Mythical Three Kingdoms-Chapter 1428 - 1376: Fight and Shengzhi
The Kushan fleet was divided into eleven groups in total, one stationed at the Strait of Malacca for defense against surprise attacks, another heading north to avoid oversight, while the remaining nine advanced south, including the five fleets now facing Lyu Bu.
If these five fleets were slaughtered by Lyu Bu, the Kushan Navy would be halved, and such a situation must not occur unnecessarily.
Lyu Bu looked at the slightly relaxed marines below and couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief, but then he remembered something—hadn’t he ascended? How come people here know about the Huns and the Han Empire?
However, recalling how he had shattered space again earlier, shifting the attack nearly a kilometer, a possibility occurred to him that he might have just changed locations rather than ascended to the Heavenly Realm.
[So, does that mean I’m still actually in the Mortal World, just in a different place?] Lyu Bu thought expressionlessly, but he quickly set these thoughts aside.
Whether he was still in the Mortal World or not, pondering further was unnecessary.
The second-in-command of this Kushan navy looked up at Lyu Bu, who was also overlooking all the Kushan marines. The silence between the two sides made the atmosphere in this part of the sea incredibly oppressive.
"I disagree!" Lyu Bu shouted, suddenly erupting with the phantom of his outward appearance, wielding the halberd and slashing downward, while the Great Kun, in perfect sync, roared and launched an attack.
At the same time, a fiery light blazed from the horizon, almost instantly crossing from where the sea and sky met to Lyu Bu’s side.
Having struck down the opponent’s second flagship, Lyu Bu flipped onto Red Hare, easily dodging a legion attack coming his way thanks to Red Hare’s astonishing speed.
Unlike before, where the Great Kun’s slow pace forced him to endure attacks from the legion, Red Hare’s speed allowed him to dodge all attacks, giving Lyu Bu the freedom to fight or flee at will as long as Red Hare was around.
Of course, compared to the Great Kun, Red Hare could provide Lyu Bu with the strength of a regular Inner Qi Manifestation, incomparable to the vast, boundless Qi of the Great Kun.
But the speed Red Hare offered was something the Great Kun could only dream of achieving.
"Die for me!" Lyu Bu, riding Red Hare at an unimaginable speed, dodged three legion attacks, then swooped down and chopped off the mast of the opponent’s large ship.
Without the near-boundless Qi of the Great Kun and having already consumed significant energy, Lyu Bu couldn’t continue using the Celestial God Mode. With Red Hare’s limited Qi, activating the outward mode once would deplete it entirely.
So now, Lyu Bu could only resort to cutting masts, relying on Red Hare’s incredible mobility, which was barely suppressed by the enemy due to their severely diminished Cloud Qi and morale.
Even so, amid the opponent’s relentless attacks on our ships, Lyu Bu and Red Hare were nearly hit by the legion’s attacks.
"Retreat!" At the sound of a resounding horn, the Kushan Navy retreated north with all their might, leaving only ten warships to face the demon-like Lyu Bu.
As the Kushan navy cut loss for survival, Lyu Bu found no better strategy, only able to focus on the remaining ten large ships.
Having realized their fate, the Kushan rear army, driven by desperation, unleashed their convictions with reckless abandon. Legion attacks erupted, notwithstanding the harm to their soldiers’ strength, with diminishing power.
Ultimately, the legion attack launched was so weak it began to be consumed by their own Cloud Qi, yet the now weakened Lyu Bu chose to evade nonetheless.
After dodging the enemy’s final legion attack, Lyu Bu landed on the Great Kun’s head with no more counterattack capabilities from the opposing large ships.
The Great Kun, equally exhausted, had significantly depleted Qi; however, even in this state, it still surpassed Lyu Bu’s peak by miles.
Unfortunately, the Great Kun couldn’t use Qi like Lyu Bu. If it could, it would undoubtedly be the strongest creature in history. As it stood, it could be deemed a superspecies beyond Inner Qi Manifestation altogether or a monstrous Qi Refining to Gang level.
"Take this!" Lyu Bu, on the Great Kun’s head, vigorously mobilized its Qi, quickly replenishing his weakened body, though the mental exhaustion was harder to recover. Even so, Lyu Bu was brimming with confidence.
A light halberd phantom, a kilometer long, slashed through, tearing the remaining large ships into pieces. As Lyu Bu witnessed the sea stained with blood, he plopped down on the Great Kun’s head, utterly exhausted.
He then lay flat, gazing at the sky, while the Great Kun roared excitedly, showing much more vitality than before.
"Alright, when I recover, I’ll avenge you." Lyu Bu laughed, speaking to the spiritual Great Kun beneath him, viewing it as a rather excellent mount.
This time, however, Lyu Bu had suffered significant injuries, the deep wounds revealing bone affecting him considerably.
Likewise, the Great Kun, though submerging underwater after Lyu Bu shattered the space to evade numerous legion attacks, still bore several long, deep wounds on its back, alongside many whaling harpoons that took away nearly a hundred pounds of its flesh each.
These injuries significantly impacted the Great Kun, costing it dearly; yet, the desire for revenge—a shared trait of humans and the Kun—elicited an excited roar when Lyu Bu mentioned vengeance.
"Healing, healing; once recovered, we’ll hunt down those guys. Can you find them?" Lyu Bu said to the Great Kun, prompting another resounding roar.
"That’s good, rest, rest, I’m exhausted." Lyu Bu said with a wry smile, his body sore all over, with his meridians feeling scorched. The unleashed Qi was overwhelming, yet it felt incredibly invigorating.
"Red Hare, go back and inform Chan’er about the situation here, so she doesn’t worry." Lyu Bu patted Red Hare’s neck, despite feeling that Red Hare’s Qi was significantly limited compared to the vastness of the Great Kun.
Suffice it to say, compared to this island-like creature beneath him, any other life form’s Qi was notably scarce...
Red Hare neighed, shook its neck, then turned in circles and flew back to Australia. Lyu Bu’s absence saw Red Hare protecting Diao Chan; it could handle kangaroos well enough.
