Mythical Three Kingdoms-Chapter 1423 - 1371: Hitting a Brick Wall
A short while back, when Gan Ning first encountered the Kushan Navy in the South Blue, Lyu Bu, situated on the East Coast of Australia, was also facing his own troubles.
Originally intending to catch some fish or snag a strip of Great Kun’s meat, he unexpectedly ran into the Kushan Navy desperately searching for Zixu.
After being submerged at sea, Zixu was cast into the Southern Hemisphere by a storm, losing all sense of direction. Later, around New Year’s, he encountered two Fortune Manifestation Bodies, absorbing one, while a ray of red light flew off at incredible speed.
Naturally, Zixu pursued it. Due to direction and angle errors, the distance of over ten thousand kilometers was skewed by about 3°, making Zixu miss over five hundred kilometers, hence not encountering Lyu Bu sunbathing in Australia.
Passing Australia, Zixu continued southeast, but since the Earth is a sphere with north and south as realities, east and west aren’t really existent, resulting in Zixu reaching Antarctica and squatting amidst the penguins.
Of course, it’s worth mentioning that at that time, Lyu Bu had actually sensed someone flying at incredible speed. Yet, his first reaction was to hide his aura rather than intercept the person.
Having not seen a single person since arriving in the Heavenly Realm, the first aura he sensed wasn’t any less than Ultimate Inner Qi Manifestation. For Lyu Bu, though Ultimate Inner Qi Manifestation was something he could overcome single-handedly, he felt it better to live quietly in seclusion with Diao Chan.
Therefore, Zixu ended up being in a tough spot, squatting on the icefield and never understanding why the sky wouldn’t go dark.
After Zixu flew off, Lyu Bu felt a little regretful. However, he quickly brushed the thought aside, finding it quite nice to spend a quiet life with Diao Chan. Nevertheless, it was indeed a bit of a pity.
For a long while after, Lyu Bu flew over Australia, confirming it was quite a dangerous continent. Perhaps the Heavenly Realm is truly perilous, with many aggressive marsupials on this continent, as for humans...
With his limited brain capacity, Lyu Bu could imagine that on this animal-dominated continent, those marsupials moving in groups could muster enough to form Cloud Qi. Without Lyu Bu’s level of strength, survival was surely unlikely.
Spending over a hundred days enjoying a peaceful hermit life, once again armed with his Sky Piercer, Lyu Bu went to find the Great Kun, intending to cut some meat, perhaps for a divine beast stew for lunch.
Since Lyu Bu once saved the Great Kun, the beast didn’t mind Lyu Bu taking a bit of skin and flesh now and then. Just over ten pounds of meat on Great Kun’s island-like body was negligible.
However, this time after cutting a piece of the Great Kun’s meat and returning home to make soup, a golden radiance charged towards him with incredible speed.
"Have you seen a person in purple?" The swift rush extinguished Lyu Bu’s thoughts of turning away. The person stopped ten steps away from Lyu Bu, not speaking, but Lyu Bu sensed what the other wanted to say.
"No." The person’s arrogant demeanor annoyed Lyu Bu, causing him to recall the purple light from three months ago.
"You’re lying. No one can lie before me, who possesses Telepathy!" The person looked at Lyu Bu arrogantly, demanding, "Tell me where that person went!"
Lyu Bu crossed his arms and gave a cold smile, although the person’s bizarre powers made him wary, no one had ever threatened him and lived.
"So you’re not going to tell me." The dark-skinned man wielding a spear’s voice echoed within Lyu Bu’s mind.
"It’s just a little mind-reading ability and the ability to transmit thoughts to others." Lyu Bu scoffed, confident the person could understand his words, and even if not, could grasp his meaning.
"Then I’ll just have to subdue you." Just as the man’s voice echoed in Lyu Bu’s mind, his spear thrust at Lyu Bu.
Lyu Bu countered with a slash of his halberd, but the person sidestepped, as if foreseeing Lyu Bu’s move, weaving through the opening in Lyu Bu’s attack for a more ferocious assault.
Lyu Bu was slightly surprised, his Sky Piercer suddenly extending a Halberd Light toward the person’s spear. At that moment, the person leaped up, stepping on Lyu Bu’s Halberd Light, spinning the spear like a staff toward Lyu Bu’s neck.
The next instant Lyu Bu flashed aside, but the person seemed to have anticipated it, a golden radiance already blocking Lyu Bu’s retreat.
"Whoosh!" The long spear pierced the air with swift force, yet such a robust strike had no effect on Lyu Bu, who had evaded the attack the moment it was launched.
"You foresee my moves? Is that your power?" Lyu Bu sneered, although his intelligence wasn’t remarkable, he had astonishing battle intuition and smarts.
The abilities shown by the man were indeed formidable, but in the hands of people like Guan Yu, they might’ve injured Lyu Bu. Yet, without surpassing that level, any power, no matter how great, was still worthless.
"Next, I’ll slash!" Lyu Bu declared arrogantly at the man opposite, uninterested in knowing his name,
"So arrogant!" The man’s furious voice resonated within Lyu Bu’s mind, just as Lyu Bu’s slash descended. Knowing his attack made no difference; how could it be avoided?
"Splurt!" Lyu Bu smirked at the man bleeding profusely from his chest. What good was pre-information to a man Lyu Bu decided to strike, who could escape?
"You dared injure me!" The man’s enraged voice permeated Lyu Bu’s mind. Unimpressed, Lyu Bu simply picked his ear, having spared him; otherwise, one strike would’ve turned him to dust.
Just as Lyu Bu was about to express his disdain, he sensed a strange transformation in the person. Countless golden lights emerged from him, forming a phantom in the void, rapidly solidifying with stunning speed.
"Oh, what’s this..." Lyu Bu icily regarded the golden-glowing figure, finally forming a three-zhang tall body with four arms, gripping a spear, sword, blade, and halberd. He perceived an unusual aura from it.
[His Spiritual Will seems altered, quite intriguing...] Lyu Bu’s pupils glinted gold, coolly watching the opponent.
"Inner Qi Solidification?" Lyu Bu laughed coldly at the giant figure lunging at him, "You think you’re the only one who can do this?"
