya chewed on his sandwich angrily, but his eyes kept staring at Shiro sitting between Renji and Aira. The blonde-haired girl with a ponytail had been watching Tetsuya's reactions and expressions, finding them amusing.

"Phfth..." Saki tried to stifle a laugh, observing Tetsuya's reaction to being overshadowed by Shiro.

Feeling like he was being laughed at, Tetsuya turned and glared at Saki. "Are you mocking me, Ponytail?" he snapped.

"I'm just finding it funny," Saki replied casually, unbothered by Tetsuya's sharp glare.

"That's just the same as mocking me," Tetsuya growled.

"Are you PMSing? So sensitive," Saki teased.

"I'm a man. I don't have periods," he retorted, taking another bite of the fruit sandwich Aira had made.

Saki rested her chin on both hands, staring blankly at Shiro. "Sure, Mr. Shiro Yamamoto might be handsome, but I'm not interested or tempted," she said honestly, expressing her opinion as a girl before Tetsuya.

A bright smile immediately spread across Tetsuya's face, which had been slightly contorted with frustration. "Really!?" he asked eagerly.

Saki nodded firmly. "Of course, because for me, the most handsome man in the world is...."

"I know! It's me, right?" Tetsuya interrupted, grinning widely and even striking a handsome pose before Saki.

Saki almost wanted to throw up at Tetsuya's ridiculous attempt to look handsome and cute. After talking about Maki and Yuna, they had just gotten along, but an argument had returned because of Tetsuya's antics.

"You're so full of yourself! Who said it was you, pale face!" Saki shouted, annoyed.

Still, with high confidence, Tetsuya nudged Saki's shoulder with his. "Just admit it, don't be shy. I won't be mad if you've secretly admired my looks all along," he said confidently.

Saki threw a cynical smile. "Yes, you're handsome, but in the land of Ogres."

Tetsuya pouted. "Ish~ don't compare my handsome face with that terrifying creature."

Saki's hand pressed against her suddenly throbbing forehead. "My blood pressure will rise at this rate," she complained.

"That's why you shouldn't eat so much salt," Tetsuya suggested, unaware that he was the primary source of why Saki's blood pressure might be going up.

Saki's jaw clenched, and her hand gripped the wooden tray tightly. If there weren't so many people around and the boss wasn't here, that wooden tray would have been flying beautifully to land on Tetsuya's head to knock some sense into him and make his brain work normally instead of being so narcissistic.

Without saying anything, Saki decided to go to the kitchen to deliver another order. Even though it was her day off, it was still better than sitting here with Tetsuya because it wasn't good for her heart health, and her blood pressure could rise.

Tetsuya clicked his tongue in annoyance because Saki suddenly left without saying goodbye. He still wanted to talk to her, but not how people talked. Instead, they tried to argue, bicker, and tease each other. But to Tetsuya, that was fun, and when he saw Saki getting frustrated, it made him happy.

Even though he liked Issei, Tetsuya spent more time arguing with Saki, though sometimes he would flirt with Issei when the opportunity arose. This would provoke Saki's jealousy since her boyfriend was being flirted with, especially when it was a man doing the flirting.

Tetsuya had already eaten more than three sandwiches, whether because he was hungry or because Aira's sandwiches were so delicious, especially since they were made in the funniest shapes.

Tetsuya was lost in his world, enjoying his meal while occasionally glancing outside at the street. However, his peaceful moment didn't last long.

"Cough..." Tetsuya coughed hard. The pale-faced young man choked on his food after seeing a woman with long purple hair in tight black clothes running toward him with a happy smile.

"Young Master Tetsuya!" screamed the purple-haired woman, Keiko.

Tetsuya's face immediately turned pale, and cold sweat flooded as he was trapped in a tight embrace.

"Thank goodness you're safe. I've been so worried about you."

"Choking~" Tetsuya groaned, trying to break free from Keiko's hug.

Keiko's arms were wrapped tightly around Tetsuya like a koala.

Watching the scene, Renji could only smile sadly, unable to do anything except sit back and watch Tetsuya's suffering while enjoying his cup of latte.

"I've missed you so much, Tetsuya-sama," she said, tears welling in her eyes.

"But I don't miss you," Tetsuya grunted, struggling to escape Keiko's grasp. "Let go, I'm suffocating!" Tetsuya groaned, annoyed.

"You're so cruel. I've missed you so much," Keiko sobbed sadly.

Tetsuya looked at Renji pleadingly, asking for help, but he was disappointed to see Renji lifting his coffee cup high, as if congratulating or, more accurately, mocking Tetsuya instead of helping him escape from the clutches of this terrifying woman.

"Watch out, you chicken's butt," Tetsuya cursed inwardly.

Just as Tetsuya was losing hope and ready to give up, suddenly, Saki appeared, walking past to greet the arriving guest. Without thinking, Tetsuya immediately grabbed Saki's hand, seeing her as his angel of salvation.

Saki's body staggered backward, almost falling. She shot an annoyed glance at him, but Tetsuya gave her a pleading look, like a small, adorable puppy asking for help. Saki noticed his gaze.

"Who are you? Don't bother us," Keiko glared sharply.

"Ah~ I...," Saki started to speak, but Tetsuya interrupted.

"She's my girlfriend," Tetsuya declared, introducing Saki as his girlfriend.

Renji stood there stunned. Aira looked at Tetsuya in disbelief, while Shiro didn't react, his face hidden behind a mask. The café customers were shocked, and their hearts shattered when they realized their dream prince already had a girlfriend.

Saki's eyes widened in shock and anger. Still, before she could say anything, Tetsuya had already covered her mouth and hugged her tightly. "You already know I have a girlfriend, so please don't bother me anymore," he said with a stiff smile.

"That's a lie! You're lying!" Keiko's cheeks were wet with tears. Keiko refused to believe Tetsuya's confession, denying that he had a girlfriend.

"I'm not lying. We're even planning to get married at the end of this year," Tetsuya continued.

Saki's eyes widened in anger, but Tetsuya tried to ignore it because, in reality, he was doing this reluctantly to get away from this terrifying woman. Keiko's body collapsed onto the floor, crying hysterically in front of them.

Of course, Keiko's dramatic scene caught the attention of many people, especially the café customers, who didn't find her behavior strange, considering the person they admired already had a girlfriend.

From a distance, Issei's yellow hair could be seen rising, and a huge blazing fire was behind him. The air around him felt like it could kill, radiating a deadly aura.

Issei's presence was terrifying, and Ryuji felt fear as he saw him in his Oni god mode. In a panic, Ryuji quickly called his other friends to help stop Issei, fearing the short-haired young man might be in danger at the hands of Issei.

Arashi grabbed Issei's shoulder, holding him back. "Control your emotions, my friend."

"Move!" Issei shouted. Ryuji immediately stepped back, giving them space. Even when Fujin tried to scold them, Ryuji quickly pulled Fujin away so he wouldn't interfere.

"Let me go, and I'll teach him a lesson!"

Arashi remained silent, not responding, still holding Issei's shoulder to prevent him from going wild.

"You have to trust Saki because I know she's a girl loyal to her partner."

"But, young master Tetsuya..."

"Whatever happens, you must trust her because a relationship becomes strong and solid when mutual trust exists."

Issei fell silent, his hands clenched tightly to hold back his explosive anger. After all the time he had been in a relationship with Saki, this was the first time he felt so angry and jealous. Perhaps this was how Saki felt when someone else approached him.
