Myriad Devils-Chapter 283: It is all about timing and imagery

Mystifying Jade Fantasy nakedly leaned against the wall on the highest floor of the Jade Fantasy Pavilion. Resting his head on her thighs, Elshen stared into her eyes with an unreadable expression on his solemn face.

The eyes of Mystifying Jade Fantasy were the mirror to a cosmic sky doused in a pink hue. They twinkled under Elshen’s intense, crimson gaze.

"Your face is always so serious, and your gaze is so..." she wanted to continue, but when she looked into those crimson eyes and attempted to decipher them, her blood heated up, and her heart began stirring with desire.

Scary!

She had an abstract soul, and more importantly, she was a Dark Elf...

For a Dark Elf, seeking pleasure was common.

It assisted their cultivation greatly, so they were inherently lustful and lascivious.

But this uncontrollable urge to be devoured by the owner of those eyes was too scary.

And she knew this was not right, but she still chose to overlook it.

This was the scariest part, though, they realized it, not.

She twirled Elshen’s blood-colored hair with her delicate, slender fingers, and her voice actually contained traces of worry.

She warned, "Elshen, even if you are a Realm Father of Ten Folds, against the other realm fathers, you must heed my warning."

Elshen’s crimson gaze glowed faintly at her words, but he showed no visible reaction on his face, and he continued to listen in silence.

"The realm fathers from Spilling World’s Blood School of Thought can be ignored."

"Except for that Blood Calamity, they have all lost themselves to savagery. And Blood Calamity is somewhat daft, so you will not struggle to manipulate him, if you so choose." She said without a hint of emotion.

Her eyes were cold and calculating, and her thoughts flowed like a gushing, heavenly river.

"Lord of Black & White, Mystic Profundity Matriarch, Enlightened Yellow Dust, and the disciples from their Schools of Thought will be prepared to battle a Dimension Lord."

"You must be careful when handling them."

Except for the Lord of Black & White, it was the first time Elshen had even heard of the names of these Dimension Lords and their Schools of Thought.

Maybe he hadn’t prepared enough.

’When voicing Fate, and weaving Destiny, I clearly didn’t detail it enough.’ He thought.

’There are too many unfamiliar names. I know these are Dimension Lords, but my wife, why didn’t she bring this to my attention?’

Elshen’s thoughts remained unreadable whilst he stared into Mystifying Jade Fantasy’s eyes.

Ah!

Upon truly taking in Mystifying Jade Fantasy’s eyes, he couldn’t help but think, ’Is this jealousy?’

’This is bad.’ Elshen’s heart grew dark.

You see, the World Tree influenced the entire Elven territory.

After acquiring the cosmic treasure within the Purity Heaven Realm, Elshen would instantly return to Mythralis.

He wouldn’t even confront these Dimension Lords, hence why he had been relaxed for the past years.

He basically never worried about actually battling the Ancient Lord...

Now there was some doubt in his mind.

’What if she doesn’t retrieve me after I steal this treasure? I’m not going to give it to Jade Fantasy, so am I really going to clash head-on with the Ancient Lord?’

He wasn’t afraid.

He would not die from this...

But if it did happen, he would remember this depth in his heart.

"Elshen," she called out.

Mystifying Jade Fantasy voiced, "Besides the Schools of Thought, there’s also the very same Revered Phoenix & Dragon Restaurant that you’ve been visiting, along with Sapphire Heaven Company, which, just like my Jade Fantasy Pavilion, has contracted rogue realm fathers from outside this ancient city."

Huh?

"Uncle Fatty is also seeking out that treasure?" Elshen squinted his eyes. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

The World Cooking Lord hadn’t struck him as the ambitious type.

"He’s just throwing out Dark Gold only to say that he has dabbled in the schemes of the rest of us, Dimension Lords." Mystifying Jade Fantasy scoffed.

"If he were to ever acquire it, he would give that treasure to another Dimension Lord in hopes that they become his Dao companion; however, he is the ugliest Elf across all Heavens." Mystifying Jade Fantasy chuckled.

Laughing, Elshen asked with a smile, "Is that an official title?"

The delicate lips of Mystifying Jade Fantasy curled upwards.

Seeing this, Elshen sighed and said, "He is pure, and that’s rare."

He knitted his brows and continued, "Now, about these rogue realm fathers that you’ve contracted..."

In the 27th year after Elshen arrived in the Ancient City of Sun Jade, the initial wave of Cosmos Forgers that had ventured out toward the cosmic fortuity had been doused with cold water.

The cosmic fortuity had been manifesting for too long, and some of the more shrewd creatures had long given up on this opportunity.

However, for those who still waited stubbornly, one day, they were brought painfully aware that this opportunity was not theirs.

On this day, the true powerhouses appeared.

Kaleidoscopic colors intertwined across a distance of three hundred kilometers, as if alive and sentient.

Cosmos Forgers, the daft... and realm fathers from the ancient city had gathered in the Barren Land of Old.

There were millions and millions of cosmos forgers remaining...

And there were even more realm fathers.

The color of the world was drained, and replacing it, suddenly, was a Supreme sun star radiating the brightest of jade!

The Jade-colored Sun appeared, its light sweeping over all those present, and so the secrets of all creatures were exposed under the perception of the Ancient Lord.

Only the realm fathers and cosmos forgers of the Sun Jade Ancient City were permitted entry.

His perception signaled the coming of the true powerhouses.

They appeared on cosmic vessels, and they instantly drew attention.

There was a dragon’s roar that reverberated throughout the world, and creatures standing on a dragon’s body, with phoenix wings, came from the far horizon.

The mysteries of the world parted, revealing an ocean that churned with endless momentum, and creatures on ships decorated in extraordinary jewels and cosmic treasures.

Sapphire Heaven Company!

Space twisted uncomfortably, and a Yin-Yang diagram materialized in the skies...

Black & White School of Thought!

A celestial mountain covered in grey fog appeared from nowhere.

Behind this mountain was the veiled face of the most beautiful existence adorned in a crown.

Mystic Profundity School of Thought!

The yellow sunset magnified the particles of dust throughout the world. From afar, humble creatures with hunched backs walked across the lands.

Enlightened Yellow Dust School of Thought!

A pinkish hue painted over the starry, cosmic sky.

Three thousand beauties were dancing, and heavenly notes reverberated across the world, mystifying all those who could hear them.

Just then, a pained cry resounded, and a booming sound exploded. The bodies of three thousand beauties exploded into a blood mist that doused the world in a blood rain.

The cosmic sky was torn apart by a bloody claw, and the entire world was drowned by a blood sea.

Crawling out of this sea were savage creatures.

Volcanic eruptions occurred, painting the entire skyline in a sea of crimson flames, washing away the bloody hue that doused over the world...

The heavenly tune returned, and splitting the blood ocean was a cosmic sky draped by a pinkish hue...

With the crimson flames in the background of the starry, cosmic sky, these contrasting imageries complemented each other brilliantly.

A path of blood thorn flowers emerged, walked on by a group of nine hundred and ninety-nine creatures.

Leading these creatures was an Elven warlord in dark red armor with a head of crimson hair.

His demeanor was cold and detached, and the bubbling aura enveloping him was frightening and fear-inducing.
