Myriad Devils-Chapter 280: Settling down in the ancient city

Although he could not read the abstract soul, Elshen was able to accurately deduce Mystifying Jade Fantasy’s true core of thoughts about this entire matter.

She was not worried that he would try to escape with the greatest treasure within the Purity Heaven Realm.

Or, more accurately, she did not care if he tried.

Besides the very glaring matter of the dimensional gap separating a realm father and a Dimension Lord, one that could not be crossed, logically...

There was one, even more stone-cold reason that fed her confidence.

Daughter.

That was the main reason.

She was the daughter of the City Lord, and the City Lord was a Secondary-Level Dimension Lord.

Naturally, there was some sort of pact uniting the Dimension Lords operating this ancient city, so the City Lord would not intervene in the matter if his daughter lost this treasure to the other Dimension Lords.

However, a little realm father, desiring to grasp the mysticism of Heaven in one stroke?

Hah...!

After only seven nights, the spark began flickering before it disappeared, not due to a desire that had dissipated over time, but because of a plethora of other reasons.

One.

This was the highest floor of the Jade Fantasy Pavilion.

Business thrived and boomed because of this single floor, so it was not ideal to close it for an extended period just for intimacy.

Two.

The Dimension Lord had many things to do.

Three.

Ancestor Green still awaited Elshen’s presence outside of the highest floor.

With an expressionless face and myriad thoughts swirling within his abstract soul, Realm Father Elshen departed.

Mystifying Jade Fantasy observed him closely.

’A realm father with an abstract soul... Father said they existed, but one has not publicly appeared in our Elven race for several cosmic cycles.’ Mystifying Jade Fantasy sighed inwardly, ’To think that I’ve really crossed paths with such a favored Heavenly chosen.’

Will he smartly give up what should be given up?

Thereafter, a relationship between the two can truly be fostered, and who knows what the future holds...

In time, he will actualize an inner dimension and possibly become a Primary-Dimension Lord, or even...

And their status will switch, but before that, won’t she take care of him?

However, if he does not move smartly, and he does not give up what should be given up, then his most brilliant and dignified path to cosmic greatness would naturally come to an end.

What Mystifying Jade Fantasy seeks, she will grasp hold of it, tightly.

Outside the highest floor of the Fantasy Jade Pavilion, only a single cosmic vessel was stationed, in which Ancestor Green awaited Elshen’s departure.

Momentarily after perceiving his presence, Ancestor Green manifested before Elshen, and on his face was a strange expression, and his eyes revealed a ’knowing’ look.

Elshen suddenly burst out laughing, "Why are you watching me like that? Or do you think I’ll forget that this is the second time you’ve overlooked my wishes?"

The first time, Ancestor Green opted to risk offending him over the Black & White Dimension Lord.

Now, he had even devised a plan that used Elshen to inadvertently elevate his own status to Heaven with just one push.

This was so commendable.

In the moments following Elshen’s triumph over the Master of Ancient Black Star with a single strike, and just before he suggested that Elshen visit the Ancient City of Jade Pure, Ancestor Green had truly created something remarkable.

Upon hearing this, Ancestor Green’s heart grew cold.

He began to worry...

Between him and Elshen, there was a higher likelihood that Elshen would be favored by Mystifying Jade Fantasy.

If Elshen sought to annihilate Ancestor Green, body and soul, Mystifying Jade Fantasy might very well overlook his actions.

Elshen grinned when seeing Ancestor Green’s thoughts.

He really had to make an effort looking into the soul of this sly realm father. Who knows what Ancestor Green might concoct once more...

"Didn’t Mystifying Jade Fantasy order you to prepare a residence for me? And to take care of me during my stay in this Ancient City of Sun Jade?" Elshen said.

"Good, I’ll make sure to use you properly!" His eyes glowed crimson.

This intense glow made Ancestor Green’s heart tremble.

This was such an ungodly light, but it gave off such a familiar sensation, and this was a desirable sensation.

His soul trembled with anticipation...

The opportunity in this 9th Heaven was around thirty years away.

During this time, Elshen did not place much focus on enlightening his principles of Fate, Destiny, Inevitability, or Fire.

Only after two hundred years would these principles be enlightened to 30%.

Between the percentages of 20 and 29, there was only a slight difference.

When he battled Entry-Level Dimension Lords, this slight difference might be what created a stalemate or brought him victory, however...

When confronting a Secondary-Level Dimension Lord, this slight difference will be unworthy of attention.

And what was worthy of attention?

The principle of Death.

This was the only principle amongst his lesser enlightened principles that had a chance of being the fifth to be enlightened to 20%.

With five principles enlightened to 20%, his strength would be elevated once more.

Though 20% was an entire league beneath the minimum level of Dimension Lord, this was a matter of quantity over quality. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

One principle enlightened to 20% was naturally insignificant, but five...?

Two principles used simultaneously would bounce off of each other, resonating and multiplying power...

And to add to that, of these five, three were Fate, Destiny, and Inevitability, the most revered principles within the cosmic space!

The very cosmic space empowered Anon’s every action, because he was its favorite even amongst all heavenly favorites.

So Elshen remained in his residence and enlightened the principle of Death, regularly retrieving the Banner of Void Spirits from the dream realm to decipher the mysteries of Death contained within it.

These mysteries contained in the Banner of Void Spirits naturally housed the secrets up to 29% enlightenment.

During this time, several months passed.

Though he hadn’t enlightened the principle of Death to 20%, this was a process that could not be rushed.

And he was rather laid back as well, so he requested Ancestor Green’s presence.

He sought to experience the society within the Ancient City of Sun Jade. After all, he had only visited the Fantasy Jade Pavilion and the front gate of the Black & White School of Thought.

Thinking deeply, even back in Eldara, he had not taken a stroll through the city. This could not continue.
